All of this should be done with a stable foundation to your practice, at least know the basics of what you are doing, those are your stepping stones. Know why you are doing what your are doing, before you go ahead and do it.

your magick is based off of you, it starts with you and ends with you, and the books are merely there for inspiration. They're good to start off with, but after a while, its okay to come up with your own patterns, add a bit of this, take away a bit of that. It has to feel right to you, deep down you know what feels right (which changes and grows as well as you develop), and you just have to keep on searching, writing, and brainstorming, until it is clear.
Finally, the rituals, and the procedures, and the compass treading, and circle casting, and purifying the ritual space are all used to enhance your magic, find out what works for you and in what format/formats. When you really find the procedure you feel comfortable with, it will flow effortlessly everytime you perform spellwork, and you won't have to force yourself to make it feel smooth. After all, a spell at its simplest form is just intent+Chant+Symbolic action=manifestation of one's desire
For some witches the correspondances are very simple, a heart shaped leaf for a love spell, green clovers for wealth, river to take away troubles and purify the heart. And for some ti can be complicated, it just depends on what works for the witch, and that can even change during different stages in their practice. The best thing to do is just explore, and experiment, and try things out. Spellcraft is a craft after all, and with any craft, practice makes perfect.

If for instance, I was on a bus, and I realized that I might be late to the place I am going, or if we were in a really bad traffic jam, I would cast a spell to speed the journey, or make it more smooth and disperse the traffic jam.
I would give a lot to be able to sit down and chat with you about Witchcraft. I study theology and Witchcraft has stuck out to me. That said I can't blindly follow it. Amazing vid :D
I love your video, but let me point somethings out, I too dislike a lot of Christopher Penczaks wiccan teachings (btw, I don't believe you are a Wiccan, but more of a Pagan because Pagans aren't fluffy bunny, they believe in sitting down and doing a spell and being serious, theres no short cut, so I agree with you there 100%, but that makes you Pagan, not Wiccan) The comment about the lottery was a little off to me, why would anyone ask to cheat the system? Fair is fair. I too dont rely on Karma

I agree with you 100%, living down under and not having all the herbs available does call for been more creative at times, and my Scott Cunningham books are the most special books on my book shelve, I am constantly referring to them for one thing or another, =) BB (0)
I agree... there are times that binding another from their hurtful actions is simply needed. I've talked plenty with my brothers and sisters through the years in the covens about this subject. We do agree that there are times that taking some actions against the will of another, who is acting badly may be necessary for the greater good. It's still understood that there may be some kind of an energy return, but that is considered and weighed.
As an Empath I can sense people's hidden shadow side. I can feel it. :) It's part of the curse. Especially when you sense a really dark shadow within someone who everyone thinks is great and has this fun and sunshine front. :) (Not talking about you there! LOL) It's kind of why, even though I am extroverted, I have to stay away from people to be sane.

We do agree that there are times that taking some actions against the will of another, who is acting badly may be necessary for the greater good.
