  • why are you guys commenting on the USMC Silent Drill Team. This is in no way, shape, or form the USMC Silent Drill team. If you want to watch them, then youtube them!

  • Ahh the whites are soo prettyy! I cant wait (:

  • Yes the USMC drill is the best (being a former marine myself) but for all of the people talking trash about any of the drill teams, I wanna see you do what they do. They represent their respective branches of service and if you have never served then shut up! Semper FI!!!

  • seconds 36-45 show how ate up they are. BEST DRILL? hahahahahahahahahahaha (goes on for infinity)

  • Holy Fucking Shit! Seriously? These guys are a fucking joke! Fucking clowns! Watch SDP then tell me who's best. Semper!

  • im big drill fan<3 its so usefull i war

  • Comment removed

  • ass slapping.....typical navy move. hahaha

  • uh oh a fuck up at 1:50

right side second to the end

  • USMC Silent Drill Platoon Is The Best Hands Down

  • does anybody know what type of rifles they use

  • @RPGvidsTV Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon uses M1 Garand rifles with fixed bayonets. These look similar but they're moving too fast to tell. Go the standsymphony (dot com) I think the USMC SDP's routines seem more profound.

  • @RPGvidsTV looks like m1's, but pretty sure if I saw the bolt correctly, they are springfields

  • @RPGvidsTV they use m1903 springfields

  • Lol that commander must have been thinking: "I swear to God if anyone of them hits me..."

  • Personally I was in the Navy, 8 years, and yes I'm proud of that, but I love all branches of the military because they are all Americans fighting to keep America free.

  • hahaha its a bunch of seemen

  • Just FYI...it's not OORAH, or HOORAH, or, OOYAH or what ever other misinterpretation of the infinate HUA...which stands for "HEARD, UNDERSTOOD and ACKNOWLEDGED."........just sayin.......

  • I keep seeing coments from people who must know nothing about the military. Of course these sailors can fight, but it's not like the Marines fight, or the Army. This is the Navy for pete's sake. Hasn't anyone heard of the Seals or the Iowa or the Enterprise? For my money... There is a polish and professionalism to the MCSDP that is not present in any other. But these Navy boys do great! I'm sure the Marines coached them, and they're in step not just walking in the same direction!

  • Well better than the army however no where near the best 1234 UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS HOORAH!!!

  • in high school i wasn't in njrotc drill, i was in the drill and flags for the marching band. But even still we knew some basic rules.... if you take a step and you are not in line, you don't take another step to fill the gap.... one step is one step! get in line at another time. Or else everyone will see your mistake.

  • nice you guys can march!.... can you fight!??!?!?!

  • I did this shit when I was 15 for a legion honor guard, with a REAL m1 garand. This really isnt anything special, their out of formation, their cadence is off, and worst of all their Squid Sticks...

To my "comrads" on their boats doing god only knows what, your straight friends from the marines, sincerely.

    OORAH!

  • @X3ProductionsINC A REAL M1 Garand? Just because it's demilitarized, doesn't mean it's real, my friend. Same weight, maye a tad bit off from a firable model. M1903 Springfield weighs 9-10lbs, and M1 Garand weighs 10-11lbs. 1 pound difference? The only shift from these rifles is the structure. Give credit where credit is due, stop stereotyping the Navy, afterall, without them, where would the Marines be? (:

  • @CrazyhorseAH64

Yes a REAL M1 Garand, red tags and all, still fired real 30-06 rounds too.. a blank adapter later and theres your parade M1 that I threw around. Mine specifically weighed 10.2 pounds. I had a chance to throw around an M1903 (it was a juniors from a different squad) that weighed like 7-8 pounds..

Hold them during a ceremony for 2 hours and you'll know 2-3 pounds is pretty heavy haha

But like they say My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment (until next year) hahah

  • @X3ProductionsINC Sorry, first, let me correct my sentence mistake. I meant to say, "Just because it's demilitarized, doesn't mean it ISN'T real, my friend." Maybe this will straighten things out.

  • there are sooooooo many parts where they messed up! come on! ill stick with the USMC Silent Drill Platoon all the way!!!! OORAH!

  • @pbfreak09 marines are owned by the Navy. like it or not...

  • @JZieber1 what does that have to do with anything? haha i didnt say anything about that.

  • @pbfreak09 just sayin son! lol

  • @pbfreak09

You're 100% correct. Nice performance, but they don't hold a candle to USMC Silent Drill Platoon.

    Thanks for your post.

  • @pbfreak09 Wow and people actually like this coment. I think they were Good. Haters...

