Depends on the intensity of your training. Strength athletes never train to failure. They usually save one or two reps. And you need to increase strength to grow muscle. There's now other way.
If you train to failure every workout you will get stronger but you will need more and more rest in between workouts for the recovery of the nerve system.
its funny how people come on here and try to give advise to a dude who has his own work video...i mean if it can be done better step yo game up and develope your own workout video so people can take your advise instead of this dude..its that simple
3 sets to failure is nothing, i do 10-15 sets. I guess you only said 3 sets because thats not the only back exercise which will be done and this is just to throw into a preplanned workout,

Those are not chin ups, you're doing pull ups. You need to pull up so your chin is above the bar. All the ones you did were incorrect.
