  • This album is so much better then Vince's solo project!!!!

  • very underrated crue song corabi deserves his kick ass due

  • whatever, musically this is the best album they ever made

  • John "V" Corabi kicks ass -n- always has.Highly underated singer and frontman!

    and w/Mick Marrs...SHHHHHHit!

  • Fucking solid. No wonder if flopped, it's great - The world loves shit.

  • @AutumnNightFall Couldn't agree more!! People instantly dismissed it because it wasn't Vince, whatever?! This cd ROCKED!!

  • Frist time I have heard this. I thought it was great. Makes you wonder what could have been.

  • I can remember waiting and waiting for this album to come out. It was BAD ASS! the first time I heard this song was the shit I was just so stoked to hear a fast heavy kick ass song. Too bad this band didn't have the comercial success it deserved. I think if they would've changed the band name or somethin it might have done well in the same vein as Velvet Revolver or something. Fuckin Best Album since Shout at the Devil which is the best.

  • I'm a die hard Crue fan since 1982 with 16 concerts to my credit but I have to admit, when John Corabi came along, it was the best music they ever put out!

  • Best crue ever,,fuck vince!!!!

  • fucking badass!

  • this guy transform the sissy sound of motley glam shit to a thrashy beast

  • @Volksgranadier so true,,Vince is gay glame bullshit!!!....this is the best crue ever!!

  • Corabi's vocals bury Vince!! No comparison!!! One of the BEST Crue albums!!!

  • By far the best music by the CRUE!! Corabi can actually sing!! I was blown away when this was released!! and I still love it!!

  • @gwilt23 Vince is a great singer get your facts straight troll. :)

  • @ChazISaCrueHead Troll? LOL Dude! Seriously? Why u gotta be callin names? LOL I didn't say Vince couldn't sing, I just said Corabi's a BETTER singer! It's just my opinion...

  • oh no i like Vince better

  • yo, guys, does nbody knows what's the brand of the les paul Corabi is playing? The one with art metal top. He got the same guitar in Hooligans Holiday video

  • best music Crue did was with Corabi. hands down.

  • It's a similar story to Black Sabbath. The original singer who set the stage was replaced with someone with more talent. Neil and Ozzy are performers. Dio and Corabi are musicians. Still, the replacements may be better technically, but the originals have more mass appeal. The masses don't care about talent.

  • @azimuth361 WELL said!!

  • @gwilt23 \,,/ \,,/

  • I like Corabi way better. I honestly dont like Vince Neils voice that much. This song is pretty good.

  • for me its not motley crue without neil

  • neil is what makes motley crue motley crue without him they are motley crue and a singer

  • i like vince and corabi although corabi could sing better, but ithink everyone should stop ripping on them

  • with corabi motley crue is a heavy metal band, but with neil its a crappy media band.

  • corabi ruined motley crue. after he left and vince came back, motley went downhill fast.

  • Corabi is the greatest thing ever happened to Crue! with him and him only i respect the band!

  • well, you obveously have no taste in music.

  • Actually Bob Rock ruined Motley Crue, just like he ruined The Tea Party, Metallica, and Skid Row

  • @Ashe1031 Bob Rock never ruined Metallica....

  • @ElectricHellfire Wherever he goes, a band breaks up or a member leaves.

  • Vince is just the signature of motley´s sound, but Corabi is really a better singer... Vince is special, but Corabi just Kick Ass!!!

  • Best album they ever did! The production on it is freakin awesome...... Tommys drum sound is sick

  • Corabi should start his own band. I think hes great, but it just isnt Crue. Bruce Kulick has the perfect for his style. They should form a band, because I love Bruce too.

  • @Kaneknife They did they called the band Union

  • sounds like shit. theyre not the same, its either all 4, or its not motley crue. Vince is way better than this fagget ass.

  • Turn in your man card!!!

  • go fuck yourself

  • Corabi is zillion time better singer then you winnie little Vince "FAGwannabee" Neil

  • fuck off you have no taste in music you little shit

  • HAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... you're such a winnie yourseft..........haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I like it!!! so easy

  • They SHOULD have kept Corabi and changed their name. It was a good band with him, and a good combination, but you can't screw with something that has been established. People just don't like it....

