I would really appreciate if you could post a video tutorial on how to do this, and other things from your blog. I'm much more a visual learner. When I'm trying to figure something out and I feel pretty lost, even following written directions can be extremely confusing.
Is it necessary to set the shutter to 1/2000 to achieve "butter smooth" slo mo? Not very good quality indoors with it set that high.
I just uploaded a video tutorial explaining how to do this in VirtualDub (too bad it doesn't support hdv-footage, but I'm working on a tutorial for Avidemux).

@sonicclang No time for video tutorial I'm afraid. You don't need 1/2000th shutter speed, but definitely anything better than 1/250 or above.

Agreed the 60p slowdown footage looks the best. Although the blended fields could make for some trippy dream footage =D
