  • Thumbs up if you think this is one of the greatest music videos ever

  • people disliked because they dont know what it means

  • TRUTH GRUNG MUSIC

  • If you didnt know it is national no bully month. This week is no name calling

  • I never knew how disturbing this video was... I like

  • One of the best Pearl Jam songs... And the intensity of Eddie Veder in this music video. Phenomenal

  • I love being the only 15 year old at my school who knows of Pearl Jam.

I get to tell kids of their awesomeness <3 :D

  • @Kayyandheartss fuck off with the 'im 15 year old', go suck a major dick

  • I can have a DarkSide too!!!

  • This has to be one of the best songs to be written. Not much of music has true meanings, such as Jeremy.

  • I would happily trade the entire internet for the nineties.

  • @francistheindividual Uh, maybe not the entire internet. How about the entire mainstream music community.

  • @francistheindividual haha, same here

  • Alucinante siempre serna tan buenos en sus temas...los vengo escuchando desde que tenia unos 14 años....

  • love pearl jam my second concert and they ROCKED IT

  • 3:46 is the best

  • I remember when they actually played this video on MTV instead of the poor excuse they call music today.

  • i was named after this song

  • @dragongamer123 i bet your name is Jeremy

  • @wacnac1 Good guess!

  • @wacnac1 I believe his name is Pearl... Who knows...

  • @WolfangAurus no retard its Jam

  • Censored version. Censorship = Fear.

  • im 14 and i love it :)

  • what a beautiful , moving video and song

  • I wonder how many people realise that this song is about an actual homasice that happened in a Richardson School.

  • Did not realize until now that Carrottop sang the last 2 mins. of this song. but that would certainly fit in with this song

  • Pearl Jam is the best band in the world!

  • I cant stand not listening to this song,I just wana chill listening to it.Its so beautiful

  • To me, just seeing him close his eyes at the end was more effective than the uncut version where you see the gun

  • i miss old music, even though i'm still young. Too bad i wasn't born in 70's or 60's or 50's. JUst because i wasn't born i missed the Beatles,JOhnny Cash and other well known artist like Pink Floyd, and Queen. I would trade any artist just to have old music back.....

  • holy shit at the end at the video it scares me alittle because it seems like he killed himself in front of his class and the kids are covered in blood but the music makes so much sence with the music but it is still an amazing song. LONG LIVE PEARL JAM.

  • @eatsumbanana He did kill himself. That's the story the song tells ("Jeremy spoke in class today").

  • 90's were great, the music was at its peak, tv was still good, even WWF had good wrestlers haha, more women listened to this type of music. man it was great.

  • I loved being a kid in the 90s! The music. The cartoons. Everything was godly in the 90s.

  • @Chikuachan Should of seen the 80s

  • I haven't even born in 1991 and I feel like this song is meant to be listened for every generation.

  • God this songs chorus makes me feel all good inside for some reason :D

  • I watched something about this song on MTV2 i think.... They said the lead singer came up with this song when he read a newspaper, and it said that a little boy brought a gun to school and shot himself....

  • @AmBeRMatThEwS1 Yep. If you watch PJ20 it says the reason's behind a lot of Eddie's song lyrics.

  • @AmBeRMatThEwS1 Yeah it's true, poor kid..

  • @AmBeRMatThEwS1 Oh, god, that is horrible. That's so sad...

  • Comment removed

  • this is when eddie was great his voice is amazing but i watched his tour he just did an his voice is shot an its sad he is one of a kind no one can match his voice

  • @huey0651 i can

  • 0:57 Sexy...

  • Essa música pra mim ér á melhor!

  • @APEXchannel1 thanks to you comment found my new FAV band big love

  • This song is and will always be one of the top songs ever! Music was and meant everything then. Not trying to sound racist but since when did Rap become Iconic..Society made it popular, its garbage..Long live the Rock legends of the 20th Century!

  • why the censored version??? come on guy put the real video

  • MY NAME IS JEREMY!!!!!

  • BEST EVER!

  • FUCK

  • 'btw Best music ever heard with MetallicA ofcourse!

  • look. I like metallica, SoaD, Limp Bizkit so whatever xD. my dad likes this very much! :D so this song was on the radio in the car. my dad turned up the freanking Volume to 100% and he drives 140km/u and was singing as loud as he could!

  • Only 7 million? Kids today have no clue.

  • @Bipatride Well some of us have, like me i'm 14 and i love this song

  • This is such a powerful video. He just walks in at the end, tosses an apple to the teacher and blows his brains out in front of the class. I like how they made the kids like statues, showing their reactions in the moment. Really makes you think about what some people, child or adult, go through in their minds.

  • @Adrian4713 Makes you think how artificial, fake and simple minded people are

  • @8XVV Most people are real, and intelligent. They just get wrapped up in their own formations of opinions based on their own projections of others which are most of the time deceptive illusions. The benefit of the doubt is a phrase people have lost touch with.

