  • This tribute reduced me to tears. Poignant and powerful. The great Mr Burrows would have appreciated it. "And the wheel spins freely on the axle." Superb.

  • @winifredatwell I don't know what else to say but thank you . . .

  • Thank you for this. It made me cry, and I can't begin to explain why.

  • Also a great tribute, Lost over Loas is also well worth the read. PoetryAgainstWar did you ever manage to track down Russell Burrows? I'm currently writing a paper on the legacy of Burrows and Henri Huet's work for LIFE and his insight into his father's work would be invaluable.

  • A great tribute,

Your right a movie would be great. There is a fantastic book all about his final days. It called Lost over Laos by Richard Pyle. I think you can get it on amazon.

  • Hey lukeosite, I was in touch with Richard trying to track down Russell Burrows, Larry's son, and I promised him I'd read it . . . and to my shame, I still haven't. But thanks for your recommendation and your comment.

  • A stunning photographer, and a kind tribute.

  • He certainly was, I'd love to see a film of his life. Thanks for commenting, much appreciated.

  • A beautiful tribute. A fine photographer and a superb human being. It saddens me how few people know either his name, or his work.

    R.I.P. Mr Burrows.

  • Thanks for your kind comment.
