He could have been saved if he were sent to a top laminist specialist. Instead of the other doctors, then he could have bred and made more POWERFUL, BEAUTIFUL,and SWEET foals like too!!!

Its a possibilty but those doctors did fight hard for Barbaro's life, you cant deny that.. They worked hard for eight months, but I agree having his amazing colts would have been great, he was truly an amazing horse

A modern day ruffian. It's so tragic that in spite of the advances in technology we still weren't able to save this magnificent horse. But I guess some solace comes from the fact that he touched so many through his struggle. Truly, he was on of the greatest horses I have ever seen; The best 3 year old in one of the best crops of all time. I just can't help but to wonder what it would be like now if he hadn't suffered such a horrific accident. Excellent tribute to an excellent horse.

I agree, he was an amazing horse. Watching the Preakness, I was already a Barbaro fan, and when I saw what had happened, and that he was being pulled up, I was so upset. Thanks for the comment!
