Wow, Tarja has had many songs that have been absolutely beautiful, but this one just takes the cake. I've heard a few different versions of Ave Maria, from the Italian to the German, and I have to say that this is by far the best version I have heard so far.  Yes, for those of you that don't believe it, this is Tarja and it is in German.

Rey982, it isn't (and it could not be!!!) a german song. Of course, it is an Italian aria, by Giuseppe Verdi, most famous and by Luigi Cheroubini and other Italian composers. To song by Franz Shuberth, "Ellens dritter Gesang", has used the italian lyrics of Ave Maria and it's something else.

al cantar de musica clásica no se le llama cover, ya que los compositores escribieron las piezas musicales, arias, arieta, leads o romanzas para sierto tipo de voces en este caso el ave maria para soprano. Schubert hizo este lead para que lo cantara cualquier voz de soprano es por ello que no se le llama cover porque Schubert nunca lo interpretó solo lo compuso para cualquier persona.

@kelvyn616 Es que, como te explicaba antes, un cover se le llama a la musica popular, en este caso se habla de musica clásica, lo cual cualquier compositor ha escrito las diferentes arias (o partes de operas) lead (en el caso de algo mas personal como el Ave maria y derivados) y en este caso Schubert escribio la partitura (o la musica del ave maria) para que fuera cantada por cualquier soprano (voz femenina mas aguda en el bel canto como Tarja, renee fleming, etc) por eso no se llaman cover. :D
