  • ive neveer liked corvettes much and I'm American

  • this is corvette - no fucking volkswagen!!!

  • Why do you fucking British people have to hate on americans. Your just jealous cause no matter what you say, the corvette is a bad fucking machine. And is way cheaper than these other British cars with a slight better interior, and slower too

  • @RyderGutierrez

Screw what they say. People that make fun of others have self esteem issues and or they're jealous like you said... I love America, it's cars & don't give a damn what some other country we're supposedly great allies with say about it. God Bless America & everywhere else in the world =D

  • how much that cost to your country? here in Greece is around 20.000 to 25.000 euro O.o

  • I'll still stick to my 40 year old Dodge, personally.

  • @nlesiak3 Don't forget the SRT10, it's #4 for the quickest lap time on the Nür, behind the $440,000 dollar more expensive gumpert apollo. And the ZR1 is 8th, correct. Now just put that $440k in motor work and interior work so the Brits can have a snobgasm and you have the best cars in the world.

  • ok need to hammer home a point, it DID come in 3rd in that gay test, and it DOES have a little cheap interior, but the corvette was made for $20k less than ANYTHING comparable...it was built so that a middle class american can have a super car....just like mustangs and corvettes have been since thier creation. if chevy wanted to make the corvette a $170k car it could, and it would destroy the competition at that price range as well, but americans dont care about stitching and suede,we <3 FUN! :D

  • @nlesiak3 and just to shut everyone up, they made the corvette zr1, STILL under $120k, owns cars 5x as expensive

  • @nlesiak3 What complete bollocks. Americans do care about stitching and suede which is why euro cars sell over there even though they can't compete in bang for buck. If GM knew how to make an interior and made an expensive vette with all the nice bits it would sell and probably pick off a few buyers from euro makers. Trouble is GM's idea of luxury is fitting more extras - not building whats there better.

  • @nlesiak3 It boils down to the ad men in GM. They can't advertise build quality but they can advertise a lower price and some more power. If it weren't for those shit heads the vette would be built better with nicer materials, cost more and wouldn't get the slagging it does for it's cheap finish.

  • Brits. Still mad about the hole Revolution thing. SMH. Let it go guys. Let it go. B)

  • Well he is right about the transmission, it's hard to shift in it because it needs to be able to withstand the obscene amounts of power and torque. So get over it :p

  • there is nothing biast about mentioning the weakpoint of a certain car. speciallty since the ones reviewing are used to high quality properly buildt cars.

  • @sphinxofthenewage your grammar and spelling is terrible

  • @n9athan aaha YES they are

  • he spun the wheels on purpose

  • Slower than the evo MR around the test track. three times the displaecment. 100 more horse power. But still slower than the evo MR. And a little more expensive.

  • Viper > Corvette.

  • @123gwf

    YES FUCKING YES HIGH FIVE

  • fuck all these expensive cars...im swapping my kia motor for an lnf 14...there sleeper

  • these guys are hugely biased.....must have gotten fucked over in taxes back in the past or something

  • @wellshii It's a British show, and alot of Brits get pissy when anyone says something American is better. Hents why they made the TVR faster, which is actually Russian now, not British. If you watch the ZR1 Topgear videos, they make the Audi R8 look just as fast as the ZR1, when in reality the ZR1 is miles beyond the R8.

  • @TiconderogaX What they were trying to show you was how much of a handfull the vette was at speed where as the R8 was much easier to drive basicaly stating that you can go fast even if you are an average driver.

  • NSX > Corvette any-day. i have a NSX and it still goes fast as hell.

  • Big ups to the NSX for smoking the Vette. It being 5 years older and having 110 hp disadvantage. Down side top that is that NSX is like 80 to 100k price. ouch...

  • @AutoTechie20711 Unless its used.(In which case it has to be) so the NSX will actually be quite comparable in price to a vette.

  • The C6 Corvette (and entire American performance car industry) has come a long way since the time of this video but yet they ignore that fact b/c the UK viewers prefer outdated American jokes over facts.

Cars TG has avoided and will continue to avoid.