  • @pbfreak09 Just youngsters trying their ass off to be someone, do something right. I was in their shoes. "E" for Excellent!

  • @pbfreak09 Of course you might have a little more mistakes ehen you are moving this fast. Marines are moving at a turtles pace and the're boring except on two occasions of there entire show.

  • Just another reason why I respect the Navy so much.

  • LOVE THIS!!!!!! He has absolute confidence in his team

  • LOVE THIS!!!!!! He has absolute confidence in his team

  • Flared elbows!!!!! nasty!!!!!!!

  • @CarmeloRicarde its not nasty, it looks proper. especially compared to how the Air Force shoulders their rifles. they have them so low, it looks like your waiting for the bus or something

  • 0:55 DUDE ROBOTS !

  • Cudos to those who participated.... for all those who commented with criticism...put up or shut up. These are the people that defend our country no matter what uniform they wear and God Bless them!!!!

  • Cudos to those who participated.... for all those who comment...put up or shut up. These are the people that defend our country no matter what uniform they wear and God Bless them!!!!

  • obviously not full weight rifles, but DEAR GOD that was hot

  • @CrimsonOmen407 those rifles are real, just no firing pins and the metal parts are shiney.

  • @gmtava89 those are some light ass rifles lol

  • the guy, second to last on the right, messed up at 6:04

  • nice! not to brag too much but my school is almost comparable i think. checkout marmion academy drill if ya wanna

  • Semen...

  • @JerryLawMartin *Seaman...

    :P

  • @CrimsonOmen407 Oh snap, thanks :D

  • LCpl Johnson, This is NOT the U.S. Navy SILENT DRILL TEAM! ONLY the USMC has a SILENT DRILL TEAM! You should have been taught ATTENTION TO DETAIL in boot camp! I understand you are bios to the Marine Corps. drill team because you are a Marine. These sailors aren't exactly given very many commands like you suggest. They actually do a lot more individual rifle work than any other branch of service....including the Marines.

  • @TopGun8993 There are other other silent drill teams, the marines aren't the only silent drill team. The service academies have silent drill routines, so do most military colleges and prep schools. I'm not saying that the sailors here are silent, but still, they are good. Go Navy, Beat Army

  • The object is to enjoy not compare. I am a Marine and I like any team that shows discipline and coordination. I also prefer occasional commands especially when the public does not understand the lingo. My favorite thing about boot camp was the different language we Marines use in drill. Personally, drilling Army and Marines seems almost ordinary. Seeing Navy or Air Force at this level is interesting.

  • @bjworkid1 I agree 100% even though being a navy guy myself. My marine brethrens were astonished that I know how to drill in formation at all with them. I haven't drilled really at since boot camp 10 years ago. Sad...we navy need a page to learn from the USMC....

  • I dont know how it works for these guys, but when we screw a drill up, we paye a round of beer... some of them would be wasted lol

  • Hey genius, since you are are a Marine only in COD Black OPS, you wouldn't know know that the USMC silent drill team issues commands too, since all you have to do is click on their video right over there to see and hear that --------->

  • Comment removed

  • WENT TO A ENTIRE BOOT CAMP GRADUATION ONE TIME THERE WAS ABOUT 600 GRADUATES THERE WAS MAYBE 60 OF THESE GUYS THEY WERE AWESOME THERE WAS MUCH MORE ACTION - ALOT OF SPINING AND SEVERAL TIMES RIFLE TOSSING NEVER A DROP - WE WERE TOLD AT THE BEGGING OF THE 2 AND A HALF HOUR EVENT NO CHEERING NO OUTBURTS - THESE GUYS GOT A STANDING OVATION Ô¿Ô

  • mareins are so much sharper than this. the mareins get one command theses guys get several

  • @Epicdroid yet the navy wins most drill team competitions....sharper, no...LOOK sharper...yes.

  • I like the Marine Corps drill better but thanks for posting.

  • Its kinda like looking into one of those infinity mirrors lol.

    No disrespect. future Sailor here.

  • @YOUNGFRESH803- First of all LCpl, The U.S. Navy drill team isn't a silent drill team. The Marines are the only branch that title themselves as a SILENT drill team. I get you are a gung-ho U.S. Marine....God Bless you, and thank you for your service. I'm a veteran too. You could show a little more respect for your fellow countrymen in the U.S. Navy displaying one hell of a rifle drill. It just seems your criticism of the Navy drill team is incorrect. They are NOT a SILENT drill team. Take care.

  • are those facsimile rifles?

