so do u think 529 is a good price thinkin about pickin 1 up tomorrow payday not sure if it has night sights ill have to check thanks for the video id love some feedback
@dustynutz82 - Seems to be a little on the high end, but if this is the gun you want and it is within your budget, get it. Everyone on here has different price tolerance. I did a quick look, and it seems that most places I priced are hovering between the low to upper $400s. Your mileage may vary.
@glajl No. The P250 is a self decocking Double Action Only (DAO) trigger. It has a bobbed hammer that cannot be cocked manually allowing for single action shots.
Just got the compact frame with full size slide.Went from a S&W SW40VE.I like the Sig much better.Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but it feels better than my old S&W.Well built weapon.Got mine with night sights for $400.
got mine for 300. you paid WAY too much for that pistol man. i bought mine off a family member for 300 when they got it for 350. i was there when they bought the thing so yeah haha. bummer bro.
To all the sig haters...every pistol has its own issues...it doesnt matter what pistol u shoot wether glock, sig,fn,springfield or what ever...if u cant put that lead on the target...that means u cant shoot! So dont blame it on the sig.u just got to learn how to operate it and not the pistol operating u. Army leads the way hooah!
I just got this gun brand new for free my only dislike is that you have that far trigger pull every shot you take . Thats why im getting a sig p229 it has a hammer and after the first shot the hammer stays back so thats nice lol
I have the same model in .40. Awesome gun, i carry it everywhere....it does not have night sights and i only paid 550 for it.id say its a good trade off. Wish i could carry it more in summer months. but its kinda big
I have the p250 full size in 9mm with night sites for 416 out the door. There is nothing wrong with the 9mm.I got mine for just going to the range and having some fun shooting......My soon to be personal carry will be the tauras p845 in .45 cal.
Got a 9mm two-tone. I never see two-tone models. Had to wait for it to be manufactured. Almost 1,000 rounds. No issues. I just received the 45ACP full size kit for it today. Osage County Guns...$248 delivered! Top Gun has mags for $31.95!
Thanks for the update. I am actually considering getting a subcompact kit for mine... Have not decided yet. If I do, i will be sure to post a new video. I will have to check out the Top Gun site. Always looking for additional mags.
Hey man I just had to sell my glock 23 cause my wife ended up in the hospital but she is ok now and im getting a new gun. One of the things with me is recoil, how is the recoil compare to a glock 23 if you know?
@CTermunde Prices vary brother. I'd say you got an excellent deal, not that I necessarily got "burned". If I didn't think the pistol was worth the price, I wouldn't have paid it.
@LDub619@LDub619 I am not a big "ammo and ballistics" guy. I tend to put a higher emphasis on how I shoot as opposed to what I shoot. That being said, I prefer Remington Golden Sabre as my personal defense ammo choice. This is a personal preference thing, but if you come across a box, give em a try.
@gunguy78 i also have a P250 in .40 cal and i love it u got a good gun. u should check out the DRT defense ammo as well as the Hornady Hollow Points. I use Hornadys for my self defense and they work very well.
i had the same problems wtih my p250 and aiming with dao... i tend to anticipate the shot... also not so used to the night sights, which i now just plain love, if you have a darker range it is easier to line up the sights, but brights ranges you just don't have have the illumination to tell it they are lined up. while in a dimly illuminated room you can see the front sight is raised just a bit higher than the rear sights to line up the sights. I dunno if it was intentional or not though.
I just bought one this morning in .40 s&w and it only came with one mag as well....looking online looks like the going price for those mags are around $40 each...hopefully i'll be able to get a better deal at an upcoming gun show
@GsUp82 Well, the good news is that it looks like mags are more available now than they were when I got mine. You can always try to get a good deal on spare mags at a gun show. Take care ~
Top gun supply dot com has P250 compact 9mm magazines for $32 each. Best price I've found for them. 9x19 has become my favorite pistol caliber over the last few months. Low recoil and very similar ballistics to the more expensive calibers but with higher capacity.
I break the trigger pull into two stages and have no problems. I shoot it dead on but at close range, I tilt the muzzle upward a bit. MidwayUSA has extra mags but they are expensive. I love the gun regardless but $40+ for extra mags and only coming with 1 magazine sucks . . .
