This is the kind of music where you just grab yourself a drink, sit down in your comfy chair, and, relax. Its beautiful. Well done, Thomas. Take a bow.
im an accomplished guitarist and cellist-going to get me one of those...is this your composition? thanks for posting--do you have tab for this peice??...and more importantly -where can i buy a guitar like this and how much? is this similar to a dobro?
This is exquisite for lack of a better description. The musicianship, the song, the sound and of course the Tony Francis Wessie. This is one of the top two songs I have ever heard played on a Wessie. It touches the heart and soul. Thank you so much for posting.
This is fantastic playing and very soothing to listen to. I like that is is slow and stays in a dreamy, outer worldly state. The tune down in the middle is genius level.
All? Ben Harper, Jerry Douglas, Greg Leisz, Buddy Emmons, Derek Trucks, Duane Allman. Its an American tradition. This Thomas Oliver guy is a wonderful player however!
@Verv111 take it easy man, just sayin i like the down under pickers. there are good players all over the world. I like the americans too with the execption of ben harper, like his music just don't find him all that talented
@DylanLiane LOL, Your comment on Australian lap steel players is so true.I'm sure you know of Andrew Winton also even though you didn't name him. If you don't, check him out too. :) Cheers.
Awesome song and performance!!!!

I believe it's open Db major. He retunes the high Db to a C (and back) during the song so you get a Dbma7 tuning.
