  • @rusnanerces It is a diesel. The flame you see is to heat the 'hot bonnet' heads to make starting possible. (Like glow plugs.)

  • Where is this gin located? Was this a special event or does it run every year? I'd like to see it. I have photos of my late grandfather's gin from this era, complete w/horse-drawn wagons lined up & waiting to unload.

  • I used to watch this cotton gin run (on electricity) when I was a kid.
