It's no use talking about predictions and how they are wrong now, because the D-backs have surprised EVERYBODY. What I can say is that this guy clearly didn't do research. Chris Young was an all-star last season, Daniel Hudson had a 1.69 ERA in 11 starts with the D-backs last season, and Kelly Johnson was one of the best power hitting second basemen last year. It's like you just disregarded everything besides what someone told you.

My thoughts: NL East: Yeah the Marlins did lose Dan Uggla which I think will hurt them and I dont expect any great things from the Mets for at least a couple of years or so. They need to work on some things and keep their players healthy. The Braves are a strong team and will do good. The Phillies obviously have a very very strong pitching rotation with Lee, Halladay, Hamels, etc so I expect them to do very well.

@tstarr17 I'm not an Orioles fan but their lineup is a helluva a lot better than their 2010 lineup. I will not be surprised if they deal out some damage this year. If somehow their pitching (starting and bullpen) hold up, you might see them out of the cellar this year.

Also towards the video... the Atlanta braves have the fourth most hitting line up in the mlb... while their pitching rotation is ranked fifth in era last year.. Only question really is the BP but Venters, Moylan, and Kimbrel have proved themselves this ST. While philly has lost their best hitter for most, if all season. But guess the video says this because it was made make in January. Really can't predict injures I guess, also would never ever want to wish something like that on anyone. Its sad

The phils have likely lost Utley for an entire season, Werths gone that leaves huge holes in their line up considering Howard is now going to be pitched around since he no longer has protection. And their bullpen is now significantly weaker for the time being seeing Lidge will be out for about 6-7 weeks. That's quite a few games. The only thing they have left really is their rotation however pitching does not score runs. As for the the Cardinals they lost Waino...

The rangers are better than people are giving them credit for Yes they may have lost cliff lee but cliff lee did nothing statistical wise to win them the AL west. he went 4-5 during the regualr season with the rangers. and now that C.J wilson has a bit more experience as a starter i see him only getting better, brandon weeb could return close to his 06-07 mark he would be great. Rookie of the year neftali feliz is most likely moving to the rotation making our pitching great, with hitting we have

though i think the rockies will take the west and the reds will take the central (with the brewers finishing second and cards finishing third. regardless, it will be very tight). despite the fact my yankees didn't make too many movies, they can still have a great season. on paper, people are guaranteeing a sox/phils world series, but anything can happen. nobody expect the giants to beat the phils right? good call with chicago taking the central. they're absolutely loaded now.

@tstarr17 ??? what? the only reason their hitting wasn't amazing last year was because kendry morales broke his leg...then they add vernon wells and you still think that their offense isn't better than the A's, the A's have fantastic but Young pitchers, combine that with their really bad offense and the fact that their stadium is HUGE they wont be hitting homeruns, i would literaly streak a yankees game if the A's won that division, theres just no way

@sean14sc I'm not a big fan of Vernon Wells honestly. He's a good player, but he's not great. He is REALLY overpaid. I'm surprised the Angels would take on a contract like that. As for Morales, he's gonna be a little rusty after missing all last season. If he can come back healthy and better than ever, then the Angels should be fine. Maybe an 86 win team.
As for the A's, you don't need to be a power hitter to be successful. Just look at Ichiro. I didn't say their hitting was good (continued)

Good predictions, but because the Padres made the Giants struggle to the very last game of the season before the Giants finally won, I think the Padres would be atleast 3rd in the NL West. Dodgers might have got Uribe, but he's getting old anyways.
(I agree with you a lot when you said you wanted the Rockies to be good, I want them to be a good team, too.)

@tstarr17 I'm not an Orioles fan but their lineup is a helluva a lot better than their 2010 lineup. I will not be surprised if they deal out some damage this year. If somehow their pitching (starting and bullpen) hold up, you might see them out of the cellar this year.

Well off the mlb power rankings(based off off season moves) most of it looks about right. But they've penciled in either the Philies or the braves winning the WC while the other takes the division crown. @tstarr17 our bullpen is 60/40 it can be good after we ass a few key relivers, garcia and westbrook are good at the 3 and 4 spot and lohse if he can return to the 08 form our starting pitching is verry good! and i think berkman can have a really solid year
