To criticize her voice after listening to this song, seems kinda pointless, she is clearly not going for the classic "diva" singing style. It's a fucking Tom Waits cover album, (awesome) I doubt she did this with the American Idol audience in mind. Bitch probably listens to a lot of Joanna Newsom. I'm not saying it's amazing, I'm just saying if you let someones singing style ruin the song for you, then you kinda missed the point.

She's not a bad singer, actually. If you listen to the rest of the ensemble and focus on her voice, you'll realize that it's actually all in tune.

It may not be a traditional A-B-C-A pop-routine, but that doesn't make it any less good.
