NATO keeps a close eye the north. If they tryed a military op like that they'd be put down QUICK. Aswell, I feel for the NK People. It seems far too many are far too gone. I hope any good may be done at all.
@alanrobert1987 yes if you read daz capital book you will know that marxim and leninism and also maoism is all AGAINST IMPERAILISM and this is ultra imperailism because kim jong il and his father kim il sung are worshiped like gods more like a personailty cult NOT COMMUNISM also mao disliked the DPRK for the samething im saying and when the soviet union fell. @shughes375 let us see, but which country has more influence in the world, N. Korea or USA? A country which adopts communism is not imperialist even though it has a craving for it. @xxDanielTM93xx you fat ass cheeseburger eater, you will never be able to march like this, "the greatest military potency" is just good to fuck with poor nations like Iraq or Afghanistan, fuck with China or Russia if you have balls, idiot.
Fuck your technology and the drones bombing , you coward , get on the ground with an m16 and charge , if you have balls.
@06hurdwp Too bad that the North Korean military, though able to put on a pretty parade, is complete garbage with shit for training and even worse shit for equipment.
@PhatFarm60 no it couldn't. The ROK is so reliant on the US for help that I doubt Seoul would have a structure above 3 feet tall if the ceasefire was broken. North Korea has the largest artillery count known in the world and all guns are aimed at the south. They also have nuclear arms now. Aside from a million man army, the DPRK has approximately 80,000 special forces agents that have infiltrated the ROK and lay dormant untill called upon. There are several documentaries on this.
@RussianSoviet5445 The DPRK army is so short on supplies that they can't even do live fire exercises because of lack of ammunition. Their equipment dates back to the 1940s/early 1950s; they still field T-34s for God's sake. I doubt they even have anything as modern as a T-72. Their air force is mostly Mig-15-Mig 21s, with maybe 20 or so Mig-29s, they don't even have Su-27s. One Nimitz class carrier with its air wing of F-18s could wipe out the entire DPRK air force.
@PhatFarm60 I thought we were talking about the North vs the South, now you're bringing the American airforce into the equation? Fair enough, but then add the support for North Korea like China and possibly Russia, both of whom have opposed UN sanctions on the DPRK since they were put in place. China has the largest airforce in the world, and recently bought from Russia (who designed modern tanks and jets on par with the Abrahms and F-22 raptor) the PAKFA and T-90 designs from Russia
@RussianSoviet5445 I seriously doubt Russia, or even China would support DPRK if they were the instigators of a 2nd Korean War... sure, if the South and the US randomly decided to invade then maybe they would help out.
Besides, Russia has nothing to gain by helping DPRK, as they no longer have to maintain the image of "Defender of Socialism" as the USSR is gone.
@PhatFarm60 I live in Russia and its not a matter of 'defending socialism'. Its a matter of defending territorial integrity, and north korea has always been our good neighbor, never causing us problems, and the US has always been our rival, power hungry and always making allies with our enemies like Georgia when we were at war, poland, ukraine. And if you honestly think that if a major war on the Korean peninsula would not draw out some sort of Russian and Chinese response, youre crazy.
@RussianSoviet5445 It would provoke a response, certainly.. But I seriously doubt that Jintao and Medvedev would rush 200 divisions to the aid of Kim Jong il if he were the one to begin an unprovoked war.
As for "power hungry", you are one to talk... trying to start pro Russia revolutions in Central America, in direct violation of the Monroe Doctrine; allying with Cuba and trying to place ICBMs there, flying Bear bombers towards Alaska and the UK, even to this very day...
Well that was in the 60's. We live in 2010 now, maybe you missed a few things over the past 50 years.. And it is international territory. If Medvedev wanted, he can position the entire Russian fleet outside Alaska as long as he doesn't cross the US national boundary and he could not be blamed for any harsh response. Americans and Brits are just hyped up on Russophobia, they flinch at the sight of a tupolev. As for the States, giving weapons and money to enemies of Russia isnt violating anything?
@RussianSoviet5445 Last I checked, Ukraine and Georgia weren't "enemies of Russia." More like targets of Russian imperialism, Russia would have invaded and annexed Georgia already if not for the US counterbalance. Putin and Medvedev want to rebuild the old Soviet empire, just without the Communism this time. All the US is doing is helping those former republics who don't wish to be part of Russia again.
