this game was quite harsh actually.. This scene, the one with the mountain goat(especially if you go back to her later..), the entire ending, they all made me feel a little depressed when I was younger and playing this.

That's the point of the game. It's a dark drama - the theme gets progressively darker as it goes on.

It''s a good game, but it is nothing like a final fantasy game. Final fantasy focus more on telling you the story and the game is more of a vehicle to carry you from scene to scene.

These Enix games are more about you experiencing the story through the main character and the game is still very much a game (thus harder and more frustrating overall). I always found the Enix/Quintet games to be more personal. This one is very good, just totally different from Final Fantasy games.
