  • Thanks dead space 2, for making me realize what a waste of time video games are. Twice now I've gotten to chapter 9 and blown out decompression window. Selling my Xbox and going to clean my life up.

  • Is he gonna buy more items this time :D

  • today i started to play hardcore and i had a riot suit unloched and in girst shop it wasent there wtf ? but in zealot it was there i don't get it now im with worst suit ever that is engeniering suit

  • I used to bring that pole with me 07:55 but then I relaised I can just use the necromorphs spikes once you kill one. Saves you fumbling about with your pole in the elevator.

  • im still stuck hanging from the damed train dieing there alot. fucking a hardcore is a ass.

  • @wildcat2087 use the force gun

  • @OblemProfficer i would but i dont have the pew pew gun unlocked yet.

  • @wildcat2087 You probably don't have the force gun unless you have dlc so use the Line Gun. Buy it at the store in the beginning of chapter 2 and put the 3 nodes into so you upgrade 2 damage. Also, with the node you get in the room where the woman gets killed in front of the elevator, go back and open that first room that needs the power node because the schematic for power nodes is in there.

  • @LukeQuietus i have every dlc for it and they were all free at the time, and im trying to go for the pew pew gun first

  • @wildcat2087 I made it to the pack till they brutally killed me!

  • Why Wasn't this game of the year?

  • @drexelkiller74 Because Skyrim.

  • When I first bought this game I pooped myself!

  • eu vou conseguir!! :D

  • i am going to watch this while i play, its the only way i'll make it.

  • @pattininja95 True dat!

  • I finished the game 3 times.I keep watching these walkthroughs every night. And I like it.

  • @JCRCAMPBELL If you're planning on doing a hardcore run then it might be worth the effort to just run through DS1 on easy.

  • This game was so badass that i didn't mind doing hardcore on my 2nd playthrough. It was worth it for a fun weapon and in the end being able to platinum the game:)

  • u can save if u save all3times u can delete ur first 2 saves and ull be where u were and ull have 2 saves :) so u can beat iteasily with saving anytime u want .........Thumbs up for every1 to c

  • u can save if u save all3times u can delete ur first 2 saves and ull be where u were and ull have 2 saves :) so u can beat iteasily with saving anytime u want

  • @TrilogyOfHaloStoners doesnt work

  • 3 saves the whole game !??!?! OMGGGGG

  • @Valyusthas220 not that hard if you know what you are doing =)

  • Thank you thank you THANK YOU for fast forwarding through the uneventful sections.

  • awsome guide i cnt do shet like that and 2 that when u fast foward i kinda get dizzy

  • Oops, damn T9.

  • Using the force gun and plasma cutter is a good tactic. I underestimated the force gun a lot and flaska to this tactic I have made all the way to chapter 7. I saved the first time after the Tormentor boss at the end of chapter 5. Hope to get this achievement.

  • This is by far one of the most fulfilling and challenging trophy there is. I needed the bloody force gun tho, Didn't want to waste precious hours replaying. Makes you wonder what dead space 3 has in store for us.

  • Everyone everyone I have an important thing to say

Are you bored of Dead Space 2 (weirdo)

Well play hardcore but only use TWO save in the whole session

and if that's easy try ONE save in all the session

and if that's still easy go for NO SAVES in all of the SESSION

Spread the word and remember tell em

M-S-Halo3Rocks sent ya copy and paste every where you go (whinch is related to Dead Space 2)

  • Is this on PC, Xbox or PS3?

  • not 3 saves per chapter?

  • @xXExedomeXx No. God Damn it!!! D:<

  • @xXExedomeXx whole game

  • @LadyKiriTheFallen rediculous

  • @xXExedomeXx No , it's true. 3 saves whole game.

  • @Valyusthas220 I know, I've got the Platinum

  • @xXExedomeXx grats ;)

  • i actually did sever ther arms and they did die i think

  • i failed five times time to cheat

  • I just got that achievement for beating this mode yesterday. I'm psyched.