They should get back with Corabi and get a new name.

You can't change the color of Coca Cola and expect people to like it, no matter how much better it might be.

  • "You can't change the color of Coca Cola and expect people to like it, no matter how much better it might be."

    2 wods: Crystal Pepsi.

That is all. BTW I agree. Crab was a great addition to Crue and Crue should have been called something else with Crab. But nothing succeeds like success. Not much we can do about it now except listn to the fine sonic record left behind.

  • John Corobi makes this band play something different.. even better . it's just my opinion. but Motley crue with neil still rocks.. but with corobi band sounds more heavy and cool

  • I agree. Have you heard Vince Neil live? He has lost any semblence of a voice. he sounds horrible. Corabi rules

  • well, Vince isn't so bad, ofcaurse, but Corobi i like more.

Vince is trying to sound better, but he even don't see result of it. he sounded great between 80's. mybe 90's too.

  • Corabi tb

  • very similar to black sabbath's situation with ozzy and dio. in motley, vince is more suitable to their sound, however john corabi is a much better musician. in sabbath, ozzy is more suitable to their style, however dio is a musician and ozzy is just merely a singer. however i will take ozzy over dio and vince neil over corabi

  • yeah, i totally agree with u

  • That's well said.

  • tbh if this was released with a different band nowadays, they would be pretty huge!

  • i have this CD! actually it's my dad's but the riffs and drumming r sickk!

  • cool !!!! やっぱり一番かっこいいね!!!!!

  • i want this album!

  • the crue shud do a corabi tour again n release all the unrealesed tracks we corabi that sixx has got stored up his ass CORABI RULES

  • This is Some Badass Heavy Shit!!!! This music was to early for its time !!!!! This music should be touring wit KORN !!!!!! and like Music......

  • if the band we corabi had bin called sumtat else this would have bin fuckin huge SMOKE THE SKY

  • I`m glad to see people finally giving Mr Corabi the recognition he truly deserves!!! This album STILL rocks!!!

  • This is a similar situation that happened with Black Sabbath. The original singer laid down the sound, then a better singer came along. Dio and Corabi have a lot more talent than Neil or Ozzy, but they're missing that Crue/Sabbath sound that made their respective bands famous. Additionally, Dio and Corabi are musicians. Ozzy and Neil are performers.

  • I can't agree.

you're right that Dio is better than Ozzy... *Dio is god*

but Vince is the better singer and his voice is more suiable to the Motley sound than corabis, with vince they became famous and made all the crazy shit for whom we love moltey crue. anyway corabi said repeatedly that he preferes to play the guitare than singing.

  • I think we're just going to have to disagree. But it all comes down to preference. Dio is a much more talented singer than Ozzy, but hearing Dio sing 'War Pigs' on Live Evil sends me reaching for the skip button. It's the same for me with Crue. Corabi has immensely more talent, but Vince established that Crue sound. Hearing Corabi sing 'Home Sweet Home' also sends me reaching for the skip button.

  • Further, a lot of people are comparing talent with success. If talent were a measure, then Malmsteen would outsell Prince. I hold steady in my assertion that Corabi has more talent, but the material was inferior and he came along well after the golden days of heavy metal. Crue was riding high on the crest that they, Ozzy, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Dio, Iron Maiden, Cinderella et al who formed the wave of heavy metal. Corabi came along when metal as an entire genre had lost its mass appeal.

  • yeah but malmsteen can't play with any feel. every vid of him i hav seen bores me cos all it is is shredding. i would much rather here Mick Mars or Slash. hell - even Billy Gibbons is better in my view! i am supportive of shredders, as long as they can have some emotion, but to me malmsteen is shit. Paul Gilbert or Steve Vai are emotional shredders. you should hav used them as ur example, not malmsteen.

