  • My little part-Italian self loves it!

  • GREAT JOB LOU !!!! AS ALWAYS YOU BRING SEXY TO ALL YOUR WORDS YOU SING.

  • This song is awesome--just as ALL of Lou's songs are. He is still hot after all these years.

  • Love his singing. I did not know that his last name was Sacco.

  • ""LUIGI Alfredo Giovanni Sacco""

  • ANY MORE ITALIAN SONGS BY LOU BY THE WAY HAPPY FATHERS DAY YOU GUYS

  • @BargainHunter8142 -- Lou Christie's real name IS Lugee -- not Luigi.

  • where is Pete ?

  • FABULOUS!!!

  • Lou,

I produced and aired an Italian Music Program in the Pittsburgh area for several years and I speak from experience when I say that this song is a classic example of "La Bella Canzone all'Italiana,'" which gets more melodic every time it's heard. Complimenti! You should sing it at Sanremo and they should be grateful to have it. Have you heard what the Sanremo Festival is passing of as Italian music these days??? They seem to have lost their "roots". You have re-found them.

  • LOVE IT and congrats on your Italian Heritage award which you more than deserve as you do your heritage and this world proud!!!!!! Thanks again for saving my life back in1982 at a benefit concert!!! I continue to pray for only the best of health, success and happiness for you and yours!!!!!

  • Dear Lou~~CONGRATULAZIONI Baby on receiving your Italian Heritage Award. You deserve it. Keep Rockin' Luv!!!!!

  • Tu Sei La Migliore!!!! love you Lou! See you next month, more pictures please! Got the wine!! <3 <3

  • What the hell else does this guy do. He's a lot bigger then Rock and Roll.

  • " Happy 67th Birthday" Lou! Can't wait to see you again for some more pictures. I'm glad i m Italian!!!

  • I didn't think it was possible, but Lou, you sound even sexier in Italian! Thank you for the beautiful song.

  • I'm sooooo glad you sang this song at the show, just beautiful!!!!

  • Just saw Lou oct 10th. he was very sick with the flu, but that did not stop him from putting on a great show (as usual) ! Bless you Lou! Enjoy the wine. see you in dec. "Ciao "

  • Great song! Go for it. Viva Italia!!

  • I love this new song, Very nice!...and wonderful voice as always.....:)

  • You will always bring back the days of palisades park when you started out. You were great then & now you age like fine wine. Hope to see you again in aug & oct.. Ok OK.. I'll bring you another bottle of wine ..Loved your flip flops..!!!!

  • Lou has so much talent. Love this song. Hope to see him perform in person someday

  • he is awesome

  • Lou-Of COURSE you should do this song-no one has your talent. And I am not prejudiced - well, maybe a littel Smile. Love always from one of your Tammy girls, Gretchen

  • The only thing that could improve this video would be to see Lou Christie performing his song. He is a magnetic charismatic singer, with wonderfully expressive "moves", and I would have loved to see some footage of him singing this song, spliced in with the moody carousing through Little Italy. See his video with Lesley Gore on YouTube and you will see someone who commands a stage, and "delivers" a song, big-time.

Italy awaits, Lou. Knock their socks off.

  • I really like this song! I think LOU should sing this new song at the Sanremo Music Festival in Italy. I hope he will be given that opportunity! I'm half Italian myself, and I grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY.

  • Lou! I try to order this song today but I need more info , the name off the cd, it is a single? can we find this song on a compilation? This song is always in my mind...I love it!!! But I want to bye the cd, I'm in Montréal Grazie!

  • Caro Lou! Few days ago,i spoke about this song on Michel polnareff(french singer)official site and i cab see ,, a lot of fans vieni to listen you bella canzone and this morning i wake up again with you in my head

  • Lou! I saw you in Montréal in 63 64?? I was a little girl and i leave by my window room to assist at you show (paul and Paula, gene Pitney etc. )it was magnifico! i spoke with you before the bus leave and you gave me a little kiss miammm lool I'm so felice to find you again with this bella canzone and since 3 months, this song still always in my mind.Buena fortuna por San Remo and ciao ciao bello! Claudia

  • From another Italian in the Pittsburgh area, Grazie!! On to San Remo! You're still the greatest, Lou.

  • This is great, and yes is the answer.

  • I love this song and you should win a san remo festivale, I so happy , you still singing and mi piache la canzone

  • Beautiful tribute to your heritage.

  • I'm in love!

  • Forza Lou! Tanti auguri al festivale "San Remo". . .e' una canzona propria bella!

  • I thought this video was wonderful. We are coming to see you this weekend and I hope you do this song.

  • I think you should sing this song at the music festival in Sanremo. Very nicely done!

  • LOU-YES!Take your voice, your lyrics, and claim your Italian heritage at the Sanremo Music Festival in Italy! When I was 13 and you were 23, I drooled over you many times at the Big Bam Shows in Montgomery, Alabama.