    Mosler Raptor GTR (top spot)

2010 SSC Aero ( would beat Veyron SS time and is 100% in house built now kit car my ass)

    Viper ACR (top 5)

    Corvette Z06C

Mustang GT 5.0/Boss 302 (faster than BMW M3)

    Cadillac CTSV Sedan/Coupe

  • @Greendude33 Mosler is a kit car.

SSC aero was a kit car and no one in England owns one for use by Top Gear

Viper ACR They should test it but the tested a base Viper against a BMW z4 M check the video.

Mustang boss 302 faster than an m3? A Vauxhall Commodore SS (Pontiac G8) is faster than an M5. that kind of story has been done already.

All these cars you've mentioned are cars that topgear would have a problem finding because of the availability and willingness of the owner to loan it out.

  • @AutoTechie20711 How in the fuck is an SSC a "kit car"? Bugatti,Pagani,Morgan,Lotus, Mclaren, Ascari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lambo, Gumpert,Noble etc... All ship in more outside parts than SSC whom builds 100% in house SSC even forges their own engines now something the MP4-12C cannot say with its Nissan block. And If TG can show the M600, Zonda and Gumpert they sure as hell can show a Mosler.

FYI most of the cars TG shows is out of the reach of 95% of English viewers so what's your point.

  • @Greendude33 All those cars you have named are readily available in the UK or Europe. They don't want to pay to have a SSC shipped to Brittain for testing and have to be liable for it. How about you write to the guys that build the ssc and tell them to ship one to Top gear and then you might see a test. All the cars that top gear uses are not under laibilty to the topgear staff. they are all publicity cars.

  • @Greendude33 I just researched the SSC ultimate Aero and found that there are less than 50 produced in a year. Good luck finding an owner that is willing to hand one over to TopGear and have them risk crashing it LOL!!!

  • 2:05 dosed by the red hot chili peppers, i love that song :)

  • the only thing i do not like about this corvette is the steering wheel i mean look at it its ugly

  • i hate how they always cut down american cars,

  • @brandon6pk Well, what do you want them to do; lie?

  • @brandon6pk i know what you mean, but when you look at the comparisons to european cars, american cars are in fact junk. I dont like to admit it but its true. Plastic interiors. Thats all that has to be said. Same with the suspension. The camaro has a decent suspension, but the mustang is trash. Theres just nothing really that makes american cars special compared to nice european cars. What would you do if you drive a veyron one day and a crappy plastic vette or something the next. lol

  • @brandon6pk

and maybe there is a VERY good reason-LEAFSPRINGS and transmission from a oxcart

it s a very fun and fast car but the TVR absolutely thrashed it and it has round about 300-350 hp the vette has 400+

  • @alek493 The NSX is 5 yeears older and has 290 hp. I would love to see a comparison test of the vette against the out dated NSX. And show how much you can get a used NSX for against a New Vette with its "Vietnamese" suspension LOL!!!

  • @AutoTechie20711 They are both 2005's. The Ls2 was taken out of the base C6 corvette's and independant suspension was added. And the 2005 270hp base NSX was $90k. That's $15k more than a Z06 corvette...You Honda fanboys know less about your own cars than you do about cars in general =P.

  • @TiconderogaX Are you talking american specs here or what? The C32 in the NSX has 290 hp and the C6 is still in production today. You are thinking about the c30 engine which was in use untill about 98. Unfortunately sir you have been miss informed. do your research before you open your yap. A used NSX with 290 hP will cost about 40K around the same price as the C6 vette. But will smoke the hell out of it.

  • @AutoTechie20711 You're right about the HP...I don't know why the other site said 270hp...But every website says they were $90k at retail, and have a current value of $56k (6 years later). As for speed. The 2005 C6 has a better 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile, and even nurburgring track time. Once again confirmed by every site on the internet...

  • @TiconderogaX Top gear usually uses profesional drivers for their test. so the drag race they showed was pretty acurate. Also the American NSX is slower than the ones over sea's. We only run 92 octane at best but the NSX benefits from the Higher octane fuel over sea's where as the Vette doesn't. I think england has like 98 octane or more japan has a max of 101. So it depends on whit country you are in I guess. but it is still 290hp vs 400 hp and almost the same weight.

