  • I long for a simpler life. My son is 5 now. I hope we get to fix up a trailer like this and go hunting & fishing together after he has his heart and soul in it. Thanks for posting this.

  • thumbs up, how long did it take to finish?

  • @tanrbuns...About two months worth of weekends.

  • That looks quite comfy, outstanding job on the transformation!

  • My friends and I did this 25 years ago when I was 20 something. We rebuilt a camper and used it for deer hunting. Those were the days. Seared venison loins and beer, we went into the small town bars at night and chased after the local girls. Man, I wish those days were back.

  • This is such a wonderful video. It does not matter the type of or cost ,just like you said,it is the memories and the fun times with all of your friends. Also the song is so fitting.Have watched this video several time over.Takes me back in time.!!

  • Good times to come. Great Job!

  • Brother, I have watched this video over 100 times! This is my favorite Youtube video of all! It is good to see that honest work and brother hood is still enjoyed through this madness we all have to live through.

  • Great video!! Love the country living in the back woods.

  • That's how ya do it.

  • Fantastic video, it's amazing what you can put together with a few mates at little cost.

  • Very Nice! We are currently doing the exact same thing with a 32ft trl we got for $500.00. It has good plumbing, shower, stove, sink, good tires, & new roof. The bed rooms are what need new panel & we've already replace a floor. Hopefully it'll come out as nice as yours.

  • nice!

  • It wouldnt be deer camp without the beer and the pissed off wife! Great job.

  • good job guys.

  • Love it! Inspiration for building on my property in Idaho. I rebuilt a floor and fixed leaks and wood stove in my ex's trailer in Montana.

  • nicely done

  • Great job. I had one of those piec of crap deer trailers for several years before getting a fancy new one. Funny thing is, the memories from the old one were far better than from the new. I guess the old one just have a built in character about them that you cant replace. Good job!

  • Thanks. New would be nice, but this one is irreplaceable.

  • People need to more stuff like this and go relax a little....Nice job Mrbigtex. Go look at what we relax in, its not on land but on the river.

  • Thanks.

  • and that right there is what its all about it aint got nothing to do with hunting just having fun and making memories with your family and friends

  • Yes sir! That is correct.

  • Yall sure did one hell of a job!!!!!!!! Super nice. How big is that trailer??

  • 18 foot

  • That's amazing :) It's cool what you can do with simple materials, a few bucks and a few friends. I think I'm gonna look for someone with a broken down trailer and get it from em cheap...

  • Me and Dad started out in a 14 ft trailer in 92, did the same thing you did. After five years we made a mistake, we sold the camper and built a cabin... wasn't the same. RIP Dad---

  • Was that a fire extinguisher along the wall under the table? That will be fun to get to in the dark when your about to burn up.

  • In the dark and about to burn up...a fire extinguisher is last thing I would care about. Getting out would be first.

  • What a great deal for $50!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great - I'm working on one my self with my three sons. (16/14/11)..

Mine is a 1968 Banner Camper....

  • That's great! Give them memories that will last a lifetime.

  • Sweet.

  • i wish i had a dad like you. oh, sure, i love my dad, but i can count how many guy things we ever did on one hand.

  • Man...that is awesome...I remember when my dad and I did the same thing...we thought it was the best thing....i think i slept in that thing in the driveway for a week in my camo. great video and music....