  • I agree with you completely regarding Gibbons. he's great. And I could use Gilbert and Vai to reinforce my point. Ask 100 people and 99 of them won't have heard of them. Ask them if they've heard of Prince and I'd bet a fair number would know. With reference to Malmsteen, some of his songs are overflowing with emotion, but those songs are on his first couple of albums. But technically, he's brilliant. It takes a lot of skill to play Malmsteen riffs. Slash and Mars, not so much

  • i couldnt agree more!!!!!!!!!!

  • Don't ever mention Cinderella & Iron Maiden in the same breath again.

  • Okay, yeah. You're right. My bad.

  • "Ça fesse dans le dash!" as we say in Quebec! You're right, what a voice and what a sound! I love this album too!

  • well, i love crue with vince, but Corabi era provided some great stuff. Hooligan's holiday is in my top 5, and it is a great track!

  • Yep this album is great. Mötley Cruel!

  • Having Corabi was the best thing Crue ever did - Finally, a voice to match the balls of the band. A shame it didn't last because he wasn't the pretty boy the girls want. This song rips.

  • Hell yeah. Amen to that.

  • this was the best shit!! shouldnt have called it motley crue though way too heavy for that name! i love this album. too bad they didnt start with him imagine if vince came in after john!! people would have thought they were a bunch of pansies.lol

  • paráda,corabi exelentsinger,tomi is tomi

  • i love everything that motley did in the 80's with vince but this album is true music! and corabi is very underrated unfortunately...

(btw this song reminds me of soundgarden and soundgarden rules!)

  • This roxx !!! Should've gotten more credit.

  • damn, I just love this. :)

  • I agree his and the first 2 Motley Albums were the best.

  • The Definate BEST crue album Ever...V.Niel can suck me balls compaired to J.Corabi. VERY GREAT SHIT CRUE with him.

    RAW AND VERY ROCK !!!!

  • I am a big fan of Motley Crue and Vince but this album is my favorite from The Crue. I mean if you sit and just listen to this album it's amazing The lyrics and Instrumentals are greater from other albums. I also think Corabi is a better vocalist than people give him credit for.

  • Vince sings through his nose, there is no way he could sing one single song off of this album....just listen to this song and tell me that Vince could sing the chorus....no fuckin way.

  • Corabi kinda looks like Tom Araya from Slayer.

  • I LOVE this album. Sixx and Lee were un-fuckin-believable. And Corabi's voice so much better for true metal.

  • i don't know about that. they're both good. but corabi has something that vince doesn't. that raw voice. but they are both great singers.

  • the song's about weed, where is it XD

  • I'm not a big crue fan but I got this one day out of one of the cheap bins at the mall and it's a great cd....just awsome from beining to end, it's a great cd, especially this song and hooligans holiday...too bad it got looked over so fast.

  • Best line up was with Corabi. Best album they ever put out. Just goes to show how vince limits them. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan, but it's true. Too bad this album came out about 10-15 years too early, it would have been huge if it came out in the last 5 years.

  • men what vince has way better voice men

  • Now that's Motley Fuckin Crue. Awesome Heavy Metal song. John Corabi rule.

  • This should have been the first single off the MC record. This is a rocking song! Proves to the rest of the world the 'new' Motley rocks hard!!!!! Hooligans was way too slow and moody. Smoke the Sky is a flat out headbanger!

  • I bought the Corabi Crue on tape years ago when it came out. No, it wasn't Vince, but, this was, and still is an awesome album. I found the CD last week for ten bucks at my local record store. It would have been interesting to see how well the album would have done if they would have changed the bands name, and no one knew it was the Motley guys.

  • I like both corabi and neil, I dont think you can get anyone to replace vince without pissing people off or feeling that there is a impersonator singing. But what else could the band do? vince left on his own and was racing cars I dont think you could have gotten a better front man than corabi at the time.

  • thak for the nam. I had a musik cd and i hanen't the name.

I wanted to have the name because i looov this song ^^

  • Smoke the sky

  • i like motley crue better with vince, but john corabi had a better voice, he had that raw voice that vince doesn't have.

  • sorry, what' s the group's name ?