  • yeah im in high school JROTC we r starting an exhibition team. wish we were as good as these guys. there amazing. i especially wouldnt spin with a bayonet on the rifle either

  • is this like... stomp the yard, or streetdancers 3d or some shit? how bout you stop twirling your rifles and shoot some god damn dirkas.

  • Comment removed

  • 1:50 he almost killed himself

  • sailor's will make you just a little sea sick, they sway when the march. watch . . .

  • it happens all the time in DC. Still cool though.

  • USMC is the best drill team? or Airforce? Or Army? How about the Navy?

    Navy - 2007, 2008, 2009 Drill team Champion

2010 Army won with Navy coming in 2nd.

  • @TheDeshi100 Placements don't reflect talent. Just because they placed higher, doesn't mean they are better. Michael Renn, a Fern Creek MCJROTC Alumni is the current world champion in solo exhibition drill. Does that literally mean he is the best in the world? No.

  • @Armed4Life07 Allow me answer you in several things. Does placement reflects talent? The answer is yes, the judges, judge on the merit of skills and talent. How could they judge the best team if not for talent and skills? Are the navy team that placed higher in the competition the best in the world? Maybe NOT, but one thing is for sure they are BETTER than those who placed below them.

As for Michael Renn, he may not be the best but definitely better than the rest who competed against him.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheDeshi100 Teams get screwed over all the time. 98% of judges don't even know what they are judging. Most of it is volunteer work from local military recruiters that know nothing about exhibition drill. You have a lot to learn. Don't worry, I understand where you're coming from. I also thought like that when I was a drill n00b myself years ago.

  • @Armed4Life07 - By your premise there is no way then to know who the better performer then. I'm not here to argue whether the judges know or doesn't know what they are doing. I'm merely making a statement based on people who posted here saying that the USMC (most of them) Army (some) and AF (a bit) are the best. Comparing those who posted to that of the local military recruiters as judges of the exhibition, I would go to the decision of this judges who are at least in the service.

  • @TheDeshi100 It's all mainly boils down to opinion, but not entirely. I've been drilling for 7 years and have an extensive exhibition drill background. Based off my experience, when I watch other teams or individuals drill, I know what I'm looking at, and looking for. On a side note, my former drillmaster Constantine coaches the Navy Drill Team. He had me perform my solo infront of the team in preparation for the National High School Drill Team Championships in 2007.

  • @Armed4Life07 Correct thats my point, opinion. You may have a better eye about the drill teams but the rest of who posted here are only basing on their biased opinions. Please read my original post again, it was intended to take away the "biased opinion" by informing them that during the drill meets the Navy has won 3 times and Army 1. This, I hope, will bring them back to earth and have an open mind about military drill meets.

  • @TheDeshi100 I've drilled with them numerous times and they were pretty cool. Somewhere deep down, I am partially Navy DT biased from my experiences with them. While I may be partially biased towards the Navy, I still don't think they are the best, even if they did happen to place above the other service teams.

  • @Armed4Life07 This is your assessment based on your skills and experience. That is not being contested by me, I'm however giving the others some information so that they will know what happened during the drill meet. Unlike you 90% of those who posted here doesn't know what to look for during these competitions.

  • @TheDeshi100 Look up the Norwich Shock Platoon and Fish Drill Team on youtube. Tell me who you think is better and we'll continue our discussion from there.

  • @Armed4Life07 This is not relevant to our discussion. You're assessment about the USN Drill team not being the best is not my issue. You sir are entitled to that. On the other hand I'm giving those posted something to think about whenever they say USMC or any service is better than USN.

  • @Armed4Life07 There is nothing to think about. Because they won once, doesn't mean they are the best. The Joint Service Drill Competition has only happened three times. It's first year, the Marines Silent Drill Platoon won. The 2nd year, the Navy Ceremonial Honor Guard Drill Team won, and in 2010, the Army Old Guard Drill Team won. The next one will be held in April, 2011.

  • @Armed4Life07 - I suggest you address your issues to the other guys who are saying best to all based on their biased opinion. I on the other hand is addressing the issue of being narrow minded opinions.

    Cheers!

  • @Armed4Life07 - Bottom line, I would go to the judges of this drill meet. Judges who were from all the services who competed rather than to believe what the posters are saying here. At least there is a bit of a balance on the judging rather than those who are posting who they believe is the best. Belief that is partial and biased.

  • @TheDeshi100 but the Marine Corps knows how to use the weapons better then all those branched hehe ;)

  • @TheDeshi100 the navy sucks compaired the marines sorry to say there style is much cleaner and more persise

  • @TheDeshi100 marines hands down, but this was pretty sick too.

