My heart breaks for Eric everytime Sookie sez she loves Bill. But then if love were easy and simple more ppl would be in it and the divorce rate wouldnt be so high. Eric could (cross my fingers) love Sookie for the rest of his life and tbh THAT is far better than watching Bill work on his "image".

I always though Eric seemed weird after he remembered....I don't think the dialogue was written well. He barely says much...nothing he says is true "eric". That's why when I first saw it I thought that maybe he was pretending to be back or something like that...

@MsFloopdedoop The dialogue was HORRIBLE and the whole remembering thing was so rushed and poorly handled it's unbelievable. There was so much to explore there, and they basically just ignored it. They way he reacted to it is simply implausible, but I could say the same for most of the season... I still don't get what happened to the writers. Were they on drugs??

@MsFloopdedoop I think what many are not getting is that the "real" Eric is a facade. It's just posturing--a self-defense mechanism Eric developed over centuries to survive. He's been pretending to be a fun, sexy badass, but inside he's just a lost little boy who wants to be loved--like all men. Eric can't go back to the way he was. The facade had been stripped. Bill, Sookie, Pam saw his soul. He is no longer satisfied with the vamp he used to be 'cause he was happier w/ Sookie.

@askarsfan2011 'Real' Eric posturing/pretending!? Lost little boy!? That is a bit condescending to men or at least my perception of them and Eric. He is all at the same time, at certain times some features ar more apparent and pratical than others! He is definitely not a little boy...anymore, he was as a child and as a lost adult, but it's not supposed to be upfront, oh my god WHY would anyone think that and even like it!!?? He hopefully is extremly satisfied just the way he is!

I think Eric can accommodate all of himself at once, the vulnerable/innocent sides too, Sookie and the viewers just got to see them litterally, as if necessary, but it was! He thought he was happier with Sookie as amnesia Eric, BUT that was because he was not able to 'see' beond the 'level' he was forced back to! He is himself again (improved ... if possible, if you wish) an and will love Sookie even that much more,from the highest level possible!

@nesabt Eric is changed by his feelings for Sookie. It's just that in the books, this happens gradually as he gets to know her, while on the show it happens so suddenly that it's difficult to reconcile the old Eric, the Amnesia Eric, and the new Eric. I wish TB wouldn't rush these storylines so much. The show has several seasons ahead. There is no need to throw everything at us at once.

@askarsfan2011 I thought a lot about your answer, and maybe because I'm quite 'new' at this, I get a lot overly excited and 'also' kinda 'rush' things, I didn't know about True Blood until a year ago, and in dec. '11 I 'fell in love' with it all (obsessed even) and I've only written comments in a few weeks! So even though I really ... Really want it ALL like now, I see your point and maybe I'm can't be patient yet, but I'll try, even to understand were you all 'book fans' are comming from ;)

@nesabt I also only discovered the show last year. I watched Seasons 1-3 on Amazon Instant Video and fell in love with the show. Then I watched S4 on HBO. Now I'm a die-hard fan. I did read all the books too. The show is really diverging from the books now. I don't know what Alan Ball intends to do in S5.

But what can I say, I'm in love with TB/Eric and I'll just take it any which way I can get it, rushed or not all though come to think of it, I can defend anything at this point, also AB's decisions! Give me 5 minutes and I'm going to make you wish he rushed 'the book' storylines even more ;)

@askarsfan2011 It's so funny because all are so mad at Sookie for being so feebleminded and indecisive, including me, she isn't (she has her reasons), and It would look bad on Eric falling for her ... if she really was!

All want them together, preferably seasons ago, her pregnant already (don't underestimate dna., cloning, tube pregnancy ect.), happy ever after!

But then what ?

Now you don't wanna rush things, but I almost don't care what TB/AB/Eric-Sookie does as long as they do it forever!

@askarsfan2011 Eric was already changing because of Sookie before the amnesia part, he Loved Sookie from the beginning and she was recently gone a year. I don't think he just fell of the face of the earth dreaming of her, but while taking real good lovin' care of Sookie, I mean her House etc. he must have cultivated these feelings for her, he has gradually passed every level and graduated!

We must work a little ourselves here .. as an audience, not everything can or should be carved out in wood!

He is and was all, we just get the different angles to realize that! About the rembering instantly contra over time, I find very clever because then we can't be confused about Eric, he's back and mean what he says, not unsure of what happened and I would not find it cool if Sookie has knowledge of something he hasn't! Loved him neutralizing that 'peace of paper' that set him apart from any 'regular' guy!

Eric wants equality even before she realizes it's a compliment, so so so cool! He won't use his 'weapons' to manipulate her and he doesn't want Sookie 'wanting' to use hers! Sookie doesn't know her best interest, Eric won't risk her getting killed before she finds out. He wants their interaction to be as fair as possible!

Suddenly he can remember everything and he discovers he has been with sookie, something that he never believed possible, but on the other hand she is so cold now. Eric is a badas!. Sookie tried to make him like bill. Gentle and soft. Not hurting people because you can. She should just be with bill. Eric was more funny the way he was. Sookie was attracted to the old eric,but she would never go there. Until he lost his memory. Eric was safe! If he has to be wimpy to be with sookie,then keep them apart! No one should change to make someone else happy. Either sookie accepts Eric for who he is or stay away from each other. I prefer sookie with bill!