I'm guessing you forgot the US funded terrorists in Afghanistan (the same ones they're fighting) during the Soviet Afghanistan war, and as a result, 15,000 Soviet soldiers lost their lives. And funding Georgia during the 2008 South Ossetian war. There are numerous occasions the US imperialism was allowed to approach Russian territory without being recognized. Why does the US need to put up a missile shield that would render our missiles useless? Why do they need airbase in kyrgyzstan?
@RussianSoviet5445 Why do we even need missiles still pointed at each other at all, since the 1960s are long gone, as you say? Seems to me that the modern world is dangerous enough without the US and Russia still trying to play 1970s politics in the 21st century. Seems most of Europe no longer wants a part of it anymore.
@PhatFarm60 You just asked yourself the same question I did; Why does the US need to point missiles at Russia? Missile shield, what for? All that BS about Iran and North Korea. Neither have long range missiles, only Russia and China do. The US is now under Obama who seems less bent on westernizing the world, so they are gone. But Russia never intervenes in world politics unless we are unfairly treated. Like the Ukraine and Belarus gas problems with Gazprom; they wouldnt pay so we cut them off
@RussianSoviet5445 The US points missiles at Russia because the opposite is true. There would need to be a simultaneous stand down to end that problem... not a bad idea IMO, too bad I'm not Obama and you're not Medvedev.
US missiles do need to remain aimed at China and DPRK for obvious reasons. (threatening peaceful democracies, Taiwan and ROK respectively.) As for Iran, no they don't have missiles that could reach the US, but they could attack US allies.
Are you trying to convince me that Russia has nuclear missiles aimed at the US? Now please, explain to me what would be gained from that... China may not be as justified, but the North wants reunification under the songun banner just as the south wants to reunify under capitalism. Both are stupid, both have powerful friends and neither will resolve this dispute peacefully. China on the otherhand can push around tibet and taiwan because they have the muscle to do so. Just like Iraq with the US.
@RussianSoviet5445 Don't kid yourself about Russian missiles m8. Russia still has thousands of missiles on active service since 1991; most of which have not been re-targeted. Many are still aimed at the UK, France, and other NATO nations as well.
Never once has Russia stated that it no longer has its ICBMs ready to fly at NATO. How can two people, or nations, truly be friends if each still points a gun at the other even while shaking hands?
Did you hear that from FOX news? That may explain something... And the US is always pointing a gun at somebody. If not Russia, its Iraq, or Iran, or North Korea. They even give 'guns' to puppet nations outside the ones they don't like. Like South Korea, Israel, Albania, Georgia and Poland.
Russia has ICBMs ready to fly out wherever the instigating fire came from. And the fact that Russia is shaking hands with the US is a ploy, or if Obama is real, not the true intention of the government...
@RussianSoviet5445 I don't listen to US news sources, I came to that conclusion following my own research, which came from varied and international media, on the matter.
As for supplying arms, I agree with you about Poland, and possibly even Georgia. However, Israel has been attacked, several times, by EVERY ONE of its neighbors, likewise South Korea was attacked without provocation by its neighbor. Enabling those nations to defend themselves is not wrong in and of itself.
@RussianSoviet5445 If I had came to my conclusions by watching Fox News, I would more closely resemble the stereotypical ignorant American, with a McDonald's burger in one hand and a super sized drink in the other. LOL :)
It is clear that our two countries still distrust each other, but there is much that can be learned from one another as well. Certainly, Obama has no such imperialist ambitions, but yes there are still those in both of our governments that still think it is 1980.
@mangokiller111 aaahahahahahahahahahahahhaha!!!fuck i m crying!!!aaaaahahahahahahahahahaha...and listen to the speaker!!!aaahahahhaha a brilliant leader!!!!
RudikRus1 that is true and even though at the time the DPRK in my view probably looked over what you said but the soviets probably stopped them or pressured them not to try any thing. To add the south koreans were badly outmatched during the seventies by the north koreans actually for many years the north was richer so they most likely would have won and it would have been a big win for the USSR because either the americans leave vietnam and move troops to korea or become overstretched
@Borin81 Unlike popular belief the DPRK is not a dictatorship. The DPRK is a single-united-party constitutional democracy guaranteeing freedom of speech and assembly to all citizens. DPRK citizens play an active role in their nation's political life at the local, regional and national levels, through their trade unions or as members of one of the nation's three political parties, which include the Workers' Party of Korea, the Chondoist Chongu Party and the Korean Social Democratic Party.
