@rmsproductions33 Depends on how tightly the wad of rubber bands in the center are compressed. You are correct though, in the center is a ball of foil roughly 1.5-2" in diameter. I was 10 when I started it so my memory is hazy.

I made this like 5 years ago.

I actually took tin foil and compacted it into a very small round ball with the diameter of a quarter. I then started doubling up really small rubber bands and putting them around the tinfoil ball. As it got bigger I used regular sized rubber bands and increased size as it got bigger. It took a long time and I used thousands and thousands of rubber bands. . .lol 25 pounds worth.

I did not link them together, I just found BIG rubber bands, but I suppose if it got big enough or if you only used regular sized rubber bands then you would have to link them together.

When I had made mine I got the rubber bands from office max. If you can't find any I would suggest looking online. You can just about buy anything off the internet.

I used a lot of those red rubber bands (hence the red color) and those may weigh more that your rubber bands.