  • @AutoTechie20711 Umm, any car will benefit from higher octance fuel. They sell high octance fuels like 101 here, but it's rediculously expensive. And you kind of prove that the vet is faster. 110 more hp, 150+more torque, 3100lbs -/+ for both cars, by sheer numbers, the vette is faster...

  • @TiconderogaX Anything with forced induction or high rpm will benifit from it but the vette doesn't benefit much where the nsx benifits alot more. and on paper It looks like the vette is faster but the drag race shows other wise. That is probably why everyone underestimates the honda. LOL!!

  • @AutoTechie20711 Lol. I think you should change your name...All cars gain power via higher octane. While yes forced induction does make a difference in that increase, but not because of a turbo or blower of any type, it makes a difference with compression ratio's. And the stock NSX's are N/A, not forced induction.

  • @TiconderogaX Hey Bro. you just agreed with me and told me to change my name? Dude the stock NSX's are NA yeah they are but they also have a very agressive Vtec cam profile and are also a high compression engine that opperates at well over 7000 rpm.

The vette was desssigned to run on 91 octane. has no valve timing and has relatively low compression.

  • @AutoTechie20711 What? The Vette runs 10.9 compression...

  • @AutoTechie20711 The LS2 corvette is 10.9 compression, the NSX is 10.2...RPM and V-tec have nothing to do with compression ratio's buddy.

  • @TiconderogaX Actually I was thinking more burn duration during ignition and I don't have the numbers readily available but airflow by volume of displacement vs actual volume being moved has alot to do with it plus I just said the C32 was designed to run on higher octane so i have no idea why we are talking about this right now. By the way the c30 is 10.2 and the c32 is 10.5 So tell me fella's why did the vette lose so badly the th NSX in the drag race if it is so much better than it?

  • @AutoTechie20711 Lol, that looks like it was copied right out of wikipedia. When the piston moves up the bore of a block, it creates a compression of fuel and oxygen...High compression cars tend to wrap faster, or rev faster, but not always, it generally depends on the size of the piston. It lost because this is Topgear, and they hate anything American. They say it all the time, it;s nothing new to anyone who pays attention. But numbers don't lie, and the numbers are against you.

  • @TiconderogaX I'd rather the under dog on this one. I'm am alittle biased myself. I've always been a big fan of the NSX ever since I saw Vannilla Ice drive one. LOL!! Could never afford one though until recently but now its about finding a decent one that has been well taken care of. I could just as well buy a Vette but then I'd have to grow a pony tail and start beating my wife. LOL!! JK.

  • @AutoTechie20711 Lol I've always thought of the pony tail and mustache to be more of a Porsche thing...I'll agree the NSX is a sexy car. While I'm not a fan at all of Honda's cars (but I love their bikes), I would still buy one if I was a little richer.

  • @alek493 clarkson,is that you?

  • corvette > everything

  • The clutch and gear shift is a little stiff, so only REAL men can actually drive it.

  • @MasteratArms15490 Too bad most Americans buy it in an automatic.

  • @AutoTechie20711 Tragic ain't it.

  • FUCK YOU GUYS!

    Its a freaking nice car!

  • Well if you want to call carbon composite leaf springs.... antiquated....

  • @TheArfdog I have a fiberglass handled hammer. Same old tool. less weight.

  • @AutoTechie20711 Agree. Fiberglass is antiquated, carbon composite is modern.

  • @TheArfdog Cant afford a carbon composite one but same Idea. It's still a Hammer.

  • with performance like that we brits certainly arent jealous about your plasic vietnamesed suspension car

  • Vett is awesome, british people just gotta hate

  • no.the vette and the viper are good, but for big, long and smooth american roads,in europe we have tight little roads so it's useless to have a 500 HP muscle car...

  • Comment removed

  • @MithroJin it's JEALOUSY and envy

  • aaaw poor baby, he isn't strong enough to work a clutch or switch gears. Do a few push ups man! It isn't that hard.

