  • Don't take the Orange Hat!!

  • I am an IIT2 and go by the forum name AmericaStandsStrong. I am 14 years old, and Appleseed is one of the greatest things I have gotten myself into. ANYONE CAN BE A RIFLEMAN.

  • From what I've heard and seen, Appleseed events put a tremendous emphasis on safe firearms handling. The only potential hazard I see here is that a lot of these guys are probably getting hit by hot brass as it ejects from the next man's rifle. If a casing got stuck between a guy's clothing and skin, it could cause mild blistering.

  • I just attended one and it was extremely safe. I recommend everyone attend one. You will learn a lot and its fun.

  • Just HOW does this look unsafe to you? I'm a Range Master, and it looked fine to me!

  • @TangoDown89

You are right, that could be unsafe, that's why we are very careful.

By following a few simple rules we are able to handle our firearms safely.

    1. Always keep the rifle's muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

    2. Do not load until given the "load command".

    3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are on target.

    4. Make sure everyone around you follows these rules.

I applaud your concern for safety and invite you to check us out!
