  • hi cutie :)

  • i went on the it gets better project and i have to say your video touched me the most. me being gay, and taking a great appreciation for sign language your video touched me. i offered this to my friends who are gay and it helped them out in school. so thank you! i also wanted to point out that am hearing, and have taught myself sign language on my own, where i am running my own club in high school.

  • I love this video. And congrats on having it featured on tv! :D

  • i'm deaf and gay too, but my own experiences in both of those communities (deaf and gay) have been the exact opposite of the video uploader Adam's .... why, you might ask? too long a story to fit into the comment box, but let's just say that since quitting the deaf community in 2003 from 1997 and then the gay community from 2004 to 2010, my life have been so much better. and, i'll be 29 this fall btw.

  • ahhh i see what you mean. that's cool. gay and lesbian are cool and awesome! I'm not gay. lol I'm straight. my good friends is gay and lesbian or straight. They are cool. :D

  • Im SO happy they included a ASL video for ItGetsBetter and that the Deaf community is involved in it! I'm happy that ItGetsBetter is targeted for EVERYONE and not just the hearing or one ethnic background(: Gives me hope that the world might actually...GetBetter<3

  • My good friend Kyle graduated from Rochester, and he said the Deaf and Gay community at RIT is amazing. We're both hearing, but he's taught me all I know about signing. Love the video, it does indeed get better, and I gotta admit... deaf guys are definitely cuter ;P

  • @Sxel92 haha...thanks!

  • very cute and loved the vid

  • RIT has a rockin' gay-deaf community. I always thought the deaf guys were hot! ;-)

  • @rsgracey ha, i agree!

    anyone remeber that

  • Thanks Adam ! It gets better! You Rock!

  • thank you !

    you're so cute~

    : )

  • you did that really well. I do hope that your video will be seen by many, many confused deaf AND gay teens, who have no direction. Well done. Plus, you're cute! ;)

  • I can really relate. i didnt get majorly picked on or bulied oo much and when i did it was more about being deaf than being gay. I didnt come out untill i was finished with highschool and out of my boyscout troop and went to college. I started all over with a new slate and i'm as out as i can be. Luckily my campus- U of M twin cities- is one of the most open-minded colleges around. Theres lots of gay people here. I wear my gay pride wristband all the time and nobody cares. It really does better!

  • Hello...I just wanna let you know that You're not the only one..I am also Deaf and Gay..I came out when I was 17 and I am now 46..so..my family and friends knows about and they love me just as I am!..and Love ya video..you're so awesome!..Peace!

im glad that you felt comfortable enough at RIT, in rochester (my hometown) to finally be yourself. and now that youre sharing that with others, you've made a great mark on this world. keep it up :)

  • That was a really upbeat message, it makes me think its the other kids missing out on getting to know better the gay, or deaf, whatever "otherness" it may be. I'm sure things are already changing for the better, wish ASL was taught more regularly in schools to all kids.