  • What a damn ugly steering wheel

  • @camaroXpharaoh

Yeah, they went to a much smaller wheel the following year in '06. I hate the '05 steering wheel too.

  • @IrishChris1979 The 4 spoke is fucking ugly on performance cars, and that one is ugly even for a 4 spoke.

  • @camaroXpharaoh

I couldn't agree more! Everybody on the forums call it the "Dough Boy" wheel because it looks like the Pillsbury Dough Boy without a head ha ha. One guy actually got the head and taped it to the top of the wheel and sent us all pictures of it LOL. Too funny.

  • Haha, German plate ^^

  • I have a feeling that this was a little biased

  • @diedie111590

    a little?

  • @diedie111590 no shit :P Brit's can't get over the fact that average hard working ppl in north america can afford those and they can't in there communist euro broke country

  • @diedie111590 LOL welcome to top gear, comparing american muscle to european desires, that's like taking chili fries into a french diner and doing a taste test

  • For 40k I would buy a new Subaru impreza wrx sti 2012.

  • All muscle cars are crap. American companies never had the passion to produce a quality build beautiful fast car. Don't know if it's the Unions behind this mess or maybe it's board of directors, ceo or basically we have a lot of shitty designers and engineers. The corvette is way overpriced. Interior plastic for the dashboard, leaf suspension, cheap fiber glass for the body, why does this car cost over 40k? Aston Martin and Jaguar might be slower than corvette but they are better quality.

  • @dalexandruz its not leafspring its independent they use plastic because its lighter take a real look at a corvette and its the same quality than aston or jag and you know you named two companies that are owned by ford

  • Comment removed

  • @EJLSWE nah american top gear sucks just like clarkson

  • @EJLSWE

I'm American and I love this show...the English version. I watch it all the time and agree with many of their reviews including the reviews on American cars. So I'm sticking to this version (:

  • *sigh* Everyone hates America :[. lol

  • When I see an occasional Ferrari, Porsche, Aston or Maserati passing by, I'll notice it.

    When a Corvette passes by...

I'm like Tony Stewart in his Armor All commercial. I stare.

  • Wow lots of haters dont even call yourselves enthusiasts.

  • brits are a bunch or retards their opinions are out of jealousy

  • Americans cant make cars.

  • At least the Corvette isn't as ugly as a pile of assholes like the Porche. The Porche is too small too!

  • @mjpitche PORSCHE! Not Porche!

  • @mjpitche porsche looks great they handle amazing to much better than a american car

  • @mjpitche I guess the looks are a matter of opinion. At the very least the Corvette is sexy as hell where the Porche is utilitarian. The Corvette sounds a lot better and is as fast and handles as well as most Porches so why spend the extra money for a Porche?

  • @carlito73

Your English is not very good.

  • @carlito73 relax capslock fanboy

  • At least get a ZO6.

  • Italy has ferrari, germany has porsche, and america has:

    chevrolet.

o my bad, this isnt an IQ test, its top gear

  • I am so fuckin sick of Clarkson, you sir need punched in the face, quit hating everything that wasn't hand built in your fucking backyard you biased asshole.

  • @kckough Actually both Clarkson and Hammond own American cars, Ford GT and a Camaro. I'm afraid its you Americans that have little acceptance of that not from your own backyard.

  • @terrortorn sir I have nothing but love for every car on the road today that deserves mentioning, I frequently applaud each and every company that strives to put pride in their vehicles and the only thing "foreign" means to me is that the poor manufacturers had to switch the drivers seat. In fact I would choose and Aston Martin over any car. BUT Clarkson will say "I hate this car, because for starters its American and that says it all." And it simply puts his credibility to shit for that vehicle

  • @kckough On the other hand Clarkson has a lot of experience of American cars that Corvette in particular and you may say if it looks like shit and smells like shit there is no need to taste it to know it is shit! However in all Clarksons testing of American cars he says much to their credit, fun, power, look at me styling etc . He's not biased, he knows his business. I fear American cars are victims of their own isolated market and national pride,

