@PsycoSymatik No way Adagio sounds like Avantasia. I would say Adagio stylistically is related to Symphony X, Dream Theater, and Rhapsody of Fire while sounding distinct enough from those bands. In other words, they have a unique sound.

I really like Adagio, even if some of the lyrics have slightly odd grammar - I'm not sure what nationality the band members are though, so this may be a translation issue. Besides, the subject matter and musicianship is awesome!

to be honest, all the people below me... they can't really be specified into a specific sub-genre. They have both aspects of power and prog. Dragonforce aren't even THAT talented. Compared to a lot of underground metal bands they're pretty average musicians, especially Sam Totman (the white guitarist), and seem to be more interested in making songs that are "catchy" rather than having any depth.