  • 8:15 it's actually easier if you kill two necromorphs with the spears, and then rip the claws/blades off one you already killed and use that to kill the last one.

  • how the hell would you kill a necromorph with the flashlight? can someone please tell me?? O_o

  • @JamesStewartRider It really helps since you don't have to place your shots as carefully and can fire more indiscriminately, which will cause fewer deaths.

  • FOR THOSE WHO DON'T WANT TO BUY DLC, A TIP I HAVEN'T SEEN SUGGESTED MUCH:

If you have a DS1 save you get the refurbished plasma cutter which allows for a useful exploit to save ammo. Use the refurb PC and run to the nearest store when low on ammo. Sell it and buy it back free of charge. The ammo will be refilled and the weapon will retain all node upgrades. This effectively gives you a limitless ammo supply when near a store.

Thumb this up so more people will see it.

  • @QueenOliver That's only useful if you haven't upgraded the gun at all...otherwise, you lose ALL of the Nodes you used on it.

  • @4CzNs Incorrect. When you upgrade the PC, the upgrades carry over to the refurbished PC, and when you buy back the refurbished PC it will still have all the nodes the standard PC does. I am certain of this. It's how I beat hardcore mode. Unless they recently patched it out, or it's different with the 360 version or something, you won't lose your upgrades when you sell and buy back your refurbished PC.

  • @QueenOliver I don't know if it was only my game or not, but I tried that trick. Only when I bought it back for 0 Credits, it was completely naked..no Nodes on it. And yes, before I sold it, I had like 6 nodes on it.

  • @4CzNs Did you still have the standard plasma cutter? Because I believe the trick only works because the nodes will carry across both versions of the weapon.

  • @QueenOliver Yes, I did. And to clarify, this is the PS3 version I am talking about.

  • @4CzNs Well I don't know what to tell you. I just checked the game the game. No new patches and the exploit still works for me. I checked, and it doesn't work if you sell both your plasma cutters, but if you're sure that's not the problem then I don't know. Are you playing a different region maybe? I'm also playing the PS3 version in North America.

  • @QueenOliver Apparently it was a glitch on my part. I tried it again on the lowest difficulty for time reasons. I could buy back the Plasma Cutter I sold with all the nodes intact, but I can't get any Credits out of it. Oh well.

  • @4CzNs Glad to hear you figured it out. There are lots of similar exploits using the DLC like firing off rounds from the DLC detonator and picking them up to sell for infinite money etc. If you sell the standard PC instead of the refurb you'll lose some money each time you buy it back, so it's better to sell the refurb and buy it back for free.

  • @QueenOliver Well, I have all of the DLC for the game, so I have all the weapons being offered save for the Zealot Suit and Force Gun.

  • @QueenOliver does it say on the title of the gun that it is refurbished?

  • @QueenOliver damn, only works with North America DS1 saves

  • @xXExedomeXx Huh, I guess EA hates cheaters unless they're from North America. Bigots!

  • @QueenOliver but you can download a save from gamefaqs.com

  • I used 4 guns, line, plasma, contact beam, and force gun. Stockpile on contact ammo when you meet the ubermorph, and upgrade the alt-fire special.

  • Isaac does flinch, you rushed too much

  • 10. Play smart and don't be stupid, be strategic. The enemies will probably kill you more than a 100 times during the course of the game. One simple mistake is all it takes to make you rage quit. 11. Go for the legs to trip them, then try aiming at one of their arms to sever the blades and use that on enemies to conserve ammo (enemies usually have 2 arm blades on top, so make sure to kinesis for insurance). 12. Buy 5 small med packs at beginning, then 5 mediums later on. 13. Ripper = ammo savior

  • 6. Since you can only save 3 times on hard core, I would recommend saving on chapter 6 (if you don't die), then save on chapter 9, and then at the beginning 13 when Isaac crashes through government sector. 7. When enemies are on ground, try stasis and melee (stomp/smack) to save ammo. 8. You won't have enough money to upgrade everything, so upgrade the most important things at the bench while leaving yourself with one power nod (to open special closet doors). 9. Upgrade the ammo capacity + power

  • Tips for beating this game on hard core mode. 1. Play it on casual so you know where everything is. 2. conserve ammo by using kinesis objects on enemies like rods or their own claw blades (usually2). 3. don't ever underestimate the enemy. Especially the exploding sack guys. One hit is all it takes. 4. Make sure to upgrade your stasis as much as possible, that way, you can run from enemies more easily. 5. Keep the plasma cutter, line gun, ripper, and javelin. This loadout saves you a lot of ammo.