  • yeah..ok....now try a Corvette ZR1 vs Porshe or TVR or whatever expensive crap

  • 2:20 aaww poor baby

  • how are you gonna compare a porshe to the vette, and complain about plastic interior, when the vette is 20 thousand bucks cheaper? Honestly, I would buy a corvette over a 911 even if it was twice the price

  • yes i am comparing corvettes ride against the ferrari as thats the discussion and i know the corvette is no where near as good as the ferraris if it was the ferrari would be using leaf springs and so would every other car maker in the world ,as for never being in a ferrari ,you dont need to be ,go look at any car ,or ask any car designer or engineer or mechanic ,or are you going to say the WHOLE CAR INDUSTRY ARE WRONG?

  • Vette is my fav american. but my heart belongs to euro and some jap

  • why do they have idiots like this to drive this amazing american cars?

out of those 4 cars the corvette is a better looking car :)

  • dear Richard Hammond

check out my profile and u'll see a video of an LS2 C6 pulling away from an Audi R8

  • 2:20

about the gearbox and the clutch

thats because you are too short to reach the clutch and again your is as too short to reach the gear lever

and to conclude, ur size determines how much power u got to shift ,,

  • anyone know the song at 2:53 ?

  • @Lozman2k3k2k3k Red Hot Chilli Peppers- Venice Queen... the songs of this video are from them

  • @crazysax2004 thank you my friend

  • Respond to this video... Red Hot Chilli Peppers- Venice Queen

  • I love the NSX but, it is quite hard to believe that it won a drag race against the Corvette..

  • that has to be the poorest excuse for a drag race i've ever seen. an NSX beat the c6 vette? you can't be serious!

  • "the brits have aston martin". Sorry, sport. up until a few years ago Aston Martin was owned by one of those American companies "up in your business" and now it's majority owned by companies in Kuwait.

if Aston Martin is the epitome of british engineering how come it wasn't in the drag race?

  • @CarOnTheWall if you actually listened to the nice man you will understand that they put cars on the track with approximatley the same horsepower ,do aston martin make a car with that low horsepower?

  • Comment removed

  • the vehicles on the track do not have anywhere close to the same power output. and yes, the v8 vantage of this era makes 420hp. however, the Vantage will do 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, the corvette does it in 4.3

  • seriously, how DARE this dude try to mock the american government. The British have SO much blood on their hands. PS jeremy, the corvette is an awesome car you piece of shit. By the way, your accent sucks, pussy.

  • Their beloved Aston Martin couldn't beat the base model C6 Corvette on the Top Gear track!

    Aston Martin got a 1:27.1

    Corvette C6 got a 1:26.8

    LOL!

  • Corvettes rule the roost!!!!

  • The clutch is actually pretty smooth and easy to work with because there's so much torque. and the transmission isnt how they're making it sound. sure, when its cold its a bit tougher to get it into gear or maybe it requires more force but still. i think Hammond is just weak and complaining about everything :P

  • Comment removed

  • psh...you want a rough ride...buy a viper....

  • Somebody please humor me

How the hell did the nsx beat the corvette?

  • @keith8880 They are very quick, you'd be surprised. They're light and the big thing for them at speed is their aerodynamics. I watched a few videos last week of some NSX's and was shocked.

  • Not a Muscle Car fan , but i only think this car needs ABS and Traction Control for Race Track , even with such interior style either Coke bottle body ( ... ) ; for that price worth to focus on some jogging or gym visiting , which can be used for more purposes too ...

  • So these idiots are saying that a red Bucket on wheels with leaf springs can go faster around the track than Porsche 911 gt3 ???

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • @javitrevi79 Look up some lap times. It does. The spring is a fiberglass transverse spring with double wishbones on each end. The spring acts as the springs and the antiroll bar.

  • @javitrevi79 Exactly ! They don't know it, but they actually dig their own hole when they make fun of how supposedly "ancient" the technology is in the Corvette...

