So much better than they are today; SERJ was the crazy one and daron just stood there playing his guitar. Now serj is too embarrassed to scream even in songs like sugar he sings it all clean today which ruins it.

@fuducker2 - I think he is afraid to scream. His method of screaming before was not entire compatible with the opera singing he does. He has chosen two styles that really cant be done by the same vocalist for long. I wish he would return to the insane screaming and stuff too, instead of trying to croon the teenage girls :)

Do you think if they decided to reunite as an active recording band one day, which John said will probably eventually happen, that he will scream again, since he'll have to concentrate solely on SOAD? i hope at LEAST the studio recordings will have screaming in them.

@fuducker2 - Hard to say, he would have to work at it. I know he can do it, but its just if he wants to or not. Even in the last couple SOAD albums he didnt scream much, so I hope they go back to their roots, but I wouldnt count on it now that he is into the newer style and is rich and famous :) Someone needs to piss him off again so he has a little more aggression :)

@brainphreak But, we all get old(er) at one point. I wish Serj would do what he's doing here as well, but I also wish Ozzy would too (not a strong comparison, but its the point I guess).

@dopemixx - Ozzy may be doing just that, Black Sabbath announced a new studio album for 2012! We will see what happens. There are bands like Slayer who are still going on strong as ever, its really just Serj's choice to go that direction. I respect his decision to do what he loves, but cant stop a man from dreaming :)

@fuducker2 SOAD is still a pretty amazing band live. did you happen to see them on their 2011 tour? I saw them and let me tell ya, they may have changed drastically on stage, but Serj and Darons voices are outstanding together. better than ever!! no video can give the experience you have while you are there in the same room justice. but hell, i would give anything to be at one of those early shows!!!

Aww I'm actually upset that I wasn't born in time to know, like, and be at one of these shows. I was a year old when they did this. I'd kill to be my current age and at this show (is it a bar? lo would a 15 year old be allowed in) even if it meant being 29 now. And if you look at my recent videos, a bunch of them are footage I took on May 22 in chula vista san diego of the soad concert. My first time ever going to CA. For one day. On a weekend during the school year lol.
