so how hard is this program to learn? I've been doing alot of 3D modeling and I'm very interested in games, so I'd love to try and make some games of my own.
@Godisen007 The program itself (LE editor) is real easy. But you need some programming skills to make your own game. But there are many starter tutorials if you are new to this.
Yea I like that sort of menu being active and allowing you to walk about, I also like the lighting effects, and of course don't be dis-heartened by users like mystic, every project starts somewhere, heck most of my games look very basic with allot of placeholders till I've nearly finished. Keep focusing on those little things, that make the game play better.
Thanks for your kind answer. Ofcourse not every one will like this kind of game play. Making games is more for the fun that that is for being a box office hit. (Although it would never the less be awesome :D)
setting up a mission tab as you stated is very easy and has been done even by me. so its not really a big deal. and the events that take place should trigger an event so I DONT SEE ANYTHING BIG OR MEW TO ME.
First of: the video is a work in progress. If you can't hear that, too bad for you. second: I am not a programmer, just a code dabbler. To me the mission tab is a big deal because I don't see many other games doing it this way. aslo, that it is easy for you does not mean its easy for others. Also, no events? The video is a showcase, What do you expect when you activate the trigger? A horde of thousand zombies running towards you?For a game designer you are pretty closed minded btw.
I only used Unity ones to see what it was like. I looked really wel but I didn't see the point of changing since I know the art pipeline of Leadwerks. but who knows, I recently went to an to a college open day for game design, where they use Unity. So , perhaps in the future.
looks awesome ,keep up the awesome work! got a concept for a horror game that I'm maybe going to start to work on in some months so this is good inspiration for me as I'm studying game design :) even though I think I'm sticking to the Unreal dev kit (UDK) :)
