  • On my sound card, do I set it to Headphones or 2/2.1 or 5.1???? or does the mixamp just does it by it self??? I got to my sound settings and i see SPDIF Interface do I put that as my default and speakers on ready and the rest disabled??

  • @6psycho9 5.1

  • How do I get the 5.1 surround sound working for pc? My pc support 7.1 but I dont know how to get it working. All my setup is fitted correctly, help please.

  • @Blackcbow Have you tried the button at right for the power button?

  • So you dont need any connection into the green slot?

  • @OptiCinema Nope, your headset sound is going through the optical, and you just need to connect the headset to the mix amp.

  • If I use my PC to power the mixamp through the USB connection, that is where my sound comes from. I would rather take advantage of my PC's optical audio port, but when I connect my TOSlink optical cable, the sound still goes through the USB power cable. If at all possible, I do not want to always have to have my Xbox on to power the mixamp, nor do I want to purchase a battery pack. Help?

  • @iChuckNorris

sound fix- start > control panel> sound > playback > select digital output and click set default.

microphone fix- start > control panel> sound > recording > select microphone (realtek hd audio) adn then click set default.

  • @PUBL1CxEN3MYxD Thanks for your help dude. I really appreciate it.

  • @iChuckNorris did it work?

  • @PUBL1CxEN3MYxD Yeah, I didn't need the mic fix, only the optical toslink cable fix. And yes, it worked. Thanks again.

  • Is there anyway I can connect the Mic without using the Mic Cable?

  • This video helped me very much, thank you

  • Great tutorial for beginners! One suggestion though would be to consider selling an adapter to the TOSLink cable, turning the standard TOSLink male connector into a 3.5mm digital audio male connector. Purely because not all PC's or Laptops have the standard fiber optic port, but have a 3.5 mm optical audio port. Which are exactly the same and use the same cable, but have a different connection port.