  • do upgrades, nodes or credits get transferred from the first playthrough to the hard core one?

  • @Stefan61713

    No.

  • @Stefan61713 No, you have to pretty much start a new on Hard Core mode and play it like for the first time. Hard Core is actually more realistic in a lot of cases. Mostly owning to the fact that when you get hit once, your health drains to 50%, or you die. Trust me, this game will frustrate you on Hard Core mode. You need planning before you go into a room guns ablaze. For you to die and not save is like starting back at the beginning of 6 hours of stressful thinking. But you get the hand cannon.

  • @monopoly500 from completing hard core u get hand cannon?

  • @TheOsirix12 Yes sir. Normally the game is 6 hours long (if you know where everything is and such and such), but added stress from being afraid to die in any room doubles it. So I would say a good 12 hour run or around there.

  • hardcore game

  • This is were I saved, ch.7 before going up the huge elevator, ch.10 before facing those two big guys, and ch.13 before the needle In your eye thing. For the drill part and final run toward final boss pack alot of double aid and mostly focus on upgrading u'r life points and on the final run, run like hell if someone comes in your way shoot the legs n keep running low on health just heal while running .

  • heres a tip for 8:27 , theres a set of shelves or container type rectangular holding areas, if you smash them, they will drop 4(I think) of those impale light poles.

  • its 2:20 in the morning and im playing dead space 2 in hard core. this is gonna suck so much ass!!!!!!!!

  • I'm almost through on Zealot and am planning on going for Hard Core next. Zealot's been pretty easy so far, I've only died twice, so I think I have a fair shot at hard core. For saves, I think I'd put the first one at the middle point in the game, then the second one before the CEC section, then the last one after the mining drill leaves Isaac in the Government Sector. That'll give me a nice balance for probability of death, to proximity to save.

  • I died after the solar array part, where you have a save point to the right of the store. I tried to go to the store, but I accidently went to the save station, and I clicked on "No I don't want to save". The room went black and I fell.... and I never landed on anything but I died.

  • I'll be following your vids to do this, wish me luck :/

  • @Jesuskrieger dude when he says force gun i said to myself instead of force gun "pulse rifle bitches!!!!!" and btw the start is a little bit hard but after u get past the train make sure u take ur time eh otherwise you'll just keep dieing thats my advice i can give yah ^^

  • @IcedBroom Yeah, the last time I tried this I got to the beginning of chapter 8, where I got killed by a few black necromorphs (you know, the really tough ones). I had saved at the end of chapter 5, which was a mistake. I've watched through all of NGT's hardcore videos, and he advises you save for the first time right before the solar arrays. Only problem is, NGT, for some reason, stopped making hardcore videos before chapter 10. It's a shame, NGT was doing a really good job of explaining things

  • What other weapon would u recommend if we dont have the zealot force gun???

  • I just shoot once and go beat the shit out of them it works :P

  • This game (mode) sounds EVIL INCARNATE.

  • Xbox sucks :D Cmon Fanboys spray me with your hateful comments.

  • @Farallux lol

  • @Farallux you mad

  • no one cares fabio I already bought old spice fiji.

  • In Hardcore Mode is the difficulty of the monsters harder, or is it just hardcore because you can only save 3 times with the little health and ammo?

  • @GunArts0231 the monsters are survival diffuculty level and the ammo and health drops are zealot level and yes when you die you restart at your last save so plan where you save wisely hope i helped.