@promdawg From an interview of an ex security guard from Camp 22 Reformed Labor Camp. Also on a documentary about a family trying to escape to Japan by leaving NK and going to China to find a Japanese embassy.
Its all on Youtube.
I would never watch Fox News with that crybaby Glenn Beck or the racist BBC!
AP is the only true news source, and CNN is ok!
BTW Im not a right wing asshole and communism COULD work but Kim is a despot dictator. He's leaving it to his son (Very Uncommunist)

cafe1984 1 year ago
are you suggesting their military power is weaker than african/middle eastern country?
hanrinch 1 year ago
@AthynKronos ROK could beat DPRK even without Uncle Sam's help. It would be a BLOODY affair though, make no mistake.
PhatFarm60 1 year ago
@PhatFarm60 no it couldn't. The ROK is so reliant on the US for help that I doubt Seoul would have a structure above 3 feet tall if the ceasefire was broken. North Korea has the largest artillery count known in the world and all guns are aimed at the south. They also have nuclear arms now. Aside from a million man army, the DPRK has approximately 80,000 special forces agents that have infiltrated the ROK and lay dormant untill called upon. There are several documentaries on this.
RussianSoviet5445 1 year ago
@RussianSoviet5445 The DPRK army is so short on supplies that they can't even do live fire exercises because of lack of ammunition. Their equipment dates back to the 1940s/early 1950s; they still field T-34s for God's sake. I doubt they even have anything as modern as a T-72. Their air force is mostly Mig-15-Mig 21s, with maybe 20 or so Mig-29s, they don't even have Su-27s. One Nimitz class carrier with its air wing of F-18s could wipe out the entire DPRK air force.
PhatFarm60 1 year ago
@PhatFarm60 I thought we were talking about the North vs the South, now you're bringing the American airforce into the equation? Fair enough, but then add the support for North Korea like China and possibly Russia, both of whom have opposed UN sanctions on the DPRK since they were put in place. China has the largest airforce in the world, and recently bought from Russia (who designed modern tanks and jets on par with the Abrahms and F-22 raptor) the PAKFA and T-90 designs from Russia
RussianSoviet5445 1 year ago
@RussianSoviet5445 I seriously doubt Russia, or even China would support DPRK if they were the instigators of a 2nd Korean War... sure, if the South and the US randomly decided to invade then maybe they would help out.
Besides, Russia has nothing to gain by helping DPRK, as they no longer have to maintain the image of "Defender of Socialism" as the USSR is gone.
PhatFarm60 1 year ago
@PhatFarm60 I live in Russia and its not a matter of 'defending socialism'. Its a matter of defending territorial integrity, and north korea has always been our good neighbor, never causing us problems, and the US has always been our rival, power hungry and always making allies with our enemies like Georgia when we were at war, poland, ukraine. And if you honestly think that if a major war on the Korean peninsula would not draw out some sort of Russian and Chinese response, youre crazy.
RussianSoviet5445 1 year ago
@RussianSoviet5445 It would provoke a response, certainly.. But I seriously doubt that Jintao and Medvedev would rush 200 divisions to the aid of Kim Jong il if he were the one to begin an unprovoked war.
As for "power hungry", you are one to talk... trying to start pro Russia revolutions in Central America, in direct violation of the Monroe Doctrine; allying with Cuba and trying to place ICBMs there, flying Bear bombers towards Alaska and the UK, even to this very day...
PhatFarm60 1 year ago
Well that was in the 60's. We live in 2010 now, maybe you missed a few things over the past 50 years.. And it is international territory. If Medvedev wanted, he can position the entire Russian fleet outside Alaska as long as he doesn't cross the US national boundary and he could not be blamed for any harsh response. Americans and Brits are just hyped up on Russophobia, they flinch at the sight of a tupolev. As for the States, giving weapons and money to enemies of Russia isnt violating anything?