I was between this and the Glock 19 at my first purchase of a handgun. I went with the Glock, I had to. Then again this is a great pistol. Gen2 work best! Great buy.
@0Rockstar7 don't feel bad. u aren't the only one. about 90% of the world's population has their head shoved so far up Glock's ass, they can't open their eyes and realize that there are other quality companies out there. I have a P250 and i love it, as well as Sig Sauer because of their quality and reliability. I will also take a Walther P99 over a Glock anyday. My buddy has a P99 and they are very ergonomic, accurate, durable, and reliable.
@0Rockstar7 I am getting a job at my local police department soon and alot of the cops i know are issued the Glock, and they have told me that they HATE it! time at the range and they deal with jams, misfires, and a lot of other problems. they are probably gonna switch to XDM's soon. Glock's are not all they are cracked up to be. i have shot one and i don't like them.
@0Rockstar7 yes i would agree. i do not like the long revolver style trigger pull of my P250. it takes some getting used to because i am not used to shooting DAO pistols. which is why i was debating on trading mine in for a Sig P226 in 9mm since it is DA/SA. but with a lot of range time and practice, it's really not that bad.
Also gunguy78 you were asking about getting extra mags for the p250. I know down here in Houston Texas our local academy sports and outdoors just started selling the sig p250 mags that are original for the 9mm version. The guy told me they should start selling the extra .40cal mags soon too but they had a bunch of 9mm so you might want to go there first. Here they were $39.99. Hope that helps.
Good review on the sig p250 bro!!!! I plan on getting one next month in the .40cal. I get so damn sick an tired of bitch's commenting on here how oh I bought one of these guns and they suck. I mean I know when sig first came out with the p250 they had some kinks they needed to work out, but from what I've heard sig did just the thing. They fixed the problems now the gun is pretty much flawless for the sig name. As long as you check the manufactured date and if it's newer than august of 2009 the
I bought one of these guns as well and i love it but i thought it shot low too until i did some research and found that this gun has "Combat Sights". Apparently with these sights they are designed to be tougher and have a quicker sight alignment. But the difference with the sights is the sight alignment as opposed to "target sights" were the point of aim is the top of the front sight. With these the Target must be completely covered by the front sight. instead of placing the target above
@blitzkrug front sight try covering the Bulls eye of the target completely. Also there is a technique used with the eyes were the shooter focuses more on the front sight (both eyes open) making the target slightly blurry. I believe that this is used to have a visual of the target bulls eye to compensate for the sight eye (the eye completely covering the target) so while the sight eye is focused on the front sight unable to see the bulls eye the other eye is able to see it to compensate
well going to the 9mm vs. .45 kinda deal here both are good the 9mm has much more penetration and the .45 more damage not just because it is bigger but also slower it drags more
Wow $540 is way to much for this pistol. I see them all the time for $369 and I was able to pick up the 2SUM with night sights for $489 plus tax. I agree that it is a great gun and I love the concept but I feel bad for those who get raped by dealers charging twice as much as they pay for them.
great video!! just picked one up yesturday used thanks for the info never thought of useing a spent casing for dry fireing!! dont know if you check yet but cheaper than dirt has sig p250 factory 15 round mag ! once again great video!!
I think you will like your purchase. The only negative thing I can say about the gun is that it has been very hard for me to find replacement magazines. I was finally in a gun store and they said they "only had two left". My response was "great, I'll take em both". Thanks for the comment - glad it was helpful.
Good review. I'm picking one of these up in .40 from a local dealer tomorrow to replace my P6 as my primary carry weapon, also he's throwing in 2 extra mags, and a .357 s&w barrel for 499. These guns are a steal right now and I would also recommend this to anyone.
Its a gen 2, look for sig logo on the upper grip as opposed to centered as on the gen 1, and finger cut out on the gen two magwell as opposed to a finger recess on gen one for the magazine. (easiest ways to spot)
Thanks for the comment. Great food for thought. After taking the gun to the range several times, I can honestly say that it is one of my favorites as well.
PS: People are shooting it low and left because they are aqueezing too tightly with their gripping fingers when pulling the long trigger. They need to let the energy all go into their trigger finger..
I think you just bought a very nice gun. I have the compact and sub-compact in .40S&W and I love both of mine. I have a couple of vids of mine on my channel and plan on putting up a range report soon.
I just got one used 375! Love this gun