  • @Adrian4713 I couldn't agree with you more

  • I was 16 in 1991, my god, it seems like a century ago! but this song is still in my heart. Great that you youngsters still love it...

  • @lollodj i was 11 and loved it then, and still love it now :D

  • @lollodj ... youngsters .... your not 80 and im 23

  • @rancorx we´re all youngsters......Most humans are I´m 35 years of age and will class myself as young until i die

  • @lollodj Same because music is just terrible today...>_> love the 90's

  • @lollodj You are so old

  • @lollodj just kidding

  • @lollodj What do you say about the music transition from your teenage years to now? I like seeing other perspectives. I think 90's was the best decade regarding music, but we still have quality bands, not alternative but Progressive metal which now is better than ever, take Symphony X for example.

  • @lollodj Old person is old.

  • his voice remids me on a singer of S.O.A.D

  • @MrSr777 you mean the singer of S.O.A.D reminds you of the singer of PJ

  • I was born in 2000 but I still love this music

  • @awesomeness3693 Disliked for attention whoring.

  • fucking censure!

  • Comment removed

  • Mais foda que eu já assisti... fico arrepiada sempre!

  • I had no idea this band's name was the great Pearl Jam thanks to my shitty local radio station who rarely states band names or even the titles of songs. It took me years to find this song!

  • *sigh* the 90's were a pritty good part of my childhood :)

  • Saddest song i know.

  • @Maxamisxx Listen to runaway train by soul asylum

  • @Maxamisxx If youtube had not deleted the pearl jam video i uploaded it was the unedited version of this video where it shows the kid putting the gun in his mouth at the end of the video. Mtv had them take it out cause mtv was a bunch of assholes.

  • if i had 1 wish. wished that this song never ended, it just played on and on!

  • Jeremy's smoking yeeeee yeee yeeeeee :D

  • I really think that bullying should be punished - not in the sense that the bully gets a lifted finger but jail time. What is wrong with kids??? What's wrong with their parents??

  • @MyJerica Yeah lets blame the parents again!

  • R.I.P Jeremy

    R.I.P Music

  • such a sad story :(

  • This is the most played song on my iPod. After that? I got Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana), Alive (Pearl Jam), 1979 (Smashing Pumpkins), December (collective Soul), Daughter (Pearl Jam), Lithium (Nirvana, Today (Smashing Pumpkins), and ten some White Stripes, Strokes, and Black Keys songs. Gotta love the 90s.

  • @edbaron95 WTF No Dylan are you mad???

  • @edbaron95 Love Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana! This song is def sad. Some school shootings has occured here in Finland as well. There's no injustice in that as well as in bullying.

  • If any grunge band was gonna survive the 90's im real glad it was Pearl Jam. These guys have an insane amount of talent, and theyre a force to be reckoned with live. This song is a classic. Rock on boys! Also everyone should check out my channel/ videos!! Thanks to those who do

  • As músicas dessa banda são incríveis, espero que os mes filhos e meus netos, possam ouvi-la,pois isso sim é música de qualidade.

  • poor jeremy

  • Really good song, can't get it out of my head xD

  • @demojay987 Hello and welcome to YouTube. I will be your guide for the day. If you would please look to your right side, you will see newfag trolls trying to evolve, and to your left side you can see retards and thumb whores. We apologize for the lack of intelligent beings, but they refuse to stop lurking in the shadows and waste their time with fucktards.

  • @HellRagon I'm a thumb whore! wooooo, and I'm gonna *uck this song with 7,093,457 more thumbs up!! wooo, who wants to join me?

  • @ihodobasa everybody that see's this will be watching in 2012 regardless

  • @ihodobasa i'll be listening to this till the end of the world.

  • its almost painful for me to listen to because i felt like doing the same thing when i was in middle and high school

  • @321rebelman me too man i agree life is cruel to children :(

  • Top cheese.... Eddie Chedder!

  • The end of the vid is truly chilling

Horrific and pretty sad story, but a great dedication.

  • The child draws awesome

  • Don't let die something what is true and come from a natural place ... from inside

  • Where is top comment about his beauty, amazing voice and intensity? Come on, people!

  • Comment removed

  • @cheseecake try it yourself

  • AS POWERFULL AND RELEVANT TODAY AS IT IS TODAY!!!!!!!

  • Jeremy smoke in the class today.

  • I love having been born in '92. My parents played classic rock and 90's grunge since I was in the womb. It's in my freakin' veins, man.

  • @MasteroChieftan true that!

  • @MasteroChieftan Your parents rule, man! :D

  • @MasteroChieftan same except me being born in 93 and bros and sis's played all classic rock

  • Suicide, It is the ONLY answer if you believe it is. Nothing needs to be done, if someone feels the need to kill themselves thats their opinion right? Who are we to take that from them, but if someones picking on you.....shit grow a pair of balls and man the fuck up.

