@KhmerD0g Omega Beam won't vaporize them like it does most people but it still hurts like hell. It's one of the few things that can hurt Superman without krytonite or a red sun around.

@bentiX25 That's not true. Superman has often been shown being unable to harm Doomsday propperly. During the Hunter/Prey arc he got his skin pierced and his arm broken by Doomsday. Supes only chance was to remove Doomsday from the battlefield, otherwise he would have died. Once again.

@bentiX25 He can't since, he was actually trying to harm Doomsday, but that version of Doomsday was simply over the top, pwning even Darkseid's best soldiers and Darkseid himself easily (although I think a retcon made it look like it was just an avatar of Darkseid). Still, Doomsday basically humiliated Superman in that fight. Doomsday was created to be the guy who would regulary be able to offer Superman a run for his money.

@bentiX25 The fight from the "Hunter/Prey" arc, which was in the comics, where Doomsday easily killed off one of Darkseids most powerful warriors, who even had Darkseid's respect. Then Doomsday humiliated Darkseid, Superman came to help, got his skin pierced by Doomsday, Supes got his arm broken and his only chance was to remove Doomsday from the battle via tech. That Doomsday version was over the top. Besides that, keep in mind that even Batman could harm Doomsday in this movie.

@futboyz The comic book version of the Superman/Batman storyline revealed that 1) The Kents were safely away from their farm, and 2) It was a set-up by Superman and Batman to fake Supergirl's death so that she could live her life under a low profile. Of course, both the comic book version and the cartoon video version left the "Darkseid possibly knows Superman's secret ID from attacking the Kents' farm" hole. (Rolleyes)

@johnnyk617 Superman and Supergirl have a static-field of energy about their person that helps to protect their clothing in general, Superman's clothing wouldn't be protected because he is wearing his suit underneath, Supergirl was doing no such thing, thus her clothing would remain reasonably intact.
