The funny thing about paintball(and this is just my opinion based on my limited experience) is that the paintball community is not near as accepting, practical, or really straight up nice to green players as the Airsoft commune is. I've never had a bad experience with airsoft, and I encourage new players to find someone you know and go out and have fun.

The prevailing argument for high caps is that a spherical ball isn't as accurate as a bullet. Combine that with twigs and bushes bullshitting your shots, you kind of need a large volume of fire.

I use midcaps almost exclusively since I play the dm role. Save for that one highcap I have just in case. Problem? Midcaps have never been as reliable, from bioshot and bioval to madbull .4s. Ive never fully trusted my midcaps.

@TheSlashermasher hy, I'm a beginner too and to the games I participated in you either had to pay attention before the game since teams were set up randomly. But in other games you had to wear a piece of coloured cloth depending on wich team you were in.

@jjolder well, yes and no, paintball is quite expensive but when it comes to airsoft, if your a pro then you need to have guns, ammo, magz, sights and other things and those items each (excluding mags and ammo) are around $150(sights)-$500 and even $1000 for the people who like expensive guns like rpks and snipers

@mrmaster237 Wait for savings. Right now evike has a 15% sale coupon which can be obtainable when you like their facebook page. Also if you're just starting out, just get the bear necessities; Mask, gloves, gun, ammo. If you have more money to spend, invest in a molle vest. These are the most compatible because you can install other molle pouches. You can find a Molle vest with 8 pouches for 80 dollars on Airsoftpost. Also a quality battery and charger are recommended.

To clear up any confusion. Chaplains sight is at 45 degrees, it is NOT crooked. He finds it helpful to see though his mask. Tactically sound and smart in my opinion.

@monterrawr well irish was on the team, but not any more. and then we have some friends who played with us a lot when we first got into airsoft, but not as much now (you can see some of them in our earlier videos at code red etc). a couple guys moved away so they dont play with us any more. so theres kind of an "official" team and an "unofficial" team with some of our friends on it. the "official" team that we will use for the 5 man games in the ACA will be me, squid, gulk, chaplain and ranger.

I'm glad you guys know how hicaps are supposed to work. Most of them are designed to be wound-up completely beforehand, making sure you don't have to wind until all 400+ rounds are gone. That being said, I still use midcaps where I play lol.