  • @psteelers1288 yeah tell that to someone who has a fucked up life and doesn't like fighting. I get bullied and don't fight back and i wanted to blow my damn brains out but instead i just went to a different school. Jeffrey couldn't even get help from anyone cause they didn't care. so you expect people to man up and fight back when in the real world that makes shit worse.

  • @Supersmashbroskid2 You mean jeremy? Never the less, its still that persons right to blow their brains out. Thats just one less person who cant take a joke, or cant laugh at themselves. Society today just sucks, were fucking ourselves as a planet and as a country. Its pitiful

  • @psteelers1288 If one of your family or some shit offs themselves i will laugh my fucking ass off at you.

  • @psteelers1288 Sometimes it can change a kid to have his nose broken by the one he's picking on. I did that in the sixth grade to the guy who bullied me, the SOB never bothered or laid a hand on me again.

  • @busyhands94 You stood up for yourself, thats what people need to do. Im in the Army and In Afghanistan now...I put up with people picking on me daily because I know how to take a fucking joke. Some people just dont know how to laugh at theirselves

  • @psteelers1288 Well first of all thank you for your service in the Army, I genuinely appreciate that! I think the problem is that they teach kids to be soft and sensitive in school, that could be part of the problem. I was raised to be tough, I was taught at a very young age to stick up for myself and to not be a victim. That was the most valuable lesson my father gave me and it has saved my life before. And that's what I'm going to teach my kids someday (when I have kids)

  • @busyhands94 Thanks for the gratitude, but remember there are plenty of others that have done more than me. At any rate, look at the PVT Chen who commited suicide, he was subjected to excessive push ups, sit ups, and sprints with sandbags. Also he showed up to tower gaurd with out his helmet or water. What was described isnt anything less than a regular "welcome smoking". Smoking is a term used in the military to describe extra PT.

  • @busyhands94 Also he had to low crawl 100 meters through gravel while his peers threw rocks at him. Thats because he showed up to gaurd duty looking like a football bat, that was corrective action. Nothing wrong with any of that, granted the racial slurs were unnecassary but if youre gonna be in the military you gotta expect people to fuck with you.

  • Jeremy Spoke in Class Today?

  • @ocioso252 It's a story of a boy who had killed himself due to neglection and bullying.

  • muito boa esta musica velhos tempos......

  • does he shoot them at the end? anyways great musicvideo

  • @SinappiaSuupielessa nope, he shoots himself

  • @Keeriganify are they happy now :-(

  • @Keeriganify i read this is based on true story

  • Amazing song!!! Epic...

  • wont*

  • Maybe, just sayin' mind you, the greatest band of all time

  • I could not get enough of this song until my 13 year old cousin shot himself last year. Now I thank Pearl Jam for making suicide a topic to be talked about.

  • @abigailsterling08 seriously?

  • @rileydd08 seriously what?

  • @abigailsterling08 oh im so sorry man thats so sad to hear. in sweden suicide is the top reason people from the age 15-45 die, enough said something needs to be done. hope he at last found some peace

  • @Nightcrawlerinsweden thank you, i agree. something does need to be done. i have hope that something will be done.

  • Well, what can i say, Grunge doesnt get any Vedder than this.

  • @Metallicaftwish funny

  • @Metallicaftwish It gets Nivana.

  • @Metallicaftwish "There's always more room for Vedder."

  • Comment removed

  • @Metallicaftwish you fucking said it bro.

  • i love !!!!!!!!!!!!

    wonder:)

  • Funny that "PUMPED UP KICKS" Was a before a

    ad hahaha NICE Job VEZO

  • Verry good this music:D

  • I want to say something that pisses me off, i hate pop (ex. Justin Bieber), but if his fans love his music, let them do, i'm tired of all these Justin Bieber jokes, he is not a bad singer, he is just a big poser. His fans don't know what's real music, they just listen to something because it sounds good, but they can't feel the energy and emotions in the song. The whole rock world (also blues, jazz and rock n roll) are REAL music. Don't forget this !

  • lets not fuk with jeremy guys o.O

  • Is that Antonio Banderas singing?))

  • @RubiroydKagor Ahahha :D

  • @RubiroydKagor No, it's that guy from Silence of the Lambs. " It puts the lotion on it's skin. "

  • @RubiroydKagor LMFAO

  • @RubiroydKagor Antonio Banderas tua bunda

  • @RubiroydKagor No. Antonios not that sexy ;D

  • Hm, I wonder if the band Flyleaf tried to copy Pearl Jam at least in song subject. They both have songs about a teenager in a school related shooting ("Jeremy" and "Cassie"), and they both have song with the word "alive" in the title ("Alive" and "Fully Alive"). Maybe just pure coincidence.
