Auto racing has already been pussy-whipped into the bullshit nascar we have now, and I feel it is fucking awesome to have races like this.
Let's do this, any gearhead who would absolutely appreciate racecars ripping past their doors everyday should move to Newfoundland, and any of you pussies can take our homes.
You need to do a little research on the Targa, Not any idiot can take a car out there, you have to have certain licenses to do it. Furthermore the locals love the race because it brings business into the community.
Your right teenagers would be convicted of reckless driving- but the race is not the same as going out and doing it on your own.
More automotive events should be like this one, if the world was run by people like you Hillary Clinton would rule, and we would all lead boring lives while we drive around our prius twat mobile at 20kmh.
I wouldn't call the drivers fools, there all professionals, and respected and prominent members of society. No chump or fool can afford to race Targa.

The racers contribute do more good for the communities than bad, like smashing a few fences- no one ever gets hurt, and the racers pay for any damage. It is not like they hold the people hostage, they are invited in to the community, and the event is promoted by the government.