RussianSoviet5445 1 year ago
@RussianSoviet5445 Last I checked, Ukraine and Georgia weren't "enemies of Russia." More like targets of Russian imperialism, Russia would have invaded and annexed Georgia already if not for the US counterbalance. Putin and Medvedev want to rebuild the old Soviet empire, just without the Communism this time. All the US is doing is helping those former republics who don't wish to be part of Russia again.
PhatFarm60 1 year ago
I'm guessing you forgot the US funded terrorists in Afghanistan (the same ones they're fighting) during the Soviet Afghanistan war, and as a result, 15,000 Soviet soldiers lost their lives. And funding Georgia during the 2008 South Ossetian war. There are numerous occasions the US imperialism was allowed to approach Russian territory without being recognized. Why does the US need to put up a missile shield that would render our missiles useless? Why do they need airbase in kyrgyzstan?
RussianSoviet5445 1 year ago
@RussianSoviet5445 Why do we even need missiles still pointed at each other at all, since the 1960s are long gone, as you say? Seems to me that the modern world is dangerous enough without the US and Russia still trying to play 1970s politics in the 21st century. Seems most of Europe no longer wants a part of it anymore.
PhatFarm60 1 year ago
@PhatFarm60 You just asked yourself the same question I did; Why does the US need to point missiles at Russia? Missile shield, what for? All that BS about Iran and North Korea. Neither have long range missiles, only Russia and China do. The US is now under Obama who seems less bent on westernizing the world, so they are gone. But Russia never intervenes in world politics unless we are unfairly treated. Like the Ukraine and Belarus gas problems with Gazprom; they wouldnt pay so we cut them off
RussianSoviet5445 1 year ago
@RussianSoviet5445 The US points missiles at Russia because the opposite is true. There would need to be a simultaneous stand down to end that problem... not a bad idea IMO, too bad I'm not Obama and you're not Medvedev.
US missiles do need to remain aimed at China and DPRK for obvious reasons. (threatening peaceful democracies, Taiwan and ROK respectively.) As for Iran, no they don't have missiles that could reach the US, but they could attack US allies.
PhatFarm60 1 year ago
Are you trying to convince me that Russia has nuclear missiles aimed at the US? Now please, explain to me what would be gained from that... China may not be as justified, but the North wants reunification under the songun banner just as the south wants to reunify under capitalism. Both are stupid, both have powerful friends and neither will resolve this dispute peacefully. China on the otherhand can push around tibet and taiwan because they have the muscle to do so. Just like Iraq with the US.
RussianSoviet5445 1 year ago
@RussianSoviet5445 Don't kid yourself about Russian missiles m8. Russia still has thousands of missiles on active service since 1991; most of which have not been re-targeted. Many are still aimed at the UK, France, and other NATO nations as well.
Never once has Russia stated that it no longer has its ICBMs ready to fly at NATO. How can two people, or nations, truly be friends if each still points a gun at the other even while shaking hands?
PhatFarm60 1 year ago
Did you hear that from FOX news? That may explain something... And the US is always pointing a gun at somebody. If not Russia, its Iraq, or Iran, or North Korea. They even give 'guns' to puppet nations outside the ones they don't like. Like South Korea, Israel, Albania, Georgia and Poland.
Russia has ICBMs ready to fly out wherever the instigating fire came from. And the fact that Russia is shaking hands with the US is a ploy, or if Obama is real, not the true intention of the government...
RussianSoviet5445 1 year ago
@RussianSoviet5445 I don't listen to US news sources, I came to that conclusion following my own research, which came from varied and international media, on the matter.
As for supplying arms, I agree with you about Poland, and possibly even Georgia. However, Israel has been attacked, several times, by EVERY ONE of its neighbors, likewise South Korea was attacked without provocation by its neighbor. Enabling those nations to defend themselves is not wrong in and of itself.
PhatFarm60 1 year ago
@RussianSoviet5445 If I had came to my conclusions by watching Fox News, I would more closely resemble the stereotypical ignorant American, with a McDonald's burger in one hand and a super sized drink in the other. LOL :)
It is clear that our two countries still distrust each other, but there is much that can be learned from one another as well. Certainly, Obama has no such imperialist ambitions, but yes there are still those in both of our governments that still think it is 1980.
