Let's Think nokia n900 can multitask without hacking or a third party program. Iphone voids your warranty hacking and you brake the law. Cydia may be open source that doesn't mean the iphone is open. You obviously don't know open developement is. When you jailbrake you still have to get your apps from cydia so it isn't truly open.

Well yeah it really isn't hacking because it is nothing more than 3rd party software. The real difference with the n900 is there is no security system to brake in case there are missing features, you still have to break into the iPhone. I really don't mms and I prefer landscape mode.
largest down't mean its not crap on OS. yes it does have good things but i only have been encountering bad things about nokia apart from 3210,8210,5110.... as they get more expensive you get more errors just like you are paying so much money to get those errors.
try GSM only, not 3G if ur not online, this will help preserve battery life,I did that it gives me almost 24 hrs of regular calls and messaging. Go to settings then Phone, scroll down to network and choose GSM between 3 options dual 3G and gsm...hope this helps

here's two points to understand as why Nokia eats apple.
1. jailbreaking an Iphone voids your warranty.
2. there is an expanding list of carriers that will cancel your contract upon finding out you've jail broken it, as they put a clause into your contract.

Maemo is more advanced then you could imagine, and its all held up by the Linux kernel.

b) I have both the iphone & the n900. Aimed at 2 very different markets.
If u know what ur doing, apart from games you wont miss most app's since the browser is desktop grade.
+ there are new app's in the repositories everyday.

largest down't mean its not crap on OS. yes it does have good things but i only have been encountering bad things about nokia apart from 3210,8210,5110.... as they get more expensive you get more errors just like you are paying so much money to get those errors.

try GSM only, not 3G if ur not online, this will help preserve battery life,I did that it gives me almost 24 hrs of regular calls and messaging. Go to settings then Phone, scroll down to network and choose GSM between 3 options dual 3G and gsm...hope this helps

Dude jobs doesn't want you to have flash because he doesn't want to offer a standard browsing experience, THIS IS A BAD THING because web developers have to change there websites because the iphone doesn't have flash, java, silverlight, or html5 so that developers who want rich web content have to change the code of there website just for the iPhone.

here's two points to understand as why Nokia eats apple.
1. jailbreaking an Iphone voids your warranty.
2. there is an expanding list of carriers that will cancel your contract upon finding out you've jail broken it, as they put a clause into your contract.
You dont need to Jailbreak an N900, Nokia is realising people want freedom and are giving them exactly that.
If you like being spoon fed by Apple that's cool but I like to do whatever I want, on my phone.

Also you forgot to note jailbraking is illegal because you brake the dmca. What illegal, yes it is illega because you are braking a protection barrier. You also brake the iPhone eula again your braking law. People try to say jailbraking is ok when they don't realize they lose there warranty, brake the law, and possibly brick there device.

Oh please when you need to hack device to make better then you know it sucks. Idon't want an iphone because it treats its users like criminals. Besides the iphone 3gs lacks a lot of basic features and personally I prefer a physical keyboard there is mare room on the screen to see and its just a personal prefrence

well you can get 2, 4, 5, and 6 by jailbreaking which takes 30 sec :) suck it dr0id, and u have to hack ur droid and get root access for the complete themes
