  • Got the same noise coming from my 04. Will check the oil filter for chips today. Which bearing was bad on yours?

  • It was a roller bearing. Look for metal shavings in the oil filter. Ford replaced the short block.

  • That does not sound good at all. It could be just a pulley about to let go, or maybe more serious??? Like bearing out on the bottom end. Is this truck chipped, you didn't provide any info, mileage, etc...
