@Ibringthetruth1 a bit more realistic for flash is not a good way to go because Flash Gorden has alway been very cheesy space comic.It never was too serious or you can take stories and make it seem real.He is not Batman where he has comics that are in a real world setting(okey their are fantasy in it to but you can take the fantasy elements out of it and still make it work)

but Flash Gordon true elements are the Sci-fi pulp of the 1940s.