  • its motley crue :S :P

  • This song really kicks ass! Love it!

  • im a fan of both, but sorry corabi blows him away easily

  • Corabi's voice is so much better than Vince Neal's.

  • fuck you vince neil is better than that motherfucker

  • Very intelligent response ruikku. Do you always swear at people who have a different opinion than you? Grow up.

  • Brother, I must disagree with you.

Vince's voice is Motley Crue's signature, without Vince, Motley Crue won't be Motley Crue.

  • Actually - I'm female...so I'm not a "brother".

I know that Motley Crue is best known because of Vince Neal...but that doesn't mean his voice is better. Its all subjective. I think Vince's voice is terrible. Doesn't mean I don't like their songs - but I think Corabi has a better voice.

Also - I think Motley Crue wouldn't be Motley Crue without Tommy Lee.

  • Oh I apologize, ma'am.

Well if you find Corabi a better singer, that is your opinion, I find Vince's voice better, and that will be all.

Btw, Motley Crue won't be Motley Crue without anyone of the original crue.

  • "ma'am" lol. I may be 29 but this is not 1950.

I do think that when Corabi joined they should have changed the name - I believe they would have done better than they did.

  • and besides mick mars has just addmitted in an interview that this is his fave album :D

and i have to admit its one of mine

but still motley wouldnt be motley without vince :D

  • mabey it got them noticed but that can happen to anybody i think it was the terror twins that kept them in the spotlight especialy since niki wrote the songs

  • I don't care if it is Motley Crue or not but this album is the best.

  • I agree this was one of the best albums put out by the Crue...Corabi has a killer voice and would've loved to seen him longer in the band but thats the music world, I love the Vince era as well just this album had that heavy beefy dark feel to it with Corabi and i loved that

  • an album that was way under rated

  • this sounds like megadeth

  • yep it sounds like megadeth but vince neil is better

  • This reminds me of KISS' problem with Ace Frehley & Tommy Thayer. Everyone on fucking earth knows that even if he was wearing mittens, Tommy Thayer can play fucking circles around Ace Frehley. But Ace has a vibe, a feel. Tommy doesn't have it. Same with Vince & Corabi. Vince has it, Corabi doesn't. Period. The best musicians in the business (Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen) never amounted to shit, but the average guys with the FEELING (Angus, Roth, Stanley), those are the guys who made rock LEGEND.

  • Talented or not, John Corabi killed the band. The Crue haven't been the same since firing Vince, just like Skid Row & Bach. I saw them in Little Rock in late 90s playing to less than 1000 people when a few years before they'd be playing to 10,000 at Barton Coliseum. The only meaningful success Motley has had since firing Vince was "Red, White & Crue." Otherwise, they've been a dead issue. Corabi could be God & it wouldn't matter. People want Vince. Corabi singing "Home Sweet Home?" Fuck me.

  • I can't believe that I only got this crue album last year. It really is their best, along with Dr Feelgood. At the end of the day, Vince Niel was the frontman for Crue, no disrespect to Corabi, but it would be like Jon Bonjovi singing for Metallica, the chemistry has gotta be their. It would have been interesting if Corabi had stayed in the band with Niel, and had a Kiss Simmons/Stanley thing going. Corabi knew how to write a song.

  • sixx wrote pretty much everything

  • I love the Crue in this era and with Vince just depends what mood im in

  • That riff is way too similar to "Caught In A Mosh" by Anthrax.

  • bad ass bass line anyone know how to play it

  • John Corabi is a killer singer is his own right. He just wasn't Motley Crue. Vince Neil is Motley Crue; shitty, wimpy vocals and all. The lone album John did with the Crue certainly was one of their more musically progressive albums and was certainly my favorite Crue album in terms of it's production quality and Crue's musical development.

  • They had a limited press EP with him as well...fucking incredible music on that

  • i hvnt heard the ep :@

tht sucks i wanna hear it

  • well find it

  • Try iTunes...the EP is called 'Quarternary'

  • I love Motley Crue, any era, but to me THIS IS AS MOTLEY AS IT GETS. This song and album just plain f'n hauls ass. Would be interesting if they had stuck with this lineup or honestly had gone with two singers as suggested in the Dirt. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  • great song!

