Great set of vids! I'm slowly learning how to do this myself but my main worry is moisture, and lowering the humidity levels in the house for a healthier life.
This is my favorite series to watch on YouTube right now.
Maybe you've talked about this before, but it would be nice to know a little bit of your background as it relates to home building. You seem very knowledgeable about it all.
Expose the beamage haha, should be a cool feature...you even insulated the floor, yeah that'll be great for noise dampening & maybe thermal advantages also....very annoying when you don't get what you asked for. Our kitchen, bathroom & ensuite laminates were all wrong when we built our house, but worked out in the end. Your really making some rapid progress there : )
The exposed beams will look great! Can't wait to see it. You are doing an awesome Job, and doing it yourself is going to make this place more special. =)
Just finished watching part 3-5. Nice to see you making progress on the house. Hopefully everything is going as planned! Anyways good luck, and looking forward to more interesting videos!
I would have used the closet bottom space and put a in ground safe

The workspace that used to be a closet (where you have your hatch) put a light on the overhang - that would make a perfect computer work area.
I can't get over the fact their electrical code doesn't require a ground on every receptacle.
You have to be careful at this point, if you make too much progress in too little time, Bob Villa's henchmen may pay you a visit.

A jet tub? All I would need is a fridge full of beer and then I swear I'd never leave the house again.
