  • Was this before Orbison had to use sunglasses all the time?

  • That is best from category on country music. So on sayubu. Thank for Your posting. Many greetings from Serbia, a nice day from Zoltan! :))

  • I wish these actors went on tour and brought real music back to America!

  • Damn, that voice.

    ME GUSTA.

I like this version a little bit mire than roy orbison's version. Sorry to say, but that's my opinion.

  • @MadGraveRobber maybe there are parts of this that are better than Roy's original version, but still Roy's Version is my favorite.

  • yes i was on tosh.0 thats like my faveorite tv show jewalls4445you

  • @Jewalls4445you were on tosh point O

  • He look like Roy Orbison, but he doesn't really sound like him, he sings to deep, but a fantastic movie!!

  • @TheHF he doesnt sound like him, indeed. for the best i dislike orbison his voice this guy is much eayer to lissen to. i like this one the most.

  • johnny cash rocks kid i love ur name anyways this is a really great song

  • does anyone know where i can get tabs for this song?

  • This whole scene wasn't in the film was it? o.o

  • Roy Orbison wore shades though...this looks more like Buddy Holly!

  • @JackRabbitSlim actually Roy didnt start wearing sunglasses till the 60s he lost his clear glasses on his private plane and he couldnt see without them and the only glasses he had were his prescription sunglasses

  • actually originally done by johnny cash

  • why does this guy think hes buddy holly when hes supposed to be playing THE BIG O

  • IS THERE A WAY TO SEE ALL OF THE FULL VIDEO FROM WALK THE LINE , wihtout the inturuption of clips and stuff

  • He does an awesome cover

  • This is so badass.

  • This is rock an roll!

  • Rockabilly!

  • One thing, Roy never used a Les Paul. He always used ES-335, or some archtops.. :)

  • Only a small portion of this scene was actually in the film (Walk the Line). Where did you get the full clip? Just wondering. I'm glad you posted it.

  • did not do justice to roy orbison. :(

  • When I saw this movie I liked this version but then I heard Orbison's version and I liked it much better.

  • Johny Cash originally wrote this because in the movie Joaquin Phoenix says "Hey baby, listen to this Orbison turned our song into a two step!" I kidna coppied this. But joaquin phoenix is sooo hot.

  • I'm disturbed by how hot JR is.

  • @RileyRooTube Who is JR? I loved his version from walk the line and he is one of the reasons I bought the album from the movie. Is he a musician?

  • @TheFletch827 I'm guessing Jonathan RIce

  • @sakewon Oh yeah I know his name, I have the walk the line album. But I didn't know he was a musician.

  • @TheFletch827 Oh alright, I get you. No idea what he does. Wiki might have the answer though. Ha.

  • @TheFletch827 Yeah, Johnathan Rice. His current project is Jenny and Johnny, a side project with his lady friend Jenny Lewis. It's solid, check it out.

  • Unf, Johanthan.

  • Yeah. Joaquin Phoenix (Johnny Cash in case you haven't seen it) even says in the movie, "Hey Baby! Did you hear? Orbison turned our song into a two-step!"

Johnny Cash wrote it AND recorded it first.

  • I dedicate this to my sweet baby Kacie with the long black curly hair!

  • So hot.

  • great voice

  • Roy Orbinson doesn't sound like this. But I like it as a cover

  • this is my absolute favorite song :D <3

  • johnny cash wrote it as a poem, then later on Roy did a cover on it but a two step version

  • Is it just me or was the whole soundtrack performed by the actors than by the originals? Please don't shout me down people, this is simply an opinion!

  • @bluebitterfly you are correct :)

  • @bluebitterfly you are right, the entire soundtrack consists of covers done by the actors in the film.... except for a few songs in the background (such as playing on radios or record players) that are original recordings.

  • @rockabillycat1954 yeah, I missed out a word in my comment - I meant to say I thought the actors' interpretations of the songs were better than the originals...

  • fantastic¡¡ *-*

  • no by roy orbinson!

  • @89Raff no Johnny Cash has wirtten this song for his wife , then Roy Orbison covered it ;)

  • Originally done By Johnny Cash

  • One of the original kinds of RocknRoll!! :D

  • Awesome; Rockabilly at it's best!

  • thank you for uploading, I had been searching this for a while.

You should change the title, the character portrayed is supposed to be Roy Orbison. Naming the vid after the actor misleads other seekers like me

  • @mlovecraftr

Yeah, or put "Walk the line" behind it. :)

  • Just amazing!!

    Temazo!!

  • best version of the song i've heard

at least thats what i think.

  • originally done by roy orbison

  • @TheBobFiles No, originally done by Johnny cash and covered by Orbison.

  • @callesquadres originally WRITTEN by johnny cash. The originally RELEASED version was Roy Orbison

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBobFiles

Johnny Cash wrote the song for his Wife Vivian , roy made a 2 step from it. grtz !

  • @TheBobFiles originally done by cash

  • @Manbearpig141 yes, but johnny cash never really took that song seriously. Roy Orbison did.

  • @Manbearpig141 written by Cash. Orbison's was the first version to be released.

  • @TheBobFiles you do know who this guy is playing dont you?

  • @10995 indeed

  • yheaaaaaaaa Rock on ! Johnathan Rice Rock too! It is a very great song . I will try to do it on a show :D thank a lot for this uploading.

  • WHOA HEY this is great! Where did you get it? I like Johnathan Rice and this song so much and wished there was more of it in the movie. Thanks so much for uploading this.
