  • lol thats our sirens alright lol ima post one i have on vid myself

  • I never did like these things.

  • i live in SE florida where we do not have any sirens. we bought a house in downtown tuscumbia a few years ago, we want to move there as soon as we are able. we heard our first siren while on the way to walmart in muscle shoals in july of 2008. it freaked us out, we came strait back home, sounded like an air raid from the movies.

  • That's kind of weird how they have a STH-10 siren amongst all those Whelens.

  • Indiana's NWS only sounds the alert tone on the sirens for some reason.

  • @Coverdillem that might be their policy I know most towns in indiana use the alert tone for tornado warnings but there are towns in southern Indiana that use the attack cycle for tornado warnings

  • @Heyde1979 yea i kinda wasnt sure when i wrote that. i found out that each county's ema was responsible. back then i wasnt sure.

  • @Coverdillem every county has a different policy when it comes to alerting for tornado warnings hey as long the tornado warning is issued you should be ok because if it comes to late well someone will have to answer for not issueing a tornado warning

  • Attack mode covers more frequencies and is easier to hear over ambient noise.

  • i would rather have the attack mode for tornado warnings than alert mode, sounds more ominous!
