  • My second question - I saw Nina jumping around and talking loud in the house (If you guys are living in Tokyo, I'm guessing you guys live in an apartment?) Do you guys live in an apartment with excellenet sound proof walls or live in a house? First floor? How do you manage the sound that she makes?

  • @ylfriends No, we live on the 10th floor. The floors are pretty good, but we still try not to let Nina jump around too much, and only during the daytime.

  • I love seeing your videos because they make me happy and it inspires me to want to have a family like yours in the future. I have two questions for you - I've noticed that you mostly do this type of activities during the day time or I'm guessing early evening - how do you find time to spend with Nina? I'm surprised especially because I see the three of you spending time a lot together, and you two give her an undivided attention.

  • @ylfriends This video was made during my summer vacation. Also, we usually do stuff together on the weekend as a family. I spend almost all of my free time with my family, and I'm lucky to have a lot of vacation days as a teacher!

  • That's the same stuff they make mochi out of, right? :)

  • @Dax893 ha ha You're joking, right? Don't go eating slime!

  • @emmapasaribu Yes, she is definitely elongating.

  • that's so cool! where did u get the recipe for that slime? I wanna try doing that too with my nephews...

  • @brandy102668 If you Google "recipe for slime" you can find a lot of sites. If you can get the ingredients (here we got them at the drug store) it isn't that hard to make.

  • yeah right.. i can find lots of recipes for slime but not all is as good as that one u made...

  • @brandy102668 My wife found a Japanese site. The main ingredients were borax, that liquid laundry starch stuff, and water paint for the color.

  • Haha...still so cute :) How old is nina now?

  • @shataj777 She will be six in August.

  • @ravenabstraction Yes, she will start elementary school from next April. And, thanks!

  • are you and nina's mother together?? jw because you said "nina's mother found the recipe", not my wife

  • @TinyPandaBunny ha ha Yes, we are still together. We just get so used to seeing life through Nina's eyes, that we often refer to each other as Mama and Papa.

  • @grobania Thanks! And, all the best to you for when you become a parent yourself one day!

  • hahaha funny daddy... and funny face expression of Nina. cute a lot

  • slime series ...very creative work ! How much time it takes you for editing ??

  • @latinopapita This one didn't take too long to edit, actually. There were only a few subtitles, and I didn't have to cut up the scenes very much.

  • hahaha at the end lol

  • HAPPY NEWS #3: NEW NINA VIDEO :)

  • I once tried to make this as a child, but my aunty gave me boric acid (which she used to kill roaches) instead of Borax. It was toxic, lumpy, and not nearly as much fun as the real deal =[

PS Who knew you were so ripped, Papa? o_O

  • @bradr14 You could probably market that ("Toxic Slime!") to junior high school age kids, but you might run into problems with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

  • Nina got a new hairstyle, hasn't she? ^_^

The end of a video just killed me.

What actually is that thing? I have never seen or heard about such slime... O.o

  • @GazeCarsa It became popular in toy stores 20 or 30 years ago. It's just goop that is fun to play with, and appeals especially to young boys or old guys like me. ha ha

  • mama and nina got a new haircut?? they look different.hhehhe

  • @Cocobi2604 We've all gone short for the summer.

  • I miss Nina with long hair, too, but Nina and Mama like to keep it short these days.

  • Seeing this on Canada's Father's Day. Happy Father's Day Geof. Your an awesome Dad for Nina-chan!. Keep it up. And.......um.cool slime. Erk..eww. Still cool, but eww. lol

  • @JJNeepinFilms Thanks a lot!

  • Geof, oh my God, can you please give us your workout routine? And do you use a public gym in Japan? Do they have public gyms in Japan?

Anyway, I know this channel is specifically for Nina, but if there's any advice you could give us guys, please do! I'm a young, male college student who is definitely not overweight, but needs to lose weight in the stomach area, and gain muscle everywhere else (upper body). If you have spare time, please pass along your insane results! :-) Love the video btw!

