They are the youngest of the Protestant churches, but yet they think only their views are correct. Baptists and some evangelicals tend to be Christian elitists—either you agree with them 100%, or you are going to Hell. Baptists tend to be followers rather than thinkers. we need more people to help with these ministries to get to more hurting souls..volunteers are short even with 12,000 member church..everyone wants to receive w/few to serve.several missions including afria.we have several inner city hope centers also have people come from everywhere to world harvest bible college..Pastor Parsley is a watch dog in times where it is needed..it seems most people would rather follow oprah then Truth-

Much of Parsley's message is uneducated hate-speach. I, however, support true missionary work. I have good friends in Kenya and China who are much better Christians than Parsley. They give things up for Christ--they don't live in a celebrity lifestyle.

you know i too have seen a lot of things i dont like about churches.i have seen people come against one another and split up, people turn on their own family members over there beliefs.there is a ton of money spent on tv evangelism that could do a lot of good works,,but also through tv and radio people do find the Lord i have seen it.people who are hurting do call in and receive help..over 600,000 calls answered last year at breakthrough with an estimated 500,000 calls that could not be answered

TV and radio isn't necessarily bad--I never said so. Parsley is a celebrity though--masions, jet, books, always wanting to be in the spot light--like Al Sharpton, etc.

No. I don't follow pastors who live in mansions and who fly their own jets. I'm not into TV pastors either. God isn't a fancy show to me. I hate "entertaining" church. I want to study and learn. Parsley doesn't have an academic approach. He force feeds rather than teaches. And, as far as I am concerned, he preaches lies and half-truths.

Rather than give money to the poor or help someone in need he lives in a 5 bedroom mansion and has a jet. I don't trust "Godly" men with jets.

I am moving in the total opposite direction of anything I have seen about World Harvest. Growing up I went to a conservative church where many said Catholics wouldn't be in heaven. I personally never believed much along the church lines, but the people were friendly. I lost all faith in them when the church found out that their former youth pastor was gay. They acted childish. He, more than anyone, brought me closer to God. And, they crucified him--a year after he was gone.

I was actually raised Methodist, then evangelical free for 8 years, then kind of back to Methodist. I honestly don't really like most churches very much anymore, though my Christianity got stronger the more I questioned church practices. Dogma doesn't do it for me. I'm anti demagogue.

It is hard for me to respect much about Parsley. He is just another Westboro Baptist Church.

There are no grey areas? Right. The Bible is full of grey areas. If you see the Bible as 100% black and white, then you know nothing about the Bible. I'm not saying that is the case with you, however.

The sad thing is there's a fringe element of Americans who will see this and agree with Parsley, and don't care if they wreck the global economy in their insane holy war.

I'm voting for the guy most likely to be able to either talk some sense into radicals on both sides, or marginalize them effectively, and it looks like McCain ain't it. For a presidential candidate to fail to rebuke such hatemongering is unforgiveable. If he weren't the R's only hope, he'd be polling at 10% for this.