  • 5:15 did he just hail Hitler? lol

  • Very impressive with the solo rifle spin. Although I do have to say the white boot covers is a bit eh. Aside from that very good, I'm just disappointed peds didn't stop to look, those bastards.

  • 5:45 clearly mistake, the last rear spinning guy, on your right side(not the guys standing the one that spinning)

  • check out Navy Norway by Gayhood 9,243,443 viewa.

  • I think they did good. Of course, I'm just backing them up because I'm a NJROTC cadet at my school (first year, and I'm already one of the top shooters on Persion Rifle Team) :D

  • Dang this makes me want to sing from the From the Halls of Montezuma,

    To the Shores of Tripoli......

  • When does the Navy do this at there memorial?

  • USMC is the best hands down but ill give these squid heads a bit of my respect.

  • @014Marines

Dude the Marine corps is part of Navy.

  • Comment removed

  • @Panteraforever67 true dat but Marines are more disciplined and one of the strongest military forces out there!

O and next time capitalize Corps!!!

    Semper Fi!!!

  • These guys are horrible, but its their trainer constantine's fault he's garbage. Keep working hard Navy.

  • @BUTCHUSAF How is it CHW's fault? lol. Do you think you can beat him in a drill off?

  • im looking for any video of the drill team from 1984 to 1988. i was on it then and have no video or photos of myself and am trying to find some. thank you anyone who can help. PM me for my personal info you need it for verification. thanks

  • @mariesguy65 sorry, from 1984 to 1986. not 1988.

  • Bravo Zulu!!!

    Lieutenant United States Navy (Ret)

    1980-2004

  • Damn!! That made me wanna go Navy even more!! I can't wait till I get in cuz I wanna do that

  • @MrNell84 I sure hope you like repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, discipline, respect, and repetition. (;

  • ...to all the behind the keyboard hiding haters, let's see you twirl a loaded rifle instead of playing with your dick.

    USN/Grenada/1983 (Retired). GO NAVY~!

  • Navy, Marines, Airforce, Army; they all serve, the Navy just does it better! Hope I one day get the chance to join them!!!

SHS NJROTC Armed Drill Team Commander c/LCDR

  • i thought this was supposed to be a silent drill team...why the fuck he givin commands at the beginning...OORAH MARINE CORPS SILENT DRILL TEAM

    ~LCpl Johnson

  • @YOUNGFRESH803 its not, its the ceremonial gaurd, and for the record im not dissing anything so dont even start that shit

  • @YOUNGFRESH803 No one said it was a silent drill team...oh your pay will be late...HOO YAH

  • @YOUNGFRESH803 Probably because it was something like a position for report? I don't know i'm just guessing.

    ~SSgt Stillwell.

  • @YOUNGFRESH803 uhmmm the USMC gives commands as well i have seen it =P

  • Comment removed

  • @YOUNGFRESH803 Why don't you just shut and enjoy the video......LCpl...

  • @YOUNGFRESH803 im pretty sure he's calling attention to start the drill :P

  • @YOUNGFRESH803 where do you see silent drill team at all the title says is drill team

  • @YOUNGFRESH803 agreed! USMC silent drill all the way. father is a marine, im gonna be right there behind him. leave in 3 months to MCRD San Diego! OORAH!

  • yeah this is worst then my military school but this video is badass

  • I am going to learn some of this for my schools ROTC drill team! It is hard to spin one of those rifles compaired to my band rifle!

  • yeah, spin some riflles around, so what. we all (navy, marines, airforce and army, coast gaurd) are the backbone of this country.

  • The Navy hasn't changed their uniform since WW1, As much as I love them they need to get with the modern age while still keeping tradition.

  • its not the best sorry to say the USAF does more and is mroe as a team and has moer members but it is outstanding just not the best

C/SSGT Civil air patrol 1 year till AFA Air Force Academy allready accepted ^_^

  • Go Navy! Much respect from me, 3rd generation Navy and Veteran. Im a former 2nd Class AW/SAR ( Aircrewman ).

  • Best I've ever seen

  • at 05:45, the second guy from the center, to the right, il fait une erreure! the guy misses the side kick cause he didnt spin the gun fast enough.. they're still really amazing though!

  • oorah....being iam a jarhead and spent two tours in combodia..id say both navy and marines need practice..watch the itialian police drill team.

  • the Silent Drill Platoon never let me down EVER! Best USMC/USN Display Team Ever!

