The fact that he plowed so easily through all these monsters is what made this movie weak. If we're gonna get all these monsters in one movie, give them decent roles and camera time. Have the earth monsters team up to defend earch against the alien monsters. Godzilla, Rodan, Anguirus, Mothra, King Cesar, vs Gigan, Ghidorah, Space Godzilla, etc. Having obscure monsters show up for five seconds and die in five seconds was so wasteful. Also seeing fan favorites like Rodan go down so quickly sucked.

I want Godzilla destroy New York, BUT make the story more focused in what he is and how to destroy him like the first movie ( instead of romantic crap from 1998 ) and Godzilla being badass and destroy everything with his breath. In the ending, there is no other way, but launch a nuclear attack in New York.

There's also a rumor that Legendary Pictures is making their own Godzilla movie, this one based off the original Godzilla rather than that 1998 one. The rumor is it's supposed to be released this year, but with no trailers yet I'm finding it hard to believe.

The American Reboot by Legendary Pictures is coming in 2014, not 2012.... 2014 is Godzilla's 60th Anniversary.

It will have nothing to do with the 98 movie but will be more like the Japanese films with atomic breath, being a force of nature, an also confirmed to battle another monster or monsters an will attack Japan sometime during the film.

So it's already off to a great start

I honestly think its Ghidorah is like Vegeta from Dragonball Z and Godzilla is like Goku (I know Godzilla came first but i'm just drawing a comparison) with monsters like Mechagodzilla being the equivalent of the androids and Destroyah being Cell :P But It'd be awesome to see like Godzilla fighting Ghidorah and Destroyah and see Destroyah try to finish him off but Ghidorah takes Destroyah out as if to say "he's my rival, and my nemesis. It is my right to finish him"

Making Godzilla super over powered kind of dulled the movie for me but on a side note this movie when it came to the humans aspect started as Godzilla, then Xmen or Power Rangers, then Matrix, then Star Wars, then Dragonball Z, and then finished as Godzilla again

Personally i would have had a different monster selection during the final battle. The monster that came from the asteroid should have been a creature that duplicated Godzilla cells and became SpaceGodzilla. I would have replaced Gigan with King Gahdora, and when the final battle came it would have been Mecha Gahdora. For the Fourth, it should have been Mecha Godzilla, could have mentioned it early in the movie as a new monster killing weapon.

This movie really puts the "God" in Godzilla. Final wars really shows Godzilla as the undisputed "King of the Monsters". The human parts on the other hand were funny, crazy, weird and sometimes just really annoying, except the parts with Don Frye.

Mixed thoughts about this one:

Cons: Half of the movie, Godzilla wasn't in it. What the crap kinda treatement is that for a big 50? Also, nonsensical story, ridiculous kung fu that feels out of place, and the redesign of Anguirus. And Minya? Really?

Pros: Zilla destroyed in 13 seconds, Gigan gets one sweet-A redesgin... and that's it. More bad for me than good, I guess.

Yea, Toho is Rebooting the series with Legendary Pictures American Reboot in 2014.

Legendary Pictures has the right's now, so that will be the next Godzilla film to be released.

Toho is hopeful the American Reboot will be a huge success an will make possibly 1 or 2 sequels. Then probably put him back in retirement or bring him back a couple years later. Toho wont rush Godzilla back into theater's like with G-2000 again.

So hope the American Reboot doesn't suck or bomb.

To tell you the Truth. They only chose the Popular monsters in GFW. Ghidorah, Mothra, and Gigan are the most Popular monsters of the Godzilla movies. Although was was King Ghidorah Renamed as Kaiser Ghidorah in the GFW. If you recall watch the Rebirth of Mothra 1 Again King Ghidorah was Rename DesGhidorah. Whats whats up with that?
