  • im considering to get some bonding done because my teeth at the front are just like the ones from the first picture of your patient.. how much do you think it will cost to fix my pointy teeth ?

  • Thank you for that informative video….Keep it coming…

  • hi i have a space in my front teeth and i was wondering if i get it filled in will it make my front teeth look big and wide please answer i need some help!

    thank you

  • how long does bonding last? i 'll like to do some bonding on my front teeth but the dentists recomentd crowns. i dont want crowns because they look to fake and my theeth are on good health is just the shape that i want to change.

  • Well, If bonding is indicated in your case, you can expect many years of use. There is no magic number. Insurance companies pay after five years. If you want the best looking longest lasting results consider porcelain veneers. Ultimately, your dentist needs to recommend what he(she) considers the most appropriate treatment for you. All porcelain crowns or veneers done well are extremely natural looking. Good luck.

  • You are correct. We always explain this before bonding. The newer composites are less likely to stain or discolor. This is more likely to happen in smokers, cofee and tea drinkers, etc... Also it is more likely to chip and deteriorate over time than a porcelain restoration, but some patients prefer it due to the cost, which is around a couple of hundred dollars instead of more than a thousand for buildup and a porcelain crown.

  • Good video. Good point to show your work and to note that. I've asked more than one dentist to see a portfolio of their work, and have been told they can't find it, they can't show it do to privacy laws, etc. I don't want to have a dentist do cosmetic bonding work without seeing what they've done and how good they are, esp. when it involves a good degree of artistry.

  • Thank you for your comment. That is precisely the reason why I did this presentation.

  • @themouthman Hi Dr. Carlos - do you know if family dentists do this type of procedure? Also, is it billed as a filling or is it billed differently? Thank you!

  • @SROD12321

    Hi!

All bonding procedures are different and will have a procedure code associated with it.

Remember bonding is a technique, but people use it to name the work (a filling, a veneer, etc...)

The procedure code determines whether it is a filling or something else.

    Thanks,