  • One time, i was pretty good... I made it to Chapter 9 without saving... than I died and had a fucking rage quit. It´s so frustrating .

  • @xXGoldenFishXx360

i made it to chapter 8 without saving but i saved to be on the safe side

  • @xXGoldenFishXx360 why didnt you save at 8 and keepet going and get to 11 or 12 and save then last save at 13 or 14 but i will do save at 5 and 10 and then at 13 or 14 dont know yet

  • @redxify I did my first save at Chapter 10 because i know i'll get raped by those necromorph in the USG :p lmao. Then my 2nd was at Chapter 13 because that's like the best save for me cause if i failed at that eye poke machine i would be at Chapter 13 :p then i saved at Chapter 14 :D

  • I got to 6 where the 3 big necromorphs come out of the corridors with a crap load of those jumping stinging necromorphs. All i need is the Hard to the core trophy and i get a Platinum

  • @MrMgsguy same dude I've been mentally preparing myself for this

  • @MrMgsguy

The same there, just startet today on hardcore og fund out that you go back to your last save...

Its was 4 chapters ago... i´m never gonna get trought this...

  • imagine if after you cleared hardcore you got a new difficulty; Suicide which is hardcore X100, then you got Unbeatable which is hardcore X1,000,000 and then finaly you beat it and got 'You are out of your F***ing mind' which is hardcore X1,000,000,000,000,000,000

  • @ichigo709 It wouldn't be a problem if you can use the Hand Cannon :p

  • @MKShadowX oh yea and in You are out of your F***ing mind you can only use plasma cutter, no saves, no checkpoints and always have red RIG status

  • @ichigo709 Well i bet there wouldnt be the "always have red rig" part but i would bet if they did made it it may be like that BUT it would be easy :p well to me xD cause i tried Hard Core mode and to me it was easier than Zealot :) so using ONLY the Plasma Cutter would be pretty awesome xD but then again i would have to upgrade the damage a little bit early just to beat some enemies.

  • @MKShadowX it would also be awesome if you somehow beat it you can play as nercomorphs as a whole new story

  • @ichigo709 Holy shit i was JUST thinking they should make a story mode where you be a special type of Necromorph like not too long ago :D

  • @MKShadowX creepy but they should do that being the Hunter would be really fun and the divider can possess humans and use their weapons, get one with the hand cannon and >:D

  • @ichigo709 Lol just own the humans xD and we'll actually see what happens when we become whole xD

  • @MKShadowX or you get to the end and Issac comes from nowhere and kills you making you scream "OH COME ON! SERIOUSLY! WHAT KIND OF F***ING END IS THAT!"

  • @ichigo709 Lol that'd be hilarious

  • @MKShadowX about then posses the guy with hand cannon heres the dialog

Mark: Hey Nick who had the hand cannon?

    Nick: Zack has it.

Mark: Isn't that Zack?!? *points at guy possesed by divider*

Nick: Yes wh- HOLY S*** IT HAS THE HAND CANNON! WE'RE SO SCREWED

Ten seconds later Issac goes into a room with blood splattered everywhere and corpses blown apart.

Issac: The Regenerator must have been here...

  • @MKShadowX how is hardcore easier than zealot?

  • @DaRetardion Well because when i first played Dead Space 2 i played it on Zealot mode so i didn't know what was gonna happen so i guess thats why and in Hard Core mode since i played all teh difficulty levels i can before Hard Core mode i knew what was gonna pop up and what's going to happen when and what will happen when you do this and this so i had more ammo, med pack, and health in Hard Core mode. The only hard part about Hard Core mode is the 3 saves; you gotta make them count.

