It sounds like there's a distinctive growling deep resonance in there... is this just the recording / my poor speakers, or is it an actual quality of the uke? It's particularly noticeable at about 0:19 - 0:21, and 0:44.
I was looking for the tabs for this but I wasn't able to find them yet. So would it be possible you provide me with the tabs or point me to where I can get them from?
nice work. for those wondering how to fit one, after looking into resos prety in depth recently id say... cut the hole so that the can fits in side it but the lip on the can does not, and the other end of the can sits against the back board of the uke (make the cut at the other end nice and straight this can now supports your strings/bridge) holes are drilled in the side of the can to alow sound out into the body of uke and out. fit a floating bridge and restring...am i close ackiem?
Have you made any banjo Ukes. I made one from a tunable handdrum and a uke neck I bought online.

I need to know how you made that. I have a ukulele I made from a kit that didn't turn out that I'd like to use to make one of those, if I can.

Looks and sounds great. You should really make a video showing how you made it, what kind of materials you used, eta.

This is very cool!
Can you tell/show us how you made it?
shas1814 3 years ago
Step 1- You cut a hole in your uke
Step 2- You put a can in your uke
Step 3- Then you play your uke
That's the way we roll!!!
ackeim 3 years ago 4
Well, that was succinct :=)
May I ask a detail or two?
Is the can attached/glued in place
or is it a loose fit so as to vibrate freely?
Is the depth of the can important?
Thanks for the advice, I think it sounds great.
Ie, should it reach/not reach the back of the uke?
shas1814 3 years ago
it really does sound great.
i think a little 'how to' post would be ever so nice...
