@terrellstorms Not likely. If it is, more likely around Chicago. Mesoscale features though are hard to predict even a day out so will keep an eye on things.
lol Thanks man :) That's my "Catch Phrase" when I see a lightning strike hit the ground. You may also hear myself and other storm chasers say "CG" when that happens (Short for Cloud To Ground) Lightning.
It was amazing that just before the Shelf Cloud became visible, it was beginning to outrun the main precipitation core as it was forming a line of Cumulus Congestus quickly along it's edge. Did you see how it was trying to form a gustnado briefly?
Got to love that CG! keeps you on your toes! I'm really looking forward to this season!