YET IT'S BEATING some amazing sportscars in the meantime on their own track! LOL! The Ferrari 575 only just tied the 1:26.8 time of the $40,000 C6 Corvette! And that Ferrari costs waaaaaaaaayyy more in price! LOL!

  • @Northax the ferrari is built for a smooth comfort drive and has heavier sophisticated suspension ,is known as a grand tourer meaning it isnt a car designed for a race track unlike the corvette which is a lighter car with a larger engine cappacity but the point your missing is...the vette is fast and light and uncomfortable for long journeys ,the ferrari will get you there quickly in style with quality the vette will get you there quickly with a bad back.........so you get what you pay for

  • @SuperTerryBull You're repeating only BS spoken of by Jeremy Clarkson, who tends to seriously exaggerate on things. I've spoken to people who've driven their Corvettes long distances and had no problems like what you speak of. Even someone in Germanic says he drives his Corvette a couple hundred miles to the Nurburgring quite frequently and has no problems concerning lack of comfort.

All you're doing is spreading rumors now.

Corvette is even fuel efficient for sportscar. The Z06 - 26+ mpg HW

  • @Northax i`m not repeating anything ,i`m stating a proven fact built from generations of car designers that a leaf spring isnt as comfortable as the ride given from independant suspension and shocks or are they as safe .if it was why the hell did they change them ,your just defending a car blindly because its from your country listening to facts or reason ,all your doing is being ignorant

  • @SuperTerryBull

    the fact is

chevy uses leaf springs for something called weight distribution and believe me, corvette is comfortable am not saying that because i like it, am saying that because its the truth honestly . and talking about suspension

cadillac were the ones who made Magnetic Selective Ride Control (MSRC). which is being used by Ferrari, Porsche and bla bla bla

  • @alagy is it as comfortable as a ferrari?

  • @SuperTerryBull

    WTF ..!!

    off course yes,

Cadillac's comfort compared to ferrari ?

    r u serious ???

  • @alagy your obviously an idiot and not worth talking too

  • @SuperTerryBull

hey dickhead, when i mentioned the MSRC thing, i was talking about Cadillac, i twas just a piece of info

now if u were comparing corvettes ride comfort against ferrari's u're a douchebag.

+ i've never been in a Ferrari so i can't just say yes or no

  • shits pissed me off i stopped it two minutes i cant watch this. fucking bullshit.

  • c6 vettes ride great, that bullshit

  • @ElectronblueZ06 and of course the price difference is amazing

  • porsche lost = then german cars are the worst and porsche is the worst supercar maker ...

  • its funny these brits make fun of american cars even though brit carmakers struggle against other euro cars and all of them is either owned by american or german car makers hahahahahahahaahah

  • @tom80cruse I know lol, when they filmed this episode their beloved British sports car maker Aston Martin was still owned by Ford lmao.

  • this guy isnt even american were tuff we dont need the smoothest ride ever

  • When you want supercar performance @ a bargain price you buy a Corvette.... PERIOD! It is VERY IGNORANT & CONTRADICTORY to boast the affordability in one sentence, & in the next you bash it because they didn't SPLURGE on the interior "decor" and other pussy-foot BS accessories.... DUH, there is a REASON that it is priced so much better than other cars!!! The visor wearing pussies SHOULD be complaining about the LACK of perfomance in their overpriced non-American counterparts. Truth is vital

  • @heavymetalhero08 what about in england, where a supercar bargain (vette) is £100k ($165k)....... i'd rather have a porsche thank you very much... its only cheap and usable in america.. its expensive everywhere else which ruins the point of it being a bargain supercar... exploring the rest of the world and seeing it from another perspective is whats vital

  • @blahblop123 Base model is that Much or ZR1? You have a good point if that's the case........ Even the Base model still beat the 911 GT3's time, but I like Porsche as well. Your own personal taste is non-debateable. I personally am not affecting by how much anything cost in England so I have no logical reason for keeping up with that. THEY talked about what a bargain it was, so I assumed that it was inexpensive there as well.

