How do you rig up the reverb pedal? I was under the impression that you needed an effects loop to do that? Could you give me (a noob) a quick instructions on how you hooked up your reverb pedal? Thanks for the vid.
The half stack is louder, 100 watt. The tone is much fuller with the half stack, four 12" speakers as opposed to one 10". For bedroom level playing, the AC4 is best IMHO.
Amazing tube sound. I have been thinking of picking this amp for a while. Only question, this amp or the stack ? I'm looking for very bluesy sound. Have a tubescreamer, crybaby wah wah, marshall guvnor. Any suggestions ?
angadmalli: I have the combo with the 10 inch celestion, and its an amazing combo. Nice and clean and bluesy, and crank it for some blues crunch. pick this amp up its great.
I just ordered one of these. Here the Vox- people have a winner. Nice playing ! Your Strat sounds wonderful on this amp. It is great that one now can enjoy the magic tube vox- chime on low levels !! And at a moderate price too. Yes "its getting better all the time"
That sounds really great for such a small little amp, but it sort of sounds like that 57 is clipping quite a bit. Or is that the actual speaker on the amp?
2:40 = FOOT!!!!!! lol nice demo. just got this amp, and am thinking of gettin a tubescreamer for it because its a pretty loud amp for late night apartment practice, and need some sort of volume control
Hey, by British tone you mean Beatles or Marshall? Sorry, I just want to clear this up! A Marshall cranked like Clapton did on Cream is my kinda sound, and so is Jimi Hendrix with Marshall! Can I get this with Vox?? thank you
British tone I"m referring to is the classic clapton blues breaker marshall type tone. There is certainly a big difference between a overdriven Fender amp and a overdriven British amp like Marshall and Vox.
I'm also a Marshall/Fender player. I don't think this amp would be a wrong choice, specially if you want that classic british sound at a great price. I like it better than the Champ 600 as you have much more control on the tube distortion and tone by using the OP control. Check it out side by side with the champ 600 at your local music store. I did just that, and I ended up with the AC4TV.
This is the only demo of the AC4TV that I have liked. Cheers mate, great playing and great vid!

If you point the mic a bit further out from the centre of the speaker it wont sound so harsh, a bit rounder.
nice playing though

@drewfasa guitar -> reverb in -> reverb out -> amp.... if you don't have an effect loop, just plug your guitar right into a line of pedals...

@theghost2987 for green day and blink 182, just get a boss ds-1 and any amp will do.....

Amazingly abrasive recording. It might just so happen to sound good live, but this video just sounds horrible.

Is that a Fender Blues Junior next to the Vox?
How does the Vox keep up volume wise with the Fender?
I am thinking about running these two stereo, the blues junior 'clean' and the vox cranked but I'm not sure if 4W is enough

whats the advantage with the half stack? Does it make it louder?

Its the Shure SM57 that is clipping. I didn't set the mic level properly.
gmlasam 2 years ago
@gmlasam it's not the mic clipping but the level set too high. ;)

@gmlasam hey could i ask you a question about your recording since its clearly with a mic, camera, and a pro-tools kind of software....?

Wow man, you play really well!! Awesome demo1!
Do you think that this amp for a Marshall/Fender kinda guy is the wrong choice? It looks soooo much better than the small Fender Champ 600
Thank you
