I am no Jack Johnson fan, but damn, it really does feel like the sun is rising whenever he picks up the verse, very excellent cover. The guy must have talent to know that this song was perfect for him. If only he could right this good for himself...
Not bad, but Jack Johnson, in my opinion, is not really a dynamic singer at all. Plus this version is too country. Bob Dylan specifically wrote this song for Richard Manuel to sing because he could sing in such a high register; by far, Manuel is the most underrated singer of all time.

This version is terrible. I find all the songs on the band tribute record very depressing. I feel that the true magic of music is lost on my generation.