  • @heavymetalhero08 the Z06 is 100k, the base model is £70k the zr1 is £130k.. the base model is pretty much about as much as a carrera S.. it used to be £40k, but that was back in 2004. i think updates and new engine knocked the price up. it used to be bargain, but it hasn't changed as much as the porsche. back then the cheapest porsche was 20k more and was slower, now a carrera S is similar priced, faster and more sophisticated... c6 hasn't changed apart from the ls3 engine and magnetic dampers.

  • @blahblop123 I am definately NOT knocking Porsche.. Great cars. My comments were just referring to the info in this video. i understand that its old now. I have an 2005 Vette that I paid $25,000 for, I believe that a new Base model now is around $50,000 now.. What's the 1/4 mile, 0-60, top speed & price over there for the Carrera S? I dont know much about them to be able to compare. Either way, I would agree that Porsche is a sweet ride.... would love to own one someday

  • @blahblop123 You Europeans put taxes on American models because they're afraid American Corvettes will outsell Porsches and other European cars that naturally COST a lot more than the Corvette.

Blame your politicians for being chickensh|t scared little bastards for the price of Corvette in your countries over there. lol! ;-)

  • @Northax when you buy a GTR your paying for a peice of what a billions of pounds of research can get you... the corvette uses the same recipe from the history, front engine, rear wheel drive, pushrod v8, double wishbone... its an awesome recipe, the perfect setup, but, who will pay £70k for a car with a setup that £2k second cars have... think about what your paying for... plastic body, £4k engine, plastic interior.. its cost GM around £30k to make the car, i dont like being ripped off !!

  • @blahblop123 Video says Porsche is 60,000 vs Vettes 40,000 in Europe! Maybe YOU need to open your ears for some "perspective" buddy. Incase you didn't know, Europe is NOT in the United States of America. Sounds like YOU are the one knowledgeable about the bargain level in your nation ONLY. YOU are the one that needs to "explore" the rest of the world.

  • Jeremy Clarkson....... when in the HELL did ANYONE ever complain about a sports car being TOO WIDE? Man, you are digging REALLY hard to find something negative about the Corvette!

  • @heavymetalhero08 you havn't been to europe have you ?

  • @blahblop123 Video says Porsche is 60,000 vs Vettes 40,000 in Europe! Maybe YOU need to open your ears for some "perspective" buddy. Incase you didn't know, Europe is NOT in the United States of America. Sounds like YOU are the one unknowledgeable about the Vette's bargain level in countries other than USA. YOU are the one that needs to "explore" the rest of the world. I have NOT been to Europe and have no desire to.

  • @heavymetalhero08 that review was made in 2004, you dont even know what your watching and your lecturing me about knowledge ??... the vette is £70k today, thats not cheap.. as much as a carrera S which is faster and doesn't have a dust bin for interior... europe is NOT like the US, and a vette is NOT cheap here...

  • @blahblop123 The Corvette C6 base model is around $40,000 here in the U.S.

The C6 Z06 (505 HP, beats Ferrari F430, Porsche 911s, Lambos, etc. on TG track) is around $65,000 to $70,000 in the U.S.

If they cost more in the EU, then that's EU fault for putting so much import and other tax on it. Not our fault. lol! Over in the U.S., Corvettes are cheap for their performance rivaling highend European sportscars.

  • @Northax Yes the c6 is fast but it appeals to different people than highend euopean cars. The corvette like the viper is the working mans car or blue collar workers car, porsche, ferrari, and lambo are for upper middle class and capitalists

  • @fifafan1

Corvette is for capitalists as well, that work for their money. Why bring up capitalists only for high-end cars? That's silly . lol

They're both in capitalist system. One is simply in a lower price range.

  • @ElectronblueZ06 that was the stupidest shit i ever heard, your name says it all doesn´t it?

  • I went to a BMW dealer and sat in a $80,000 M3 and I swear to god, not being biased because I don't own either, the interior was not any nicer then the 2006 Base Vette I sat in. Fact.

  • @PreviewHD I agree, and that Base Corvette will destroy the BMW on the track....

  • @ElectronblueZ06 Amen to this statement.
