Just watched this,and I gotta say...I don't see why everyone is complaining about how this is so much different than the first Hellsing Anime in terms of art style. Yes it's slightly more "Naruto'd" If you will in terms of sharpness on weapons and character's, but overall, besides Alucard's Jackal, Seras, and Walter, everything else looks very very similar in terms of art style.

Otherwise, this is one of the best english dubs I have ever seen for an anime. It is actually good. Still prefer the Japanese one though, but that is all Seras' fault xD

I love the dub of this because most of the main character voices are very well done(Integra and Alucard) and Hellsing has such an awesome art style that subs would detract attention from. However, any native of the U.K or Ireland will have to sometimes cringe at the very bad, painfully obvivously fake accents of some of the other charcters.

Actually, all these accents are real. Only Pip, Anderson and Rip Van Winkle aren't real, other wise the accents are real, and Pip, Rip Van and Anderson do an EXCELLENT job. Even the side characters have excellent voices that sound real, so really, I don't know what you're talking about. And to Evangelionist... This is one of the BEST dubbed anime OVA's in the history of anime.

As the producers said, this was made to be English, and that's why it's superior to it's Japanese counter-part.

I always think that whenever an anime takes place outside of Japan, say Europe or South America or whatever, the dubs for those places fit them a lot better. it's just natural to hear characters in their native tongue. I think Hellsing sounds great in English and German (and Rip van Winkle sounds so deliciously good in German!)

@Andyp12 it's not actually weird dude, i don't think people really give dubs the credit they deserve. it isn't really easy to make one either, btw this isn't the 90's anymore where they all had questionable quality. dubs have had huge overhauls over the years, pretty much to where where im watching an entire series twice, i must say, im getting the best of both worlds. if you ever get that chance, check out FMA brotherhood, cowboy beebop the list goes on, they have well made dubs.

You can still get episodes 1-3 off ebay for 20 bucks. But I suggest you buy the real thing. Its more rewarding when you buy the R1 release (especially the limited special editions). Episode 4 is coming out next month.

Yes because the anime highly altered the story of the manga to the point where most manga fans pretend it didn't exist. With this OVA however, it follows the manga very well and thus right off the back, you see major differences between the two. One easy difference to notice is just how much crazier the OVA tends to be in its fight scenes and facial expressions. Almost everyone is like a lunatic in the manga and it reflects so in the OVA >_>