  • its a shame the fans didnt give Corabi a chance. He could've really moved the band forward. Brilliant singer.

  • Dude original lineup forever! Vince was made for Crue.

  • but he aint motley crue

  • Blame management, blame the LABEL,

Vince Era CRUE was cool for the time in it's era. BUT the Corabi Era CRUE was an EVOLUTION.

That lineup could have slugged it out with Pantera, Prong, White Zombie of the '90's era.

    Musically and Musicianship wise, the

CORABI CRUE album was the best they did,

as musicians they took a step forward.

    So, it didn't sell well.

Management and the LABEL didn't market it well

  • Yeah Good band vocal excelent

  • THIS IS HEAVY AS SHIT--I LOVE IT!

  • Hands down the best Crue album. period.

  • motely crue y jhon corabi son rock

  • i think Corabi rocks - but i prefer Vince tbh

  • Corabi's voice is SICK.One of the best and most under rated singers ever and he's not to bad on the old guitar either!Check out his stuff with THE SCREAM.

  • I love how heavy this song is. Totally sick.

  • Its like the Crue joined ACDC for a day.

  • could this song be about...getting high?

corabi is an awesome singer, very underrated

  • you got it

  • motley crue trying to be megadeth interesting.

  • yeah bcus mick mars and john corabi were both depserate to be the metallica reject that was/is dave mustaine. NOT!

  • My favorite Crue CD... Wish I could find good Poison Apples video on Youtube video... the bass on this album bugs the shit out of my pain in the ass neighbors... I play it often...

  • This album and this song ......fuckin' cool..one of the best crue songs -album- but not one of the "tradicional" crue songs ..that's all ....I mean.

  • way ahead of its time when they released this beast.

  • Absolutely agree...far way ahead.

  • yeah man, that disc rocks hard.

  • Just bought the album and it caved my face in. Nikki Sixx is and always will be the soul of the crue. So in that regard, you have a heavy as f... Motley Crue record.

  • Nikki's lyrics, bass playing were all better on this album . In fact , the music was also better to. Corabi gave the Crue a better rock style. Mick Mars has wicked solos on this album and Tommy's drums are sick. By far the best Crue album music wise.

  • Music wise, U r sure rigth !

    But:

It was also a differnt music than the Albums before....

But I like this album !

    Greetings !

  • the only thing they fucked up was still calling it Motley Crue. A name change and this shit would have killed. But there was too much hype to live uo to as a new singer for the Crue

  • Generation swine is shit, but selftiteled rocks guy, you are a bit untolerant!

  • this is the first time i have heard their new singer and have seen this video. I am IMPRESSED by their new tunes and style. this is very much a BETTER MOTLEY CRUE.

  • Maybe not better, but different !

But sure not in a bad way !

  • well, this took place back in '94...So it's not really a new crue at all...this has come and gone already, unfortunately.

  • corabis an awesome singer but motley crue is Nikki,Vince,Mick and tommy

  • Best Crue album by far. Corabi is a more accomplished singer then Neil'll ever be.

  • Best Crue album by far. Grunge meets heavy metal.

  • John fucking rocked and still does. Love both versions of Crue...Vince and John. Anyone that doesn't like it can fuck off.

  • I actually liked the album Motley did with Corabi. Sure, it wasn't the REAL Motley Crue, but who gives a shit? The album still kicked ass!

  • motley crue gone grunge interesting.

  • It's really sad that Vince's ego is too big because the crue should have had a reunion with both singers. Vince on Vince stuff and John on John stuff. As a life long Crue fan I can speek for the fans and say we would have loved that! I went 3 times to the reunion tour and it would have been nice to hera "Uncle Jack or "Smoke the sky" or "Hammered" Instead of a 14 min version of "10 seconds till love". That's just what I think.

  • i wouldmt of gone if john played

  • "true crue" lol. if YOU were, youd support em no matter what.