    CIAO YA'LL

  • A modern Lou Christie classic..sad, strong and soulful. Roy, Elvis, James, Del, and Gene are gone. Lou is the man waving the flag. See him when you can. This song is as great as Lou's past catalog. Do this at St. Remo..It's a San Remo Winner! By the way Lou, please come back to New Mexico soon. Sincerely, Nedrebo and family

  • California needs a shot of Lou Christy. Come visit.

  • Lou Christie, This is beautiful! You must perform it. When I was a little girl and I would visit my cousin. When I was there I would pull out all of his Lou Christie albums to play while he was not home. I wore them out. A few got scratched. I loved listening to them. He instinctively knew when I had them out. I think he hated me for it.

  • Lou...I think this song is beautiful. I do hope you're able to perform this in Sanremo at the music festival. They would definitely adore you (as we do here in the U.S.) and be proud to have you there as a fellow Italian. I wish you all the luck and please let us know if "your dream comes true".

I wasn't far from your hometown in the early years..so "this burgh girl" wishes you, as always, the best.

  • Lou- I meant to say I agree "with." It was great when I had the pleasure of seeing you perform, in concert, on my birthday on Feb. 5, 2005, in Miami Florida. I look forward to seeing you again!

    Love,

    Bonnie

  • Lou--This is terrific! I feel like I'm being serenaded in an Italian restaurant! Can you serenade me personally? I am "RunaroundSue's" daughter. My parents go to all of your concerts. I loved seeing you in concert.

    Bonnie (Ft.Lauderdale)

  • How large is the PROCTOR'S THEATER in Schenectady ? Is it one of those grand historic vaudville theaters ?

  • Glad to hear there is more activity in Schenectady than we have here in Westchester County.

  • You were brilliant last night at Proctor's. I wish you had sung Non So Perche. "I Don't Know Why" I love it.

  • Lou first it was great seeing you at Proctors in Schenectady(nov3)Wish you were on longer. We hope you kick butt in Italy with this song. Its beautiful.Hope to see you again soon.

  • You're Lou Christie, you can do whatever you choose. You don't need permission! Besides, it would be a shame not to share you with the Italians!

I just returned from your performance at Proctors in Schenectady, and again it was such a remarkable time, it was well worth the squatting I did in the aisle to see you. You are truly a talent Lou, I know Italy will love you as much as I do.

  • Lou ! I visited your website and emailed you but are these communications getting through OK ? I may have emailed your agency by mistake - hope they did not think I was NUTS !

Anyway, I do like your ITALIAN song. You sound very different here - maybe its the language - the open vowels bring out a unique placement to your voice.

Win FIRST PRIZE at SAN REMO and we will toast you with some good cold CHIANTI - and don't forget to invite us to join you !

    IMMENSI AUGURI AMICO MIO !

  • Lou, you shouldn't even ask. Your voice is so powerful- it knocks me out every time. 40 years and I still get tears on certain songs. Like the person below said "follow your dreams" Honor your Italian heritage by giving them a song.(What a gift). Michael dlala- Retied Firemen

  • Lou - your diction is excellent but then again it always was !

    BRAVO ! BRAVISSIMO !

  • Oh Lou,

Non So Perche is wonderful! We adore you and come to as many of your shows as we can possibly get to. There really is no one out there who has what you have, and we think you should definitely bring this to Italy - just make sure you come back to us!

    We love you,

    Bonnie and Michael(UWS)

  • Lou...you are awesome. I loved you and your music when I was in 6th grade (Lightning Strikes, etc.), and I love you now as an adult. You have the best voice I have ever heard. Go to Italy...sing you're beautiful song. Please keep making your beautiful music.

    Betsy (Pittsburgh, PA)

  • Lou

You know your voice is perfect. Follow your dreams. If Italy is where your heart sends you...go.

    Angie(alabama)

  • Hi Lou !

Hoping all is well. Saw you last year on PBS and you were excellent !

Most definitely you should go forward with your Italian Song in SAN REMO. Your Italian diction is excellent. Nowadays when people sing we cannot understand a thing what they are singing about !

    Immensi Auguri !

    Ciao,

    Bill

  • Oh my gosh....I have reintroduced you to all of my friends....they now realize WHO YOU ARE!

This is a great video....your voice is remarkable...you have that "thing" that makes you a truly remarkable singer/entertainer.

Remember there are millions of "everyday" people who love and admire you. Thanks for never being afraid to take a "risk"...especially when it means you are readdressing your heritage! I hope this song is loved and appreciated!

  • KathleenWilbeck, There's something about Italian men, they're just beautiful.

  • You cousin Lou is amazing ! Looks younger than most people in their 20's ! Has he perhaps stumbled upon the FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH ?

I think its his positively optimistic CAN-DO spirit that I wish I could have. The man can teach us much and not just about singing either !
