i built mine off a cliff.... getting the hydrating pipes are gonna be a pain

but, it's a automatic wheat farm, so, can't it also automatically plant the seeds also? maybe a stupid question ;$ i'm not very good at MC :P

You said the second field has to be shorter then 8 blocks but you went and added a cobblestone block at the end so it stops there, water only travels 8 blocks and then stops. Plus does this work for 1.1 because your water is always straight at the end, mine goes in and out

@JamesonLB by second field, I ment the upper one, which indeed is shorter than 8 blocks. About the 1.1 compatibility, yes, it is compatible, you perhaps made something wrong :S Copy the design to single last block, there are things that seemingly have no effect, but are crucial for the farm to work. You can always PM me screens/map and I will take a look :)

@GuysGameSquad Nope, you get the seeds from the farm, this video is just kind of old, wheat destroyed by water drops seeds since 1.6 :)

Mine turns on and the water comes but when I try to turn it off it won't stop the water and I have to go up top and put the two dirt blocks again I think it's something to due with the redstone. Help

I have a slight problem with this, when I make it, it all works fine, the water splits fully and harvests all the crops...apart from the corners at the end furthest from the big water splitter thing, I'm not sure if it's something I've done wrong, with the bottom splitter, help?

Do you have 3 water holes, or do you only have 2 in the center? That would cause your problem :D

@Toommm11 waaait a second, is the cobblestone end importaint? like...does it have to be cobble-dirt-dirt-dirt-dirt-dir­t-dirt-dirt? (from front to back) because mine's set out slightly different to yours, where you go up a level with 2 cobble, I just have 1 cobble and then a dirt block ontop so I have 8 rows of wheat instead of the 7 I would get with the cobble row

@tjhall1000 Wow, now that is a question. I don't think that would be possible in this model... All I can think of, is that the water source would be released by pistons closer and closer to the edge of the field, pushing all the wheat in front of it. Sounds like an interesting idea, I will try it, and send you the result! I will maybe make a video about it. Should I PM you with result? Will take few days, I don't have really much time to play these days... Will require crazy redstone wiring.

@iMac3840 To plant seeds on dirt, you have to use Hoe on it :) Just take a hoe in your hand and right-click dirt.