  • The marker is so pretty

  • My reaction of the difficulties from Dead Space 2:

    Casual: Piece of cake. :)

    Normal: Not bad. :P

    Survivalist: Normal but hard. :l

    Zealot: Kinda tough. o.o;

    Hardcore: Shoot me! X_X

  • Oh yea just got the game can't wait to play it

  • Guys, if You dont care for the trophy, but want the HandCannon (Foam Finger Gun), follow the steps, first start off in HardCore mode, make it to Chapter 1, there should be a Save, STOP, change your difficulty to anything except hardcore, next once difficulty is changed, save it, continue saving all the save stations, get to the ending, turn on hardcore, beat the boss, Ta-da!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw this has 2 be a new game, not new game+

  • @FutureSolda

Are you absolutely certain this works. Because IF it did couldn't you just then use the hand cannon in another hardcore walkthrough to get the trophy??

  • @FutureSolda I'm gonna try this right now. I'll post back once I find out whether or not it works

  • @Fatalshot11 Ok its been two weeks, did you do it yet?does it work?

  • @shooterb0y23

Ended up not working sadly. Started all over again and actually one-shotted Hardcore within 4 hours! Sorry xP

  • @FutureSolda

I thought you couldn't change the difficulty in-game... how?

  • @FutureSolda What if you load from a previous game that was on "new game" not "new game+"? will you still get it? or do you have to start a new game on Hard Core then change the difficulty then on Chapter 15 change it back to Hard Core??

  • @FutureSolda So does it works?

  • WHO THE FUCK WOULD WANT TO PLAY THIS MODE, LIKE I WOULD DEADASS GO CRAZY IF SOMETHING HAPPENED

  • "Did you have contact with this "marker"?"

Yes, yes I did, it was colored blue and the smell was horrible.

  • i got to like chapter 5 without saving and i died and i was like fuck it i give up

  • you can kill them with the flash light its easyer and faster

  • Comment removed

  • I got to chapter 5 and went too high up after the gravity turned off and I died I was so pissed cuz I didnt save ;(

  • thant scream was probley the scarest part of the video

  • @HAWK016 I did Zealot on my first playthorugh :/

  • @SSDB93 so did i

  • I got to Chapter 11 last night and on chapter 10 when you fight your first pack of advanced Stalkers I thought I killed them all and right when I came around the corner a Stalker ran right infront of me and it scared the fuck out of me.

  • dlc maks it much esier, i got to ch. 7 in 2 hours

  • The use of wits is even more important in this game if you play at Zealot difficulty level... Hard to imagine Hardcore mode...

  • @HUDJ0679790 hardcore is actually zealot difficulty but only three saves and probably makes people really nervous because there are no checkpoints only three saves

  • @layZEntertainment not only that, hardcore isn't a new game+ mode. which means you have to restart everything, I have fully upgraded armor and guns, but if I wanted to play hardcore, I'd have to restart everything, unless you have the zealot force gun and suit and/or the dlc. I beat the game on zealot thinking I would get the suit, didn't happen.

  • will it still count if i play the game on easy then the last level i swich the difucutly to hardcore mode .

  • @TheHalo0218 Im pretty sure you can only change up to zealot difficulty. Hard core forces you to start ALL over again.

  • @godzilla014 It'll let you go to Hardcore mode if you start a new game on easy but sadly it dos'nt work.

  • hardcore mode on the 360 has an advantage since its on 2 discs when you get o chapter 7 and change the disc its basically a save and even if you die you will start form chap 7:)

  • Zealot mode is gonna be so easy once I get the handcannon from doing hard-core mode.

  • @SecretAsianMan09 Aye man aye tips??? 2 beat the game on hardcore???

  • @SecretAsianMan09 Why don't you beat on Zealot mode first since it sortive gets you prepared for Hardcore mode.

  • I got so PO'd at Hardcore mode. I was on my 1 playthrough on Harcore, and at around Chapter 3 or 4, I die by one of those messed up doors you have to use stasis on. I used stasis on it, the very instant I am able to go through, it stasis wears off and the door comes down and kills me. Complete bull.

  • THE WALK THROUGH, THEY DO NOTHING!

  • actually hardcore is survivalist monster difficulty zealot ammo and health pack findings so it is basically hell in space...

  • what if u keep doing the campaingn on lower difficulties to earn credits, energy nodes or pimp up ur weapons. then startin it on hardcore. U dont loose ur weapons,or do u(?).

wouldnt it be more easier to complete the campaingn on hardcore?

