I just checked and the book mentioned in this clip was released on March 23, 2004. That means that George was at least 95 years old when this clip was originally recorded. Absolutely amazing accomplishment to be able to sing at all at his age and to sing with such strength and conviction... Wow!

From a neighbor of yours in Asheville who gloried in your voice and the hymn and anthems you sang during those Billy Graham Crusades I attended in the '50's and on your LPs, all of which I gave to my brother.Sometimes I wave your way when I drive through the stone gate at the entrance to the Town of Montreat And my wife and I have a friend who is a neighbor of yours, and who says you are just the dearest man.