  • @tsukael Yeah, they do have public gyms in Japan that are cheap, but their business hours are hard to match with my schedule, so I mostly do body weight exercises, like push-ups, dips, pull-ups...etc. that I can do in the park or at school. I also ride my bike to work everyday, shoot baskets in the gym at my school, and pick up Nina a lot. I'm not too strict about my routine, but try to do something every day (usually in the early morning). Just stick with it, and find excercises you enjoy!

  • @geofg Thank you for the response! I'm definitely going to give your suggestions a try!

One more question if you don't mind - what's your diet like? I take it you rarely eat Japanese sweets, huh? Though I know they are usually less sweet than American's. You probably eat them in moderation, and small portions?

  • @tsukael I don't really worry about calories too much, and I eat as much as I want. Genetically, I tend to be thin anyway, but it's true that I run leaner living in Japan and eating my wife's cooking than I did in the U.S. We eat ice cream, cookies etc. sometimes, but not too much, and we never drink sugar drinks like coke. I heard somewhere that the number one source of calories in the U.S. comes from soft drinks. That's a scary thought.

  • @geofg You've really inspired/motivated me. I've loved your videos with Momma & Nina for a long time now, and now not only will you help my Japanese, you also help motivate me to get back into shape! Thank you so much, Geof! Fortunately I've cut out my sugar drinks except on rare occasions, like once or twice a month - hopefully I can cut that down even further. Just need to get the sweets like ice cream, cookies, and choco, choco, choco out of my system. I'm terrible with those. Thanks again!

  • Nina's look at 3:24 is priceless.

  • As i should be ready for my final exam, im stuck with nina's video.. >.<

  • Gak!! I used to make Gak all the time when I was young. :) I need to make it again. <3

  • @BlackLightRainbow Is Gak the same thing? Or is Gak made with corn starch?

  • @geofg I remember gak being made with all the same ingredients you showed. :) We always made ours green.

  • Lucky kid.

Kids have a way of putting you in your place. Mom makes the pepper, and dad can do something easy, like a potato.

Childlike honesty is only acceptable in kids. It can be quite painful

That looked like so much fun.

  • @zoodensha Yes, Nina was brutally honest in her assessment of my vegetable molding skills. *sigh*

  • ooohhhh....that slime looked liked so much fun, I remember playing with it as a kid but never stretched it out like that, it was huge!!! Nina has such an imagination and her English is fantastic! :)

  • @krispix79 Yeah, I never stretched it out like that as a kid, either. I wonder if the store bought stuff had a different texture?

  • 0:26 cuteness overkill

  • nina's face at the end there was priceless.

  • Can you give us the link to the website for the slime recipe?

  • @cimkz I'll ask my wife if she remembers it.

  • Comment removed

  • I just want to RUN though that slime. ^_^

  • @XxPuddingFaceXx That would make a good video.

  • My dad used to do that same sneeze joke all the time with clear noodles! ;)

  • @DeGKyofangirl Your dad sounds like a funny guy!

  • haha the look on her face when you "sneezed" that out was hilarious

  • Happy Father's Day! Haha That was cute, I love her voice it's cute! The part where you sneezed she was like "O.O what the...??"

  • haha, i remember making slime when I was a kid!! But I never got to stretch it out like that, looks like all of you had lots of fun xD

  • @misschelz1 Yeah, I had it as a kid, too, but never tried stretching it out, either. It's amazing how stretchy it is.

  • Daddy should have a fitness channel, you've got a lean body there!

  • @iamgoddard Thanks!

  • Cooking with Nina :D haha that would be cool xD

  • I had the fluo slime glowing in the dark version! In fact not being my parents remotely as crafty as Ms. Geofg and you, it came in a a pot with a bow under the Christmas tree paired with a monster to pour it into, then you were pushing the monster's head down and the slime was suddenly everywhere. We had a memorable Christmas lunch that year.

P.S. You gotta love the "For real??" look Nina gave your wife after the snot thing LOL smart kid....

  • @elena1826 I remember the slime monster thing! My friend had one.

  • That looks like so much fun! I might even try it out one day.

Have you tried making slime with corn flour? It's pretty awesome. :)

  • @AppleSauceTrauma We've played with corn starch and water. It makes a really interesting texture, eh.

  • Can Nina's mom link us with the website where she found the recipe?

I'd like to try that for the kids i babysit :)