  • @ncis0520 what f'n picture? Have you ever even served in the military? Playing call of duty doesn't count

  • are you serious? this is trash!! lol the Marines entire performance is done without one single command...

  • @usmcnyc cause maybe it was practice you wanna be marine corp

  • @ncis0520 lol dude i spent 5 years in the Corps as a forward observer. Just keep playing Call of Duty ok little man?

  • @usmcnyc your picture sure dont show it

  • @usmcnyc Thats not really hard to do...lol.

  • i Love both the navy and marine drill teams but honestly id have to say the navy has a higher degree of difficulty, but the marines pull off their moves a little cleaner. If i had to say who was the best...well i wouldnt be able to, i enjoy them both, oorah

  • @NAvyC0rpSMan Agreed. They have a higher difficulty and bigger vocabulary of movements, but sacrifice precision. The Marines have a very low vocabulary of movements, but are extremely precise. Mix the two together and what do you get? The USAF Honor Guard Drill Team.

  • i have to admitted they were really good!!....but i still prefer the marines <3

  • Much respect.

  • Awesom!

  • Farout, so in sync, well done.

  • yah.... everyone wants to be like the Marine Corps Silent drill team....

  • level of synchronization is phenomenal. Good job men.

  • Some of you dip shits could not hang in a kiddy sand box. These young men are doing what most of you could not do. Much less hold your own dick. All of us that sign the paper and served. Have little respect for you who stay infront of your PS3 and play war games. 22yrs USN/RET.

  • @skeetcva34 Thank you sir for you service to our country, thank you very much.

  • 3:27 :O!!!!

  • Not bad at all, nice gaiters.

  • outstanding not as sharp as the usmc sdp but better spins

  • These sailors demonstrate how its "all in the wrists". Now, if they can show how to load and kill with these weapons, then they can talk shit. Until then, they can go back home and tell the guys that use to beat them up in high school how they went in the navy to learn how to twirl rifles.

  • nice as fuck

  • I Love the Navy and Marines kinda army i love airforce there probably a gunner crew because there handling M1grands :D

  • Im not a fan of the navy but that was really good

  • Marine Silent Drill Platoon is better in soooo many ways.

  • @synysterlud Not really, just 1.

  • @Armed4Life07 I honestly can not remember what I put. lol

  • @synysterlud You stated that the Marines SDP was better in so many ways, but really, only one ways stands out. Precision.

  • @Armed4Life07 Oh. Well eh I am not in the mood for arguments. Just my opinion. I like the Marine SDP a lot more. But I give the Navy it's respect since I can not do some of that lol. Its all great.

  • wow

  • SarahNelsont ... are you joking. I've been on here for years, and you are the first person who I've ever seen solicit web cam on YouTube LOL They have adult chat rooms on Yahoo msgr.

  • When talking about the BEST, I'm sorry but dont look towards the service drill teams. They dont measure up to teams like the hawaiian KG and NGA

  • @Vanilladrilla11 I'll agree with you on that.

    - Matt P

    Former New Guard America Riflemen.

  • I still think it looks strange to see squids with rifles !

  • @MexicanxCommrade

If it wasn't for the Marines, there would still be a Navy. If it wasn't for the Navy, there wouldn't be a Navy or Marines.

And I like the Marine silent drill platoon as well. But you gotta face it, the Navy has the best drill team, they beat the Marines for a while.

  • My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment

    navy is more precise

    still the best

  • they keep spankin themselvs, they needa quit that lol so gay

  • GAY! i hate the navy

  • @TheCowboysFan21

Well I hate the Cowboys, so I guess we are even.

  • @jmorter How long ago did you go through boot camp with the squids? It must have been either way before my time or way after. When I went in 2000, the Gay ass Navy fired some laser tag shit and when my friend went in 2002, they also fired some fake laser tag shit. Aircrew school, I know they fire weapons but unless some shit changed since I was in (back in 2000), the Navy does nothing in basic training but march and fold underwear (one of the MANY reasons I went from Navy to Army).

  • nasty

  • the marines silent drill is more stiff not as fancy as the navy honor gaurd they just keep their drills simplified for better precision. I prefer the navy's it has a rhythm to it.

  • indeed , people on the back didnt stop to watch.... Maybe they live there and are used to seeing the drill...

  • maby the rest of the people living there are from Marines families, lol "keep dirlling squids" as they pass by

  • Fuck a duck how many times dya think these guys fuck up before they get that good? I bet they did a few rehersals before adding the bayonets lol

  • Why the fuck arnt these people stoping to wtahc holy shit! Are they blind!

  • I know eh?
