you sound very good (I am a singer and take voice lessons) try to keep your eyes open and your chin at normal height while you are singing. particularly when you are performing.when you put your chin up it makes it harder to sing and less sound comes out.Although considering you learned this piece the day before you put it up you sounded MUCH better then i did the day after i learned it :). Hey shannon - this is great as usual! I know u always ask for constructive criticism (and i am a singing teacher) i would say that you need to watch your 'lady peaceful/lady happy' sections cause they are in danger of being a little flat - its a danger with long notes with any singer if you dont watch them they can sound like a drone so need to keep them bright but other than that - lovely song!

absolutly brilliant! your good on vocals, but also you feel what you sing, i bet your good on stage, you should do musicals, i mean like theater musicals

All of my videos are 100% LIVE, lol. I don't do lip synching. THAT"S CHEATING!! lmao! If you can't sing the song live, then don't. That's my motto ;) Perhaps the audio quality is throwing you off? I use my camera to record the video and my good mic to record the audio. Then I put it all together. But the audio you're hearing is LIVE from the video you see, it's just from the good mic ;) Thanks for commenting, hun!

one thing I notice is your breathing. when you sing it looks like you aren't using your full lung capacity... If you really think about it. Does your stomach suck in when you breath and your chest fills up?? you want push out your stomach when you breathe. It allows your entire lungs to fill up with air. You'll have a lot of support, especially for higher notes.
Did you pull together the instrumental track on your own or did you find it somewhere? This is definitely one of the better covers I've heard. Epic. :) 2:03 had to be my favorite. :)

Oh, you HAVE to see Cabaret teh next time you get the chance. The movie was OK, but seeing it live is quite something else. Again, your voice fits this very well and you sound quite good! On a couple of thie higher notes, it sounded like you were singing too far "back" (in your throat) versus "outward" but it might be that I didn't watch it in HQ. Still a nice job though! =)
That was beautiful Shannon. Songs like this really fit your voice incredibly. I was so excited the Kristin Chenoweth was on Glee, and that she sang this with Lea Michelle. (I've actually seen them both live, at different times, of course, but they were just amazing together.)

Ok....you are simply an amazing talent. Where do you live and you should be in NYC, at the Duplex (a club in the Village) singing your song...just like Barbara Streisand did. In my life I have heard several singers who give me chills. You are one of them. Amazing. Simply amazing. PS. Lessons? For what? You have the gift already. Shop around that song for an agent and let the world listen to it.

Amazing. I loved 2:30 onward, especially. Although I think too much vibrato at the start.
I think the reason for that is vibrato is very powerful, whilst the beginning of this song is extremely vulnerable. It sends mixed messages.
That's the only 'fault' I could really find. It's not even a fault. Just my thought. This is simply brilliant, what an incredible talent.

Thank you so much, but no actually. I' have never acted in anything before, no prior experience, I'm also a virgin when it comes to vocal lessons. I've never had them. Not that I haven't wanted them, but life, circumstances and location have all played into me not yet taking them. I'm determined to one day. Oh, you HAVE to see Cabaret teh next time you get the chance. The movie was OK, but seeing it live is quite something else. Again, your voice fits this very well and you sound quite good! On a couple of thie higher notes, it sounded like you were singing too far "back" (in your throat) versus "outward" but it might be that I didn't watch it in HQ. Still a nice job though! =)

That was beautiful Shannon. Songs like this really fit your voice incredibly. I was so excited the Kristin Chenoweth was on Glee, and that she sang this with Lea Michelle. (I've actually seen them both live, at different times, of course, but they were just amazing together.)
