  • I'm trying to get that old 70s overdrive tone, would you say its good for that.

  • @TheMetaldude32 Excellent!

    Enjoy

  • Is the workhorse stallion 1x12 discontinued? If so what was the reason/s for doing so seemed like that amp would be a great compliment to lots of styles of music.

  • Is this overdrive the same as the one in the Jekyll and Hyde?

  • @mrcooldollars Yes it is...

  • I have the first Route66 pedal that has only bass boost switch.

Can I make the same sound that Compressor`s Tone control off??

  • Can i plug it in on a bass?

  • you can use the comp and the OD at the same time yeh?

  • am i the only one that noticed there is no input or output cable?

  • That hard crisp crunch is might tasty. I own one of these an it is awesome.

  • HEY VS ... I want to ask if i could use the drive side as a booster .I have a distortion pedal and i want to add some dynamics and harmonics to it ,would it be suitable for the job ? if not what would u recommend?

  • I've noticed my R66V2 doesn't have chrome knobs as pictured on this video, mine have a plastic/rubbery texture and look to them. Did you ever design them with these knobs?

  • They originally had the ones in the pictures... over time we realized that, though they looked good, they weren't very practical. On stage, under intense lighting, they were hard to read. So, all the newer ones have the newly designed knobs, which eventually will be on all the V2 and GarageTone pedals.

    Thanks for writing...

  • does route 66 stack well with other overdrives?

  • Thanks for the question... The answer is YES! It is a very flexible pedal!

    Thanks...

    VS

  • Is it just the same as the older version without the fancy knobs?

  • whats the difference between this compressor and the VINTAGE route 66 compressor???

  • Thanks for you question. The Compressor in the Route 66 and the stand alone Comp 66 are identical.

  • @VisualSoundUSA Just the question I wanted answering :D

I#'ll be sure to pick this up ASAP

  • what amps are being used in the demo's if you don't mind?

  • @gus5985 It's probably one of their own amps.

  • These demos were done with the Workhorse Stallion.

    Thanks...

  • Is the overdrive of this pedal the same one as that of the Jekyll & Hyde?

  • Yes Rob, it is...

    Visual Sound

  • woah, that blue led is damn bright.

i guess it's better than a tubescreamer led though, at least you can see it.

  • I fell in love with the Open Road overdrive. This one sounds great too. Is it the same circuit? Should I go for the open Road and Comp 66? Your pedals kick ass by the way. ;)

  • If you bother to watch the really cool shootouts with a room full of voters, you will see this OD outdo all comers and the compressor is better than a Keeley. The demo compressor should have been turned up a little as its tone is better. And really an 808, this is better than any TubeScreamer mod and original, watch the vid, actually the best thing on YouTube I have seen with guitar gear. Visual Sound is the best, try them and see.

  • whats the difference between this one and the flat one? thanks

  • ciao. volevo chiederti, quando arrivi a 1:55 min del video che effetti stai usando ? ? ? quel suono è bellissimo !!!

Hello. I wanted to ask you, when you arrive at 1:55 min of the video effects are you using? ? ? the sound is beautiful!

  • Sounds like the demo Strat compressed through the OD...this combination really pushes a strat, the Double Trouble and Jekyl & Hyde are my favs.

  • The route 66

  • fender amp?

  • No... this was a Visual Sound Workhorse Stallion.

  • same as matt followills

  • This is the same pedal Matt has been using for the last 7 years.

  • @VisualSoundUSA Matt uses the ''flat'' version.. the American Overdrive. or is it the same?

  • It is the same only the flat top version.

  • have you guys experienced an increazse in sales of these thanks to matt?

  • @VisualSoundUSA I suppose this is like an old tech21 comptortion yeah? Btw, will you make the archtop version of this pedal?

  • If I had enough money and wanted just a compressor, I'd go for one of those Keeley Compressors, but this Route 66 pedal still sounds great--and it's cheaper than the Keeley Comp!

  • It's supposed to be like ts-808 "but with a Bass Boost switch and far more output volume than the original" - as the manual says.

  • Sounds like the same guy who does the T-Rex demos. Best compressor I've ever heard. Not sure about the overdrive. Which TS is it supposed to clone?

  • 808 :)