  • @BrainForce95 the only way you get all your stuff back is using new game plus. hardcore difficulty is not allowed on new game plus. i know, it sucks.

  • Using the time to discuss strategy. Bless you.

  • You're truly awesome. I'm going to watch your videos and beat Hardcore, giving you credit. Again, thank you very much :)

  • I understand that what Hardcore is and the rules of it but what actually difficulty is it Normal, zealot etc.. or is it it's own difficulty, does anyone know what I'm getting at/

  • @clutchmc22 i think its zealot difficulty but u can only save 3 times but im not sure

  • I've used my last saves (first before chapter 4, I remembered how hard it was to hit the red barrels at the end, second in chapter 6, before the room with all he Leapers, and third in chapter 7 before the elevator), and I still have some pretty hard places left (Ishimura return, eyepoke machine and UberMorph/Hunter, last boss etc.)

should I restart again? I thought I'd save before chapter six, with the Leaper room, before entering Ishimura and finally before eyepoke machine, think that'll do?

  • @jokkepokke95 Believe it or not, but two days ago I've actually managed to do this. I'll tell you my save points which might help you out, 'cause your last save point gives you a lot to do in one life. First one on chapter 7 after you fix the elevator. Second one on chapter 12 before you ride on that bulldozer or whatever it is. Third and last one on chapter 14 I saved at the first save point after the eye poke machine.

  • @TheGameClown

i'll have to disagree at saving at 12 AND 14, it won't take long progressing the two last chapters again if you die at the eye machine, Nicole etc.

i was thinking of saving first in chapter four, before the huge thing throws you out in space, second before elevator ride and third somewhere in chapter 11, that'll even it out around 3-4 chapters between each save, so it won't be so bad (and i don't have to throw my PS3 out the window and buy a new one) every time i FUCKING DIE D:<

  • shot off there arm and impale them with it. save 2 shots per necro it helps alot.

  • So is it kinda like zealot mode but with only 3 saves?

  • @sgtbeeeeen

In fact, Zealot mode is actually harder in terms of health and damage, necros can take slightly more damage and you find less ammo/health in Zealot

So basically, it's a mix between Survivor (or what it's called) and Zealot, only with three saves

  • Once you beat Hardcore, can you play a +game on it? That'd be the best.

  • @PitchBlack696 no but you get a hand cannon once you beat it and basically it is the best fucking thing in the world it requires no ammo, and it rips the fuck out of people...

  • This is a pain. Thousand Dead Space one and this is my last achievement

  • im with you dvVampire22

  • Wouldn't it suck really bad if you died on the eye poke machine while playing this and your last save was 5 chapters ago?

  • @TheMjb25 Dude oh my fucking god i would hang myself.

  • @TheMjb25

What if someone wanted to go super hard core with no saves and died on the final boss?

I woud hang myself if that happened.

  • @TheMjb25 thats what i was thinking about, lol.

  • @TheMjb25 lol dude thats what i did xD i went in slowly with the fucking eye poker and at the last god damm sec icaac moves and i died.....you would not belive how pissed off i was at that very moment lol but yah when i got there a 2nd time i didn't die :P instead i won xD

  • You could just shoot one of their bladed limbs, use kinesis to grab the blade and impale them with it.

  • in 5:58 on the trailer the guy says "Isaac, were all gonna burn for what you did."

  • i like the game to be this hard..... its far more realistic. those bastards in easy kill u with like 10 slices and impales. in hardcore the can kill you with two blows

  • this put back the fear I had for this game first time I had played through it. I knew where all the enemies were, best way to deal with em and yet when I played Hardcore it totally threw me. I completely forgot where all enemies were and I barely survived butI saved at chapter 3 pretty early on cause I used a infinate credit glitch I knew in the shoppin arcade {same floor with nursery at the end} and fully upgraded my health and stasis. took me hours but it was worth it in the end

  • you play dead space. you play
